You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 127 A Will

“I fed him and put him to sleep just now,” Luna said, now more concerned about Freya. She was worried that Jack Silverton’s displeasure might have put Freya in a difficult position.

Freya shook her head, “Let’s leave.”

“Where to?” Luna asked.

In truth, Freya didn’t know. She only knew that right now, she had to leave with Kai. Luna lent her a helping hand.

“Freya, are you really okay?” Luna looked at her with concern.

“I feel like I’ve made a lot of mistakes…” Freya’s voice was low. The appearance of Jack Silverton made her realize many things. Her emotions had clouded her judgment. She had been foolishly hoping to be with Elijah, ignoring the unbridgeable gap between them caused by her child. The Silverton family had a complex background, and an outsider’s child could never fit in. Freya couldn’t let her son suffer. If she left Kai in the Silverton family, he would undoubtedly be mistreated.

“What mistakes have you made?” Luna asked.

“I shouldn’t have brought Kai here. Jack was relatively lenient with me today, probably out of consideration for my deceased grandfather. Otherwise, both Kai and I would have been thrown out.”

She had been thoughtless.

Jack was right.

Luna sighed, not knowing how to comfort her. She could only reach out and gently pat her shoulder to express her sympathy.

“I’m fine.” Freya understood that the fault was hers, and she couldn’t blame Jack for making those demands. She had been thoughtless.

Freya first found a well-suited hotel to stay in. Luna helped her pack, saying, “This isn’t a solution. Have you thought about where to settle down?”

For adults, it might not matter, but Kai was still a little baby, and wandering around with no fixed place wasn’t suitable.

“After I handle my father’s affairs, I’ll buy a house for my mom and Kai to have a stable place,” Freya sat on the bed, looking at Kai. “Now that I have Kai, I shouldn’t expect love anymore.”

“What nonsense are you talking about? Just because you have a child, you can’t have love?” Luna felt she had suddenly become too pessimistic.

She sat next to Freya. “My initial concern was that the Silverton family is not an ordinary family, so I thought you should keep it a secret.”

Having been ostracized by a big family herself, Luna understood what kind of situation Freya was about to face. Thinking of her own experience, Luna felt even more desolate.

“You are much better off. After all, Orion truly loves you.” Said Freya.

Luna wasn’t facing it alone.

Freya took a deep breath, choosing not to dwell on it. She didn’t have time to think about these things now. Leo Stone hadn’t been laid to rest yet.

“Can you take care of Kai for a couple of days?”

“Of course,” Luna assured her. “You can rest assured, I’ll take good care of Kai.”

Freya had only one best friend in Luna, so entrusting Kai to her meant trust.

“Things are a bit rushed. Take care of yourself,” Luna comforted her.

Freya nodded. She would be strong for her son, and she needed to gather her spirits.

“I’m afraid my mom will suffer in the Stone family. I have to go back.” Freya said.

Luna assured her to handle things with peace of mind, and Freya left the hotel and went to the Stone family.

As soon as she entered, Freya saw Yolanda aggressively asserting herself in front of Elowen.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“You, a rejected woman, have the nerve to preside over Leo’s affairs. The title of Mrs Stone should belong to me!”

Elowen didn’t react as she usually did when bullied; she remained silent and endured.

“I haven’t divorced Leo Stone, so you have no qualifications,” Elowen calmly retorted. Her response, more than what Freya had said, silenced Yolanda.

Yolanda’s sore spot was that she hadn’t married Leo Stone, leaving her without a legitimate identity. At this moment, Elowen’s statement, even more so than Freya’s, infuriated her. Coupled with Zane Stone’s injury, she exploded, raising her hand to slap Elowen.

Freya stepped forward, grabbing Yolanda’s hand. “My dad just died, don’t act like a shrew.”

Yolanda turned to see Freya, her eyes almost popping out. “Alright, all of you. None of you came to take care of your father when he was sick, and now you want to divide the property? Let me tell you, all the money in the Stone family belongs to Zane!”

Her gaze shifted, more ferocious. “Freya, you’ve hurt my son. I won’t let you off!”

Freya didn’t bother with her nonsense and simply pushed her aside. “Stop causing a scene!”

Everything would be discussed after the funeral.

Yolanda had to endure, after all. She couldn’t beat both Freya and Elowen. Now she thought of her son again. If Zane Stone were here, she wouldn’t have to fear Elowen and her daughter anymore.

Elowen Noir, unwilling to argue with someone like Yolanda, led Freya to the side and asked in a low voice, “Why are you here? Where’s Kai?”

“I left him with Luna…”

“Freya.” Before Freya could finish her sentence, Elowen interrupted.

Freya looked puzzled. “Mom, what’s wrong?”

Elowen’s gaze had been fixed on something behind her. Following her mother’s line of sight, Freya turned around and saw Elijah standing not far away.

She was surprised. “Why are you here?”

Elijah said, “I’m here to see you.”

Elowen patted her daughter, saying, “I’m here, you can go.”

Freya acknowledged and was about to walk over when Elijah approached. “If there’s anything you need help with, just let me know.”

He seemed to address Freya but also Elowen.

Elowen knew her daughter’s marriage to Elijah wasn’t a result of love. Freya had secretly given birth to Elijah’s child, indicating that their marriage wasn’t going well. As her prospective mother-in-law, she had no standing or status to lecture Elijah. Moreover, she didn’t want to cause trouble for her daughter. So, Elowen walked away.

Freya also took Elijah aside. “What are you doing here?”

Elijah felt her question was odd. “As your husband, shouldn’t I be here after your father’s death?”

Hearing the word “husband”, Freya’s heart tightened, and her nose felt sour.

“Don’t be sad.”

Elijah thought she was grieving over Leo Stone’s death, so he pulled her into his arms. “I’ll take care of you from now on.”

Freya bitterly closed her eyes.

Three days later, Leo Stone’s funeral concluded. The lawyer gathered everyone from the Stone family in the main hall. Zane Stone still had bandages on his head, and he seemed disinterested in whatever the lawyer was going to say. His face was filled with grief for losing his father.

“When Mr Stone knew his disease, he made a will…”

“Is it about giving all of the Stone family’s assets to Zane?” Yolanda interjected.

The lawyer spoke calmly, “Please be patient. The will is here.”

After saying that, he took out a document.
