Later that night! Jhonia stayed a bit late to finish up her work because she was asleep early inside Kyhe’s office. She wishes to finish before going home. Kuwain and Kyhe came from his office and saw Jhonia getting up from her chair.

“She stayed!” Kyhe stated while looking at her setting up her things before leaving.

“Maybe, she was catching up where she left off! Sleeping wasn’t planned!” Kuwain said watching her.

“I guess it wasn’t. Come on.” Kyhe said to him as he was going down the stairs. Jhonia turned off the computer and the lights at her desk before walking towards the employee’s elevator.

“Jhonia!” Kyhe called out to her. She stopped with surprised and turned as she had thought she was the only one there!

“Mr. Knight, you’re still here?” Jhonia asked, looking at him as she was moments away from turning off the ceiling dim lights.

“Yea, I had work to finish before going home. Why are you now leaving?” Kyhe responded to her then, ask her. Jhonia phones lights up and he noticed!

“I had things to complete as well.” Jhonia responded to him.

“Why don’t you go down with us?” Kyhe asked and Jhonia looked at him with surprise.

“Us? Oh my, Mr. Kuwain, why are you standing there?” Jhonia question then said after seeing Kuwain, she asked because he was standing behind Kyhe.

“No reason, going down with us?” He responded and asked her.

“I would rather both of you go alone, self to self!”

Jhonia said with a smile, Kyhe walk over to her and take her hand taking her to the elevator then watch her stepped inside.

“Ahhahaha! He has bad!” Kuwain laughed softly and said looking at them.

He then makes his way over to the elevator and enters with a smile at Jhonia as he stands on her left putting her in the middle. The elevator began going down when suddenly the lights began flickering, like a flashing cam light. Kyhe notice Jhonia sudden heavy breathing. Immediately he held her hand and joined their fingers.

Jhonia suddenly became distracted from the lights. She looked down at her hand and see the hand holding hers was Kyhe’s. The elevator stopped and darkness took over the elevator and Jhonia mind began shifting from the present and to the past between. Kuwain phone sounds became louder to her ears. The beeping sounds of cars ring in her ears…

“They found us.” Her mother said, in a panicking tone of voice.

“Mom, what’s happening?” Jhonia asks, sounding scared.

“Sweetie mom and dad got into trouble with some very bad people.” Her mother tries to explain briefly.

The car was hit again and harder than before. “Mom, what did you do?” Jhonia asked in tears, her voice trembled.

“We are really po”

The car was hit again cutting her off! She quickly tries to remove something from the dashboard. She pulled it to herself then hand it to Jhonia.

“A book?” Jhonia asked, sounding angry while crying.

“Keep it with you at all times, open it and read it when you’re ready. But not now, right now you need to strap yourself in your seat. Quickly.”

“Jhonia, don’t trust anyone.”

Her mother’s words played back before she gasps into reality trying to let go off Kyhe’s hand. Suddenly, the lights come on the elevator began going again. Kyhe let her go but quickly notice she’s crying. He pretended not to see but he couldn’t ignore it for long…

They got off the elevator once it stopped! Kyhe took Jhonia by her hand stopping her at the entrance of the elevator removing his handkerchief and gave it to her to wipe her tears. Jhonia, surprised, noticed her tears then took them and wiped eyes then blew her nose as she stood in the elevator. Kyhe went down before her.

“You go ahead I will send her home and catch up with you.” Kyhe said to Kuwain.

“What’s happening?” Kuwain asked, looking back at him and noticed that he was somewhat troubled.

“I am not sure, maybe it has something to do with why she’s afraid of cam lights.” Kyhe said looking back at her walking out!

“Let’s send her home then.” Kuwain said as he too became worried. He opened his phone and looked at it but no messages from the messenger, he suddenly felt he was on his own with this one. He sighed loudly. Jhonia came out and Kyhe opened the door for her. She hesitated and checked her phone to see a message from Orean.

“Ms. Jhonia Please, keep your phone off silence. Crissian isn’t well am going to send her to hospital!” His message. She locks the phone and then it rings.

“Hello!”

“Did you go home? I’m on my way from the hospital, should I pick you up?” Orean asked before telling her he’s coming to her and asks.

“No, that’s okay. I’m already on my way home, take her home… Mmm.” Jhonia responded to him before getting on Kyhe’s car and ended the call.

“Hmm? Where is the driver?” Jhonia questioned asking for the driver, as she noticed his driver wasn’t there. Kyhe leans in and put on her seatbelt.

“This is my personal car.” Kyhe said to her in a sweet tone of voice. He raised up and close the door.

“Follow close behind.” Kyhe said to Kuwain with a pleasant look on his face as he walked around the car the back to the driver seat. Kuwain smile turn in a chuckle as he walked to his car and sat into the driver seat and start his car waiting on Kyhe. Who then started and turned in the opposite direction of his home, Kuwain turned out of parking and follow him. Time skipped! They arrive at the Pinnock’s residents.

“Are you okay?” Kyhe asked, looking over at Jhonia and realized she was sleeping.

“Should I lift you to the door?” Kyhe asked after getting no response he smiled and went around and unbelted the seatbelt take her purse and phone and lift her into his arms. He went through the single walkthrough gate and walked with all the way up to the house and rang the doorbell! Mrs. Pinnock was going to her bed when she turned back to get to the door.

“Ms. MçCold?” Kyhe asked in surprise!

“What happen?” Mrs. Pinnock asked, ignoring Kyhe, being surprised that she’s the one to open the door.

“Ah, she well! Just sleeping.” Kyhe said. Mrs. Pinnock stepped aside allowing Kyhe to enter the house with Jhonia then showed up the stairs to Jhonia room.

“Did anything out of the ordinary happen?” Mrs. Pinnock asked him.

“No really, the elevator blackout at some point and I noticed she was crying when the lights return.” Kyhe said to her, then explained to her what happened, and she nodded!

“I see.” Mrs. Pinnock said, and it sounded like a bad thing to Kyhe, he stared at Jhonia on the bed for a moment.

“Tell her she can have the day off tomorrow. I will get going.” Kyhe said and Mrs. Pinnock saw him out! Moments after Kyhe left the house Nearce entered.

“Who was that?” Nearce asked.

“Sky CEO, he sends her home.” Mrs. Pinnock said to him as she was going back up the stairs. Leaving Nearce stunned. She flashes a satisfying smile as she walks to her room.
