Orion was shocked. “You lost your job?”

Luna couldn’t be bothered with him. Orion stubbornly grabbed her wrist.

“Let go!” Luna’s expression was one of extreme disgust.

Orion was deeply hurt by her expression. Did she hate him so much now?

“In your eyes, was our past relationship just a mess?” Was this a denial of their past feelings?

Orion couldn’t quite accept it. Even though they had broken up now, at least they had once truly loved each other, right? How could she evaluate it like this?

“Otherwise?” Zane came over with a glass of water, handing it to Luna. He glanced at Orion. “It was you who betrayed Luna, who didn’t believe in her. Hanging up that banner wasn’t her doing at all, but you caused her to lose her job. You’re truly despicable! But it’s okay, I will take care of her. You don’t need to worry, and most importantly, don’t bother her. And especially not today, don’t stir up trouble. My patience has its limits, otherwise, I might just punch someone!”

Luna pulled Zane away. Coincidentally, Luna didn’t want any more involvement with Orion either.

She didn’t want to argue with him anymore. Orion didn’t believe that Luna had hung up the banner, it was probably his mother who had done it. He couldn’t argue against that. What his mother did, and what he did, how much difference was there? He could only watch Luna leave him.

Suddenly, a big hand landed heavily on his shoulder, patting him twice. “You’re married now, so settle down and treat your new wife well. Stop bothering Luna.”

Evan blinked and asked in return, “Isn’t that the case?”

“Of course not. I know we’ve broken up, I’m not trying to bother her. I just loved her once, and now we can’t even be friends? Can’t I care for her like a friend?”

“Yes, you’ve broken up, so why try to be friends? It’s all nonsense.” Evan spoke with a heavy tone, “Take care.”

Orion angrily turned around and went home. Haley Holt knew how to please Orion’s mother. Despite being a newlywed and a rich young lady, she didn’t slack off when it came to doing things. And now, she carefully stewed some soup and respectfully served it to Mrs Russo.

“Orion is busy and doesn’t have time to take care of you. As his daughter-in-law, I will treat you well on his behalf.”

Mrs Russo couldn’t stop smiling and patted Haley Holt’s hand. “Leave these tasks to the servants, you don’t need to lift a finger. Just like when you were at home, you’re the precious child in your parents’ eyes. Since you’ve come to our family, I won’t let you be mistreated.”

Haley Holt lowered her head, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. She seemed shy, almost bashful.

“In this family, how could I be mistreated when you love me so much?” Haley leaned against her.

When Orion came back, he saw this scene.

“Haley, go upstairs.” Orion was angry, his tone uncontrolled.

“What’s wrong, Orion?” Haley Holt saw him and got up to calm him down.

“I have something to talk to my mom about, you go upstairs!” He emphasized his words.

Mrs Russo stood up, speaking kindly to Haley, “You go up first.”

Haley Holt had to act obedient and sensible. At this moment, she could only listen. She felt a bit uneasy. She didn’t know what Orion wanted to say to his mother. But instead of going into the room, she just opened the door to let the people downstairs hear some noise. She hid near the staircase and eavesdropped.

Soon, she heard what Orion was saying–
