You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 937 Don’t Come Back

Luna felt that his mind was still not clear, not carefully digesting what she said.

Maybe he would clear up after a night.

Orion tugged at his lips, “It seems like you don’t understand me at all.”

Luna retorted, “Do you understand me? If you understood me, you wouldn’t make things so complicated. I would just be a caretaker of the stars, and you would be my employer. Isn’t that better? Why do we have to make things so awkward?”

Orion said, “I understand.”

Luna turned back, “What do you understand?”

Orion replied with meaning, “You’ll understand soon what I mean.”

With that, he closed the door.

This time, it didn’t open again.

Luna was briefly stunned, but she didn’t dwell on it too much.

Orion’s devotion was indeed heartwarming.

But she had to be firm.

She and Orion could never go back to the way things were.

She couldn’t get over the barrier in her heart.

A broken jade, no matter how expensive the metal used to mend it, could never hide the cracks.

Those cracks would always remain.

Orion’s current persistence was probably just because their relationship had no resolution in the end.

But would they really be happy together?

Wouldn’t he think about Tyler’s existence?

About her past?

About why her face had changed?

Just by looking at her, he would think of what she had been through.

He would suffer greatly.

Even with love, could it last?

She closed her eyes, walked to the dining room, and saw that the food on the table had already gone cold.

Just like her relationship with Orion, it had turned cold.

Even if they forced themselves together, it wouldn’t be the same as before.

Why bother?

She didn’t want to get caught up in any emotional whirlwinds again.

She didn’t want her emotions to be swayed because of feelings.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

She was tired.

Really tired, drained of all energy.

She poured all the food into the trash.

Then she cleaned the dishes and plates, went to her room.

The next day, Luna didn’t see Orion. He seemed to have left early.

Whether he had processed what she said, had calmed down, or had left early because of work, Luna felt that he wasn’t in a good place.

The two of them were not in a place to be together.

As usual, she took care of the stars. When the stars fell asleep, she cleaned the house.

Suddenly, Alf came over.

“He asked me to take the stars,” he said.

Luna frowned, “You said he asked you to take the stars?”

She couldn’t believe it, “I won’t believe it unless he’s in front of me, telling me himself.”

Alf dialed Orion’s phone. When the call connected, he handed the phone to Luna, “Listen.”

Luna didn’t take it.

After all, she didn’t believe it.

Alf was helpless. He put it on speakerphone and said into the phone, “She doesn’t believe, you talk to her.”

Orion’s voice came through the receiver, “Luna, give the child to Alf.”

Luna asked, “Why? He’s a man, he won’t take care of the child…”

“The star is my daughter, what right do you have to question me?” Orion asked her.

Luna was speechless in an instant.

She had always emphasized that she was just the star’s caretaker.

But now she was being restricted by this identity that Orion threw at her.

She couldn’t even argue against it.

She said, “Where do you want to take the star?”

“The star is my daughter, I’ll take her wherever I want. You have no right or role to question me.”

Luna pressed her lips tightly.

Alf said, “Shall I take the star?”

Luna didn’t say anything.

It was as good as agreeing.

She had no right to stop it.

Alf said into the phone, “Okay, bye.”

He put the phone in his pocket, went into the room, picked up the star. Luna followed him in, watching him pick up the star.

She clenched her fists, trying to contain herself.

She asked softly, “Can you tell me where you’re taking the star? What does Orion want to do?”

Alf turned to look at her, “Can’t you just go along with it?”

Luna, “…”

“Hey, don’t worry, I’ll take good care of the star.” He said as he carried the star out of the house.

Luna followed, “Let me go with you, I can help take care of the star.”

“You can’t come with me,” Alf said, “If you leave, how will Orion carry out his plan?”

“His plan?” Luna’s heart missed a beat, “Does he still not understand?”

Alf said, “Yeah, all of you are out of your minds, making a fuss out of nothing.”

Luna lowered her gaze.

“Come on, I’ll tell you, as long as you agree, the star will have a home. Why are you resisting? I can see that you really care about the star, can’t you compromise for her?” Alf said.

Luna said, “I have nothing to compromise, even if there is, it’s Orion’s compromise.”

“He’s willing to compromise. Give him a chance to compromise?” Alf said.

Luna turned away, she understood.

Was Orion threatening her with the star?

“If the star doesn’t come back, I hope you don’t let her cry.” Luna gently touched the star’s face.

Alf, “…”

He was speechless.

“Alright, all of you are so stubborn.” Alf was still dissatisfied with Luna.

He felt that she could get along well with Orion for the sake of the child.

He understood Orion, he was a good person.

He couldn’t understand why Luna wouldn’t…

This was someone who didn’t understand the situation, evaluating the relationship between Luna and Orion.

Alf felt that Luna was being dramatic.

Orion had done so much, she should just go with the flow.

But Luna refused.

He thought Luna was in the wrong.

However, he thought there was still a chance for Luna and Orion.

She could accept Orion for the sake of the child.

But now, she simply couldn’t accept the matters of love.

No one could understand how cold and hard the heart of someone who had once sought death could be.

Alf carried the child into the car.

He closed the windows, not letting Luna see the star again.

“Drive.”

The car drove away from Luna’s sight.

She tried to take a few steps forward.

But how could a person’s legs catch up to a moving car?

The car quickly disappeared from her sight.

Luna felt drained of spirit, her whole body went limp.

Her pillar of strength was the star, without the star, she had no spirit left.

She returned to the house.

Alone, she sat for a long, long time, until her legs went numb.

With the star gone, the emptiness in the house was terrifying.

She got up, ready to head back.

When the star returned, she would return.

She packed her clothes, thinking that the star wouldn’t be gone for long, she should come back soon.

She wanted to wait at home.

She carried her bag out.

At that moment, Orion’s car pulled up.

He stepped out of the car.

His gaze fell on the bag Luna was carrying, “Are you resigning?”

Luna shook her head, “I’m here to take care of the star. Since the star is not here, I’ll go back first, and when the star returns, I’ll come back.”

Orion sneered, “You really are a good mother.”

Luna remained silent.

“Since you’ve taken my money, you should work for me. If the star is not here, you can’t leave. If you leave, then leave for good. I’ll find a new caretaker for the star.”

Luna’s hand by her side tightened.

She turned back to the room.

She lived for the star.

So she didn’t care about Orion’s attitude.

She put her things back in the room, came out and saw Orion walking in with someone else.
