You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 221 I’m Not Interested in a Puppy

Freya hesitated for a moment before asking, “Where are you? Should I come to you or do you want to come to me?”

“I’m at the office, getting ready to go home. Shall we meet at home?” Zane asked.

Freya agreed.

“But let’s not go home yet. Let’s go to the Stone family,” she told the driver.

With her phone in hand, she hesitated for a moment before dialing the number of their residence.

Linda answered the call.

“Is Elijah there? Let me talk to him. And is Kai causing any trouble?” she asked.

“Kai is doing fine. Mr Silverton isn’t here. He asked me to pack the things, saying he’s going on a trip. Didn’t he tell you?” Linda replied.

Freya thought of Elijah’s words and lowered her gaze. “He did tell me, I just didn’t know he would leave today. And did he mention how long he’ll be gone?”

“No,” Linda answered.

“I see.”

She felt frustrated because Elijah had clearly left in anger.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

He didn’t even give her a chance to explain?

She sighed.

“When will you be back?” Linda asked.

“Soon,” she replied.

After hanging up, Freya thought for a moment and tried calling Elijah, but his phone was turned off.

He said he was going abroad, so he must be taking a flight. His phone was probably turned off because he hadn’t landed yet. She put away her phone, adjusted her mood, and walked into the Stone family’s residence after arriving. Zane had already returned before her and walked over as soon as he saw her.

“Freya, take a look at this.”

Freya reached out and took the documents, furrowing her brows as she read them.

“What is this?” she asked.

“It’s her plastic surgery records.” Zane said.

Freya narrowed her eyes. “So you mean this woman named Sabrina Bush had plastic surgery?”

“Yes, and I couldn’t find her pre-surgery photos. Also, I think she might be the person who used me to go against you and Elijah. Although I didn’t see that person’s face back then, their silhouette resembled Sabrina Bush’s.”

Freya sank into the sofa.

Plastic surgery.

Using Zane to go against her and Elijah.

So, this person had a grudge against her and Elijah?

She looked at the person in the file and suddenly thought of Liora.

She narrowed her eyes. Could this woman be Liora?

Didn’t Liora fall into the sea?

But they never found her body.

Does that mean she might still be alive?

She had undergone plastic surgery to avoid being recognized by others so she could manipulate things from behind the scenes.

“So, she was the one who tried to blow up herself and Elijah last time?”

“Definitely.”

Everything suddenly made sense to her.

“What do you mean?” Zane was confused by her sudden statement.

Freya didn’t have the mood to explain to Zane at the moment.

Although she thought that way, she still needed evidence.

Just relying on this plastic surgery proof couldn’t fully prove that Sabrina Bush was Liora.

But confirming it wouldn’t be difficult.

She had attended the same school as Liora before and had worked at the same hospital. She knew her well.

“Freya, what are you thinking?” Zane shook her.

Freya snapped out of her thoughts and said, “It’s nothing.”

“Haven’t you eaten yet? Let’s go out for a meal later, I’ll tell her.”

Freya grabbed him and said, “I’m right here, who else do you need to tell?”

“Luna,” Zane said confidently, “She’s your good friend. Don’t you want me to tell her?”

Freya thought about it and couldn’t refute what he said.

So she nodded, “Go ahead then.”

Zane happily ran upstairs, probably to convince Luna to come down. “Come on, we still have Freya.”

Luna said, “You two can go without me…”

“You’re my friend too,” Zane insisted, pulling her down.

Luna reluctantly agreed, “You really know how to be annoying.”

Zane laughed and linked arms with Luna.

Freya watched Zane’s actions and raised an eyebrow. He had never been so intimate with her. She stared at Zane, thinking that he was being too attentive to Luna. She jokingly said, “Zane, Luna has a boyfriend, you know.”

“Hey, Freya, what are you talking about? I only see him as a younger brother,” Luna glanced at Zane.

Freya didn’t say much, she was just giving a reminder, just in case Zane had any ideas.

Zane pouted, “She’s currently in a fight with her boyfriend, who knows if they’ll still be together? Isn’t it trendy nowadays for older women to date younger men? Luna, I’m your young man, you can have me.”

Luna pulled her hand out of Zane’s grasp. “I’m not interested in a puppy.”

After saying that, she walked over to Freya. The three of them went out to the restaurant together.

At the dining table, Zane couldn’t stop talking to Luna. Freya couldn’t bear it anymore and said, “Zane, aren’t you afraid of Luna?”

Zane raised his head proudly, “I’m a grown man, what do I have to be afraid of?”

Luna handed Zane a piece of meat and asked, “Do you know what this looks like?”

Zane casually asked, “What does it look like?”

“Human flank tissue…”

“Stop,” Zane quickly interrupted her.

The meat in front of Zane suddenly didn’t taste good anymore, he could only eat vegetarian food.

Luna chuckled at her success. She thought Zane was easy to tease. Freya didn’t have a good appetite to begin with, so she left early. “You guys continue eating, I have to go.”

“Okay, be careful on your way.” Zane said.

Freya glanced at him, mumbled a response, and left.

Back at her place, she didn’t see Elijah and felt a bit uncomfortable. Because of work, Elijah had been at home almost every day during this period. Whenever she came home after work, she would see him. Linda had put Kai to sleep, so the house was particularly quiet. She took a shower and lay in bed, tossing and turning because she couldn’t fall asleep. Without Elijah around, she felt a lack of security.

Freya took out her phone, thinking that Elijah should have arrived at his destination by now. She hesitated for a moment, then dialed his number. His phone was still turned off. She couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

Her heart felt a bit empty.

Elijah had left in anger. Was he still mad at her?

Sighing, Freya hugged Kai closer and fell asleep.

The next day.

At the hospital, Ronan bought something to give to Sivin Peters. Although his mother was still in the ICU, he already knew that the surgery was successful. As long as she got through the critical 48 hours, she would be fine. He was grateful to the doctors who performed the surgery and wanted to express his gratitude.

Sivin Peters never accepts gifts, and he dislikes people who give gifts. He directly reprimanded him, saying, “It’s because of people like you that there’s such corruption and evil.”

Ronan could not blame himself for having doing this. However, he couldn’t force it upon Sivin Peters, especially when his words were so blunt and unpleasant. Ronan also had his pride. Considering that Sivin Peters was his mother’s attending physician and had performed a successful surgery, he couldn’t just turn his back on him. So he said, “Let’s just pretend I didn’t come.”

“Wait,” Sivin Peters called out to him.

Ronan turned back, “Have you changed your mind?”

Sivin Peters’ face turned sour once again as he lectured, “I know you have good conditions, but just because you have money, does that mean those who can’t afford to give gifts shouldn’t receive treatment?”

Ronan was at a loss for words.

He was wrong again.

“I called you back because I wanted to tell you that I didn’t perform your mother’s surgery.”

“What?” Ronan was extremely surprised. “If it wasn’t you, then who did?”
