They decided to have Jovanian food for dinner.

As soon as they sat down, Sandy tugged on Bryan’s sleeve and whispered, “This place isn’t cheap, right?

Bryan replied, “About 1500 per person.”

Sandy gasped. “Dr. Quinton really has guts.”

“I’d say Dr. Jefferson doesn’t mind at all. He hasn’t stopped smiling since leaving the lab,” he remarked.

“That’s true. Now that you mention it, Dr. Jefferson seems to be in a good mood lately. He seems to be more warm and approachable now.”

Bryan nodded. “So it’s not just my imagination after all. But… What’s the good news recently?”

Sandy shook her head. “None that I can recall.”

How strange…

The restaurant might have been pricey, but the food was worth it. Everyone ate with great satisfaction.

Miranda nodded. “The foie gras is nice.”

The next moment, her plate had an extra serving of foie gras.

Paul withdrew his fork. “Have more if you like it.” He had given her his portion.

Seeing this, Silas remarked, “Paul, I’d like the steak as well.”

“Hmm, I like it too,” Paul replied nonchalantly.

Was that it?

Silas turned to look at Sandy and Bryan, but they were completely unfazed. He was at a loss for words. Paul and Miranda were literally sharing a dish, yet these two didn’t find it suspicious at all?

At that moment, Miranda got up. “I’m done. I’m going to the restroom.”

“Any more orders?” Paul asked.

Everyone shook their heads. “That’s enough, we’re full.‘

“Alright, I’ll go settle the bill.”

With that, he left the table and followed her.

Şilas clicked his tongue and turned to Sandy and Bryan. “Is the food tasty?”

Sandy nodded. “It’s very delicious! Dr. Quinton, I think this is your best pick so far.” Bryan agreed enthusiastically.

Silas suddenly said, “By the way, did you guys not see Paul giving Miranda his foie gras just now?”

“Yes, we saw it. What about it? Dr. Quinton, do you want some too? Should we order another portion?”

Silas fell silent. This was ridiculous!

“Don’t you two find it strange?”

Sandy questioned, “Strange? About what?”

“Don’t you think that Paul is being a bit too nice to Mirada?”

“Well, he is very considerate toward her, but what’s the problem?”

Silas shook his head in disbelief.

The group stood outside the restaurant when it was time to leave. Bryan and Sandy had called for a ride, but the car hadn’t arrived yet. Silas drove his car there.

“Dr. Jefferson, how are you and Miranda getting back?

Paul said, “We live nearby, so a walk will help with digestion.”

Sandy nodded. “That’s nice.”

“Alright then, we’ll head off first,” he said. With that, he extended his hand and Miranda naturally placed her hand in his.

The two interlocked their fingers and left together.

Sandy and Bryan were completely stunned into silence while Silas fumed, “Damn it! He pulled it off again!”

That night, a post with the title, “How Do I Subtly Hint and Low–Key Brag to My Buddies That I’ve Got a Girlfriend?” was trending on an online forum. There were over 100 thousand comments on the particular post.

The original poster finally replied in the comments, “There’s no need to tell them. Just kiss her in front of them.”

In under two hours, that comment had over 200 thousand likes. The replies were equally entertaining.

“You’re a terrible friend.”

“Are you trying to show off? The audacity!”

“Thanks, but no thanks…”

Meanwhile, the original poster had already uninstalled the forum application and disappeared into the crowd.

The next morning, sunlight streamed in through the balcony window and into the room. The air was warm and rich with the scent of summer. The sun hung like a fiery orange ball in the sky, ready to

unleash its heat at the peak of the afternoon.

Miranda woke up early, as usual, her circadian rhythms were now used to it. She got up and made breakfast. noveldrama

She met up with Paul right on time, and the two left together.

“What’s for breakfast today?”

Miranda answered, “Egg pancakes and orange juice.”

“You’re trying something new,” Paul remarked.

Miranda headed to the garage to get her car as she needed to go to the lab. Paul’s lab was nearby as it was close to the college, so he could walk.

However, he still got into Miranda’s car and rode with her for the short stretch before getting off. Miranda laughed at him. “It’s such a short distance. Don’t you think it’s troublesome?”
