Chapter 301
Chapter 301
"Valerie, you betrayed Skyton Corporation for your own benefit. Now let me hear your take on this."
Coralie locked gazes with Valerie.
Her eyes were spilling hatred.
If it wasn't for Valerie, Hendric wouldn't have been born in such a desolate environment and he wouldn't
have been diagnosed with leukaemia. He wouldn't have suffered so much.
As for her and Skylar, they were also tormented by things they shouldn't have experienced.
Skyton Corporation was on the edge of a precipice, all because Valerie illicitly handed over the bidding
document to Yohan Green. She turned a blind eye to the crisis Skyton Corporation would be put under.
"Don't pull this crap with me. Where did these come from?" Valerie asked. Her face was almost stiff.
She couldn't let others know the unethical things she had done!
Neither the Holland family nor the Zac Family would be able to accept a person like her!
"You don't need to know this," Coralie rejected her question coldly.
Where did this come from? It was the last thing that Yohan gave her.
"Leo... Leonardo..." Valerie immediately realized it. "It's Leonardo! I knew it, I shouldn't have associated
with him. I shouldn't have made a pact with the demons. He entrapped me at last!"
Valerie was in a state of endless panic.
She sat back down, her tears falling uncontrollably. She asked, "Coralie, what do you want? I did
everything because of my love for Skylar. I have been with him for more than a decade, and everyone
knows that we belonged together. But you came out of nowhere and snatched him away, so I... I..."
Valerie was still normal a moment ago, but a minute later, she was almost in tears.
"Tell me Skylar's address and leave, as far as you can. I won't raise this matter again."
Coralie looked at the crying Valerie. She couldn't deny that there wasn't any softening in her heart.
She hated Valerie. She knew that she had harmed Hendric and Skylar, but she was right about what
she said.
Coralie had heard the recording and Valerie had done everything because of her love.
She didn't want to push her to the edge. Coralie felt that she could let Valerie go if she was willing to
leave and never to come back again, and as long as she would no longer bother them.
"Do you mean it?"
When Valerie heard Coralie's words, she stopped crying and looked expectantly at Coralie.
"Yes, I won't delete anything, but as long as you don't bother me, Skyton Corporation, or Skylar in the
future, I'll bring this secret to my grave."
Coralie said.
She was selfish as well. She wished Valerie could stop pestering Skylar. Even if both of them hadn't
done anything, Coralie would still feel uncomfortable in her heart.
Just then, Valerie had said that she 'helped' Skylar using her body and it made Coralie very
uncomfortable.
"Okay, I'll tell you, I'll tell you!"
Valerie confessed the address of Skylar's rehabilitation center without hesitation.
After confirming it, Coralie was about to leave.
However, Valerie seemed to be reminded of something and suddenly asked, "Where is Leonardo?
Where is he now?"
Valerie knew that Coralie was going to marry Leonardo before. Now that she was suddenly back and
even possessed something that should only belong to him, wasn't it strange?
"He is..."
At the mention of Yohan, Coralie's eyes drooped slightly, and the expression on her face was a little
melancholic.
"What happened to him?" Valerie questioned.
"He's gone."
Coralie only left a brief response before she turned away to leave.
She didn't dare to say that Yohan was dead, nor did she want to declare out loud that he was dead.
Perhaps she didn't want to admit that he was dead at all.
She still remembered that lovely chubby boy who used to stick to her at all times, Yonn.
However, that was such a long time ago.
"He's gone?"
Behind her, Valerie had no idea what Coralie meant, but when she raised her head again, Coralie had
disappeared from the coffee shop.
Coralie had just reported to work, so she didn't dare to ask for a leave. She could only wait until Friday
before she could go to Skylar's place.
......
That night, Valerie went to a bar to grab a drink before returning home in a taxi.
The place where Valerie lived was a high-end residential area. Normal cars were not allowed to enter. If
non-residents wanted to enter the residential area, they had to first obtain the consent of their host.
Valerie got out of the car at the gate of the residential area.
It was winter. She was wrapped up in a big coat and she was wearing a hat and sunglasses. As soon
as she got out of the car, she was stopped by a man in black who appeared all of a sudden.
"Valerie, I've been waiting for you for two weeks. Finally, you're not driving directly into the residential
area today!"
The man in black stood in front of her and spoke to her.
"Who are you?"
Valerie looked vigilantly at the man. He wore a hoodie and covered most of his face with a mask,
revealing only his eyes.
He recognized her at a glance and even called out her name. It was obvious that he was well-prepared.
"Who do you think?"
When the man heard Valerie ask who he was, he took off his mask and revealed his whole face.
Under the mask was a man in his thirties. His thin face was stubbled, he had high cheekbones and a
pair of almond-shaped eyes.
Valerie recognized the man at a glance.
The reason why she could recognize this person so easily was because she had just met with Coralie.
"You, you were released from prison..." Valerie muttered.
His name was Finley Horne. Ten years ago, he drove past the place where Valerie had hit Hendrick
Chariott with her car. His family was short of money at that time, so Valerie came up to him and offered
him a large sum of money, asking him to go behind bars on her behalf...
"Yes, I'm out of prison, but I can't find a job because of my criminal record."
Finley looked at Valerie and chuckled.
He was a businessman before he went behind bars. He fooled around by gambling and was
irresponsible at his job. Now that he was out of prison, he knew that Valerie would never let others find
out about her crime.
So he made up his mind to blackmail Valerie.
"Thanks for your help all these years. I can introduce you to a job, but it will be in another country.
Please don't come back in the future!"
Although Valerie's head was killing her at the moment, she was still adroit with her response. Thus, she
immediately began to speak politely.
Although Finley took hold of her weakness, in Valerie's view, it was also easy for her to deal with it. She
could just give him some money and have him sent off to another country.
Then, Finley would be left to fend for himself and she would have nothing to do with him anymore.
"Humph," Finley snorted and looked at Valerie. He immediately refuted, "Out of the country? No way.
My parents are here in this country. I have to stay and take care of them in A City!"
If a high-ranking person or well-mannered person found themselves in this situation, they might in fact
make a concession to Valerie considering her politeness.
However, Finley was different from them. He was not born into a rich family. The more Valerie behaved
like this, the more he felt that Valerie was a pushover who was easy to manipulate.
"A City... I'll think about it."
When Valerie heard that Finley wanted to stay in A City, she immediately lost her mind.
She didn't know who to ask for help. After all, it was obvious that Finley would take advantage of her. If
she kept him in A City, she might get into trouble very soon. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Think about it? Okay, this is my phone number. Call me when you've come to a decision. If you dare to
fool around with me, I'll expose everything that happened in the past!"
Finley was not afraid that Valerie would run away. He was not afraid of anything.
"I understand."
When Valerie turned to leave, she was no longer able to keep up her good manners and her face fell.
She went home and thought about her friends who had their own businesses. After thinking for a while,
she finally decided to ring Jasper.
