“She was on the phone; I didn’t see all of the contact’s name but at the end had… Pinnock Sir, that’s when i tried taking the file but couldn’t.” Emmari said to him, immediately he stood with surprise.

“What?!!” He yelled out and everyone heard, just then Kuwain decided to enter after asking his messenger about it.

“What is going on?” Kuwain asked but Emmari eyes was stuck on Kyhe.

“Go back to work!” Kyhe said to her lowering his voice, Emmari nodded and leave his office.

“What happened?” Kuwain asked looking at him as he sits down.

“I don’t know. Emmari just informs me that Jhonia left with Quearnis contract.” Kyhe said to Kuwain, who quickly notice that he didn’t look happy about it. Kuwain pulled one of the chairs and sat down.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“You think she’s gone after the contract for her husband?” Kuwain ask looking at him but Kyhe suddenly, thought that he said it as if he was too expecting Jhonia to betray Sky. While Kuwain wait for respond his phone rings.

“Hello!” He answers the phone.

“Hey, I’m calling from the office phone. If you are with someone, can you go a place where we can speak alone. It’s important!” Tyu voice came in on the phone and explain to Kuwain who looked at Kyhe as she asked. He stood and left his office, yet Kyhe was so caught up with the thought Jhonia is going to get the contract for her husband. Meanwhile!

“Okay, I need you to help me look into the Scandal which has Jhonia and Kyhe in it.” Tyu said to him, which made him narrow his eyebrows.

“Why would you want to do that?” Kuwain asked.

“Because… You heard about Kyhe kissing Jhonia?” Tyu said and stop, she then asks him.

“Yes, I was here after it happen. You didn’t answer my question!” Kuwain said to her then remind her of his question.

“Because i was trying to add it up between Nearce, his mother, and Jhonia. Which of the three would have done it but no of them would gain. 1. Jhonia wouldn’t have done it, even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t hide when the news came out that Nearce was married yet she has no effect with the media and kyhe tell me she’s traumatized by camera flash. 2. His mother has nothing to gain because in the end the truth would have come out, and she visited Kyhe because she thought that Jhonia was being fired and you told me how she adores Jhonia. 3. Nearce is an extremely selfish person. He finds a way to blame Jhonia while he confessed to being the one who cheated on her, if he did it to get at Kyhe but Sky still have Jhonia, so he didn’t gain. Help me investigate it, and I don’t care how long it takes.” She explains she was thinking about the matter seriously, about the three and what they wouldn’t gain. Starting from Jhonia she gives the reasons she believes it’s not her. Then Mrs. Pinnock who adore Jhonia, she wouldn’t want to hurt Jhonia. So, it’s not her. Then Nearce, a selfish person maybe he would have but he wouldn’t gain. In that moment Kuwain remember the conversation between him and the messenger.

“That is because she is innocent. The roles we played but she was too busy playing another role to be cheating on him. Also, you have failed to get the other half of the truth soon you friend will offer to help fix it, then you will know who was behind all this, for they are right in that office.” Kuwain remember and cleared his throat!

“You are right, I have too thought about it, but I was unable to see the truth. Who do you think would do something like this?” Kuwain responded telling her, he too thought about it and ask?

“Someone who hates and wants to hurt her, someone who is jealous of her and want to see her in pain, these persons or people are the ones who we should be looking into but where do we begin?” Tyu said to him explaining then ask. While Kuwain respond to her, Jhonia go off the elevator and went straight to Kyhe’s office even though Emmari was trying to stop he by calling her, Jhonia didn’t stop. She knocked twice then enter.

“Mr. Knight-”

“Where have you been?” Kyhe asked cutting her off!

“I-”

“Did you do it for him?” Kyhe asked again cutting her off?

“Excuse me?” Jhonia ask because she had no idea what’s going on.

“You know we’re competing now, so you went and get it for him. Yet you came to my house to apologize for making me feel betrayed by you. You couldn’t wait, could you? One minute you are on my side and the next minute you’re not!” Kyhe said to her saying he’s now going against Nearce, and she apologize so she could hurt him and ask. Telling her she doesn’t know which side she’s on. Jhonia had no idea what’s happening.

“First of all, I apologize to you because I meant it. Who are you competing with and what are you talking about?” Jhonia said to him, telling him that she meant her apology and ask still in question she stared at him.

“You are going to stand there and act like you don’t know what I’m talking about? Are you this heartless? Jhonia!” Kyhe said to her asking. He then yelled out her name in anger. She looked down from him, thinking about it but still couldn’t put it together she could only look at him and wait.

“Where were you?” Kyhe asked in anger, his eyes were raging with anger, yet Jhonia didn’t understand what was going on.

“I was-”

“I want the truth and nothing else.” Kyhe cut her and said pointing at her. In that moment she realizes that nothing she said he would believe. She began raising the file in blue copy to give him…

“Why did you go after the Quearnis cooperation for him, when you knew I sent Emmari to get it, why?” He asked after he noticed her silent, he yelled at her, in that moment she realizes it.

“Where have you been?”

“You know we’re competing now.”

“You couldn’t wait, could you?”

“One minute you are on my side and the next minute you’re not!”

“You are going to stand there and act like you don’t what I’m talking about?”

“Are you this heartless?”

“Jhonia!”

She remembers his words apart finally putting it together, his words make sense now and they hurt. Her eyes filled with tears. She stared at him hurting. Speechless she knows not what to do. Not knowing how to speak suddenly. She breathes out slowly. She raised both her hands and slamming them to his desk with the contract, she took a moment before looked up at him, with tears running down her cheeks.

I expected you to trust me, as your secretary. I wished you could trust me as Jhonia your secretary and not your enemy’s wife. I was really expecting you to at least trust me as Jhonia Smith your employee and not Nearce Pinnock’s wife. Really, I was expecting better from you because you made me felt that way. She leans up from his desk and leave. Kyhe stood in shock from being betrayed and seeing tears in her eyes. Jhonia rushed down and began taking her stuff! Emmari got up and leave. After getting her stuff, Kuwain approach her with surprised she’s taking all she had in the office.

“Jhonia. Is everything okay?” Kuwain ask but she turned around to him, in tears.

“I hate him, so much I felt dying but I was at least happy until he got in the way. Goodbye.” Jhonia said telling her hate for Nearce, but he didn’t get it. She said goodbye and began walking away…! Kuwain grabbed her arm, but she pulled away leave her badge in his palm. Immediately he looked up to Kyhe office. Others saw the badge hanging from his hand!

“Jhonia!!” Lusinly cried out but the elevator doors already closed! Kuwain turned and walked to his office in anger.

“What the hell is your problem?” Kuwain asked after storming inside.

“Nothing is wrong with me.” Kyhe said looking at him.

“Jhonia left!” Kuwain said and Kyhe runs his fingers through his hair.

“She took the contract and gave it to her husband!” Kyhe said to him, his cold tone tells Kuwain just how hurt he is.

“While I spoke on the phone, she enters your office with a blue file… There, she left without it.” Kuwain said pointing the file that is sitting on his desk unnoticed. Kyhe took the file and open it, went through it, only to drop it as he stood in shock.
