Chapter 245 A Piece of Cake
Zane pulled over by the side of the road and asked, “What’s going on?”
Freya stared outside and saw that woman walking into the hotel. She pushed open the car door and got out.
Zane found her behavior perplexing and asked, “Freya, what’s going on?”
As Freya walked inside, she told Zane, “Find a place to park and then come over.”
Zane had no idea what was happening, but he followed her instructions. He parked the car in the hotel parking lot and followed Freya inside. Freya had already reached the front desk and said, “We want to book a room, right next to the lady who just entered.”
“What lady?” the front desk asked.
Freya said, “The one who just came in, Joan Lowe, Ms Lowe.”
“Oh,” the front desk understood, “Her room was booked by a Mr Vega.”
“Eric Lowe.” Freya said.
The front desk noticed that she knew the name and asked, “Do you know each other?”
Freya said yes.
The front desk helped her book the room.
“They are staying in the Presidential Suite, priced at $2, 600 per night. Are you sure you still want to book it?” the front desk asked.
Freya replied, “Yes.”
Soon, the front desk had everything set up for them. Freya pulled Zane along and said, “Let’s go.”
Zane asked, “Sis, $2, 600 per night? What are you booking a room for? And who are all those people you mentioned earlier?”
“I have no idea.”
“You have no idea, then why were you following them?”
“I’m not sure, that’s why I need to find out,” Freya said.
Zane blinked, not understanding what Freya was up to, but he decided to follow her anyway. Since they had already booked the room and spent the money, he figured he might as well see what the Presidential Suite looked like. He had never stayed in such an expensive hotel before. Once they were inside the room, Zane took a look around. Indeed, you get what you pay for. The room was spacious and luxurious. However, Freya had no interest in observing the room. She needed to find a way to connect with that woman. Only by getting close to her could she uncover her secrets. Suddenly, she had an idea.
“Zane, come here,” Freya called.
Zane walked over, asking, “Freya, you booked this room, are we going to stay together?”
Freya wasn’t in the mood for jokes. She said, “Let’s pretend to have a fight, and you pretend to hit me…”
“What are you talking about? How could I possibly hit you?” Zane was almost scared by her suggestion.
Freya said seriously, “Didn’t I say it? Pretend. That way, I can knock on the neighboring door for help, and it will all make sense.”
Zane blinked, digesting Freya’s words. She booked the room to investigate the woman next door, right?
“Alright.”
Freya asked, “Are you sure you can do it?”This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Isn’t it a piece of cake?” Zane was full of confidence and determination.
Freya smiled. “Alright then. With your confidence, I’m feeling confident too.”
But how should they start?
Freya noticed the teacup on the table and had a clever idea. She picked it up and threw it towards Zane’s feet.
Zane was startled. “Freya…”
“I didn’t mean to…” With that, Freya opened the door and ran outside.
Zane immediately understood that it had begun and angrily chased after her. “Where are you running? I’ll teach you a lesson.”
Freya was impressed by Zane’s performance. He did a good job. After a moment of hesitation, Freya knocked on the neighboring door.
“Stop,” Zane caught up and grabbed Freya. He felt that grabbing her arm wasn’t convincing enough, so he decided to grab her ponytail instead and whispered, “It’s just acting, I won’t use force.”
At this moment, Freya didn’t pay attention to what he said. Her focus was on the door. She was both excited and nervous. And then, the door to the room opened.
Freya saw that woman.
