Chapter 301 Disfigured
He couldn’t even speak, too nervous to utter a word.
The hospital director stood with his hands behind his back, looking at him as if he knew everything, and began to scold, “What do you think this hospital is? Your home? A place where you can do whatever you want?!”
Although the director had given Sivin some face during the Eric Lowe incident, he also warned him not to let it happen again. This time, he used his position to help Freya. Helping Freya was not wrong but lying was a grave mistake. To claim Freya was dead when she was alive and to replace her with someone else’s body.
“I’m sorry…” he apologized.
“I won’t listen to your apologies. In any case, I will not condone this. I will notify…” the director started to say.
“Director,” Freya struggled to stand up.
Sivin stepped forward to support her, “You’re still injured.”
Freya looked at the director, “This is something I asked Dr Peters for help with. If you want to blame someone, blame me. I hope you can forgive me this time.”
The director looked at Freya’s face, furrowing his brow.NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
In the past, she could be described as breathtakingly beautiful. But now…
“Your face…” the director said.
Freya replied, “It’s not serious, just disfigured. I’m still alive. Considering that I haven’t made any mistakes since I entered the hospital and have been working hard, can you help me this time?”
The director stared at her face and felt a touch of sympathy. Finally, he let out a deep sigh and said, “Well, let’s pretend I never came here. I don’t know anything. But this is definitely the last time. Otherwise, both of you will be out!”
The director’s words were harsh, but he didn’t pursue the matter any further. He turned around and walked out of the operating room.
Sivin let out a long sigh of relief. “Thankfully, the director didn’t blame us.”
Freya said guiltily, “I’ve caused trouble for you.”
“We’ve been helping each other, so it’s not a matter of causing trouble. Haven’t I caused trouble for you with the Eric Lowe situation?” Sivin said.
Freya smirked, wanting to smile, but it tugged at her wounds, causing a sharp pain.
“Let’s not say anything more. Rest well. Tonight, I’ll move you out of the hospital,” Sivin said.
Freya nodded.
She felt a bit embarrassed towards Sivin. She felt like she had taken advantage of him. Helping Eric Lowe wasn’t because of Sivin, but because of the letter Joan Nash had given her. But now, nothing else mattered.
It was all over now.
Freya lay down slowly, closing her eyes.
…
Evan knew that Xander had a good network in the country, especially since he was responsible for their overseas operations. If they wanted to find a place that would satisfy Elijah, they had to seek Xander’s help. Xander had made a name for himself in the country as well. He quickly found a solution.
A stone-built villa, situated halfway up the mountain.
This villa had originally belonged to a wealthy man and was designed like a Western castle. However, after the wealthy man passed away, his son didn’t like it and put it up for sale. Due to its high price, it hadn’t been sold yet. Evan twitched his eye, “A two billion-dollar villa to store a body? Isn’t that too extravagant?”
Xander rolled his eyes, “Do you think money is more important, or getting Mr Silverton to move on from Freya’s death faster?”
“Of course, getting him back on his feet is important, but can he move on if the body isn’t buried?” Evan questioned skeptically.
Xander had thought it through now.
“This matter will definitely take time. However, I’ve already taken care of your idea. I’ve planted a micro-tracker inside Thorne’s body. But there are wounds on his body, and I’m afraid he’ll discover it. It might take some time before we can execute the plan.”
Evan sighed, “There’s nothing we can do, we’ll just have to wait.”
He quickly changed the subject, “I’ll go report to Mr Silverton. I’ll need your help here. We might need to set up a cold storage.”
“Leave it to me,” Xander said confidently. It was a piece of cake for him.
“Alright, do it as soon as possible.”
Xander gave him a thumbs-up gesture.
Evan returned to the hospital. He didn’t see Elijah in the operating room. But Freya’s body was still there. He was puzzled.
Where did Elijah go?
Just as he was about to go look for someone, he saw Elijah walking towards him from the end of the corridor. And he wasn’t alone, there was someone beside him, carrying a suitcase.
Who was this person?!!
