Chapter 274
Chapter 274
"I don't want to watch that," Coralie refused.
She felt that it was impossible for Yohan to have a recording of Skylar. Even if there was, it would not
be decent recording, and it might even be some strange video taken secretly.
"Well, think about it again. This may be the one and only rare piece of information you will ever see in
this world," Yohan lured her.
His words made Coralie suspicious.
She struggled to push herself up and asked, "Yohan, you used to hate me mentioning Skylar, so why
are you offering to show me his recording now?"
"Because from now on, you belong to me alone," Yohan said. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
"What do you mean?" Coralie asked.
Yohan bent down and lifted Coralie up, then put her down on the bed. He looked at her with a smile but
it brought chills to her spine. He said, "Don't move, be good. Recover well for our wedding in three days
time. This time, even if you die, it won't be postponed further."
He enunciated. Coralie stared at him in disbelief.
"Yohan, why must it be me?"
Coralie asked this question repeatedly.
"I've already answered you. I'm going to marry you. I've set this as a goal for myself since I was a
child," Yohan answered.
He pulled the quilt over her as he spoke.
"Yohan, I want my phone. I want to contact my family," Coralie requested.
Actually, she wanted to inquire about Skylar's condition.
Regardless of life or death, she had to know.
Yohan seemed to have guessed Coralie's thoughts. He turned around and looked at Coralie. "No one
will tell you about Skylar," he said.
"Why..." Coralie asked.
"Have a good rest. In three days time, you will be my wife. By that time, if he is not dead, I will consider
letting you look at him and tell him that we are married."
After Yohan finished speaking, he turned around and locked the door from outside.
Coralie was desperate.
Although her head was still heavy, she got out of bed. She stumbled to the door and slammed on the
door in desperation.
"Open the door! I want to go out!" she yelled.
"Yohan! If Skylar is dead, I won't marry you!" She continued shouting.
"Open the door! I've been kidnapped!" She screamed.
She kept on shouting desperately at the door for a long time.
However, no one responded to her.
She was worn out and fell asleep at the door.
When she woke up again, there was a meal in front of her.
Coralie was locked in the room by Yohan. Other than desperately screaming, there was nothing else
that she could do.
Until the night before their wedding.
Coralie had already ruined her voice box, but still, no one paid attention to her. It was the first time that
she hated Yohan this much.
If Skylar was dead, moreover because of saving her, what was the point of marrying Yohan then?
Creak.
The sound of the door opening could be heard when Coralie was worn out from shouting as she was
leaning against the door in desperation.
She had already had her dinner by now and the dishes had been taken away. Who else would come?
Coralie was barely able to stand up.
After she fell that day, her whole body was aching although she wasn't seriously injured. Her head
especially was spinning so badly, as if it was going to explode. She felt like the world was going to flip
over as she stood up.
"Corrie."
Yohan's voice came through the door as soon as she stood up.
"Let me out," Coralie begged.
She struggled to stand up and she tugged on Yohan's trousers, hoping that he would let her go.
"Where do you want to go? Do you want to see Skylar? I have brought the recording," Yohan said.
"I don't want to see it," Coralie refused.
"You have to see it, otherwise, how would you know how much he loves you?" Yohan tempted her.
"What do you mean?" Coralie asked.
Yohan didn't answer her but instead locked the door and placed the key in his pocket. After that, he sat
on the sofa in the room, directed the small device that he was holding at the white wall, and pressed a
button.
Soon, there was a projection on the white wall.
"Come, let's watch it together."
Yohan gestured.
His expression was cold. Coralie realized that ever since that incident, the warmth that Yohan used to
have for her was gone.
He was the same to Coralie as he was to everyone else, cunning and always scheming, which was
why people were unwilling to cooperate with him.
"I don't want to watch it," Coralie refused again.
"Come and watch it with me. Then, I'll tell you what I know about Skylar's condition," Yohan offered her
a deal.
Coralie looked at him doubtfully and asked, "Really? You will tell me about him? You really will?"
She knew that he didn't like to tell the truth.
Yohan was skilful at lying and scheming.
"It's true," Yohan said.
He nodded but his expression betrayed him.
Even so, Coralie decided to accept the bet because she had no means of contacting the outside world.
She could only trust that Yohan would tell her.
She stood up and staggered to Yohan's side. It was only a few steps but she almost fell over.
She had a slight concussion from falling off the building that day. She hadn't fully recovered yet.
Yohan did not help her but allowed her to fall. Coralie had to support herself with the back of the sofa to
stand up.
As she walked toward the sofa, Yohan had already pressed the play button of the projector.
On the screen, Skylar was tied to a corner of the bed......
"Skylar..." Coralie called out.
She recognized from the background that it was Yohan's room but when was this recording taken?
At first, everything was normal.
"Why is Skylar tied up? What did you do to him?" Coralie asked.
"He volunteered," Yohan replied.
Yohan stretched out his hand and pinned Coralie down on the sofa. She couldn't escape.
"Volunteered? Impossible! Why would Skylar volunteer to get tied up by you?"
Coralie couldn't believe it.
She saw Skylar's mouth moving but didn't know what he was saying.
"What is he saying?"
Coralie asked.
"Do you want to know?" Yohan asked.
He pressed the small button on the remote. There were two small speakers on each side of the small
projector and the sound began to come from there.
"You can't hurt her these few days. I've already taken the injection. You can't give it to her anymore."
It was Skylar's voice.
Coralie seemed to realize something after hearing this.
It only took her one second to figure out when this recording was taken.
"It was that night, wasn't it? No wonder you never gave me any injection after that. It was because he
had already taken the injection for me?" Coralie asked.
She looked at Yohan expressionless.
"That's right," Yohan responded.
Coralie stared at the white wall. Soon, the medicine started to come into effect. He didn't shout or
scream but he was sweating non-stop.
After that, Yohan began to play the recording as Coralie was being injected. Skylar exploded after
hearing Coralie's continuous pleas.
"Why did you...Why..." Coralie couldn't take it.
"I told you that he volunteered," Yohan replied.
She looked at the projector and her tears were flowing uncontrollably. She tried to escape multiple
times but Yohan held her waist tightly and did not let her leave.
She cried watching the full recording. In the end, she was just sobbing.
"Yohan, no, you're no longer Yohan now, you are Leonardo. I'm going to kill you!" Coralie shouted.
She violently pushed the vase beside her and grabbed a fragment of the broken vase. She went crazy
and stabbed at Yohan.
Yohan dodged a little, but the vase fragment in Coralie's hand still scratched his cheek. A bright red
wound appeared and blood started to flow.
