You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 112 Her Murderous Intent

Xander looked utterly confused.

“Go retrieve her. Even if she’s dead, I want to see the body,” Elijah said.

Xander instructed people to equip themselves and go into the sea to retrieve Liora.

Distressed, Rylan genuinely liked Liora; otherwise, he wouldn’t risk angering Elijah to get her out of jail.

“Elijah, you’re committing murder!” he shouted angrily.

Elijah remained icy-faced, not even glancing at him. Xander felt Rylan was seeking trouble. He sneered, saying, “She jumped into the sea herself. Who killed her? Besides, we’re going into the sea to save her!”

Rylan, infuriated, turned red in the face. “You’re twisting the truth!”

“I told the truth.” Xander shrugged, adopting an indifferent attitude that almost made Rylan unhinged due to anger.

After an hour or so, the men who went into the sea returned to the boat. One of them said, “We couldn’t find her, it’s too difficult. The sea is vast, especially at night. The visibility is poor, and it’s challenging to find someone.”

Rylan, looking over the railing and seeing the endless sea, lit by the faint moonlight, knew that it would be nearly impossible to find her. If she hadn’t drowned, she could succumb to the cold or be attacked by sharks.

“Liora.” Rylan felt heartbroken, almost on the verge of tears.

Xander sneered, thinking Rylan had never seen a woman before. Why would he go to such lengths for someone like Liora?

But Rylan wasn’t necessarily wrong; he simply liked a woman, and in his eyes, she was the best.

He just liked her.

It was probably the same reason Elijah liked Freya.

There was no specific reason for the feelings.

Xander quietly asked Elijah, “What do we do now?.”

Elijah pondered for a moment and said, “You take some men to guard the ship overnight.”

He wanted Xander to board Rylan’s ship in case Liora was saved by Rylan.

“Alright, I know what to do.”

Back at the villa.

After Elijah left, Freya waited for his return. She wanted to finish what she hadn’t said before. She needed to tell Elijah about the twins she was carrying. Although she lost one, she managed to keep the other. While waiting, she video-called Elowen, watching her son through the video.

A smile lit up her face.NôvelDrama.Org © content.

“Freya, do you have something happy to share?” Luna appeared in the video as well.

Freya replied, “Kind of.”

She was more at ease now, having confessed to Elijah.

“Oh, Freya, I might have to go to Urbora City for a while,” Luna said.

Before Freya could ask if it was related to Orion, Luna Ann continued, “It’s work-related.”

Freya still wished Luna would be honest with Orion. However, she could only sigh as an outsider.

“I’m here, and I can pick you up,” Freya adjusted her mood, smiling.

Luna responded, “My team might not have time to meet you.”

Freya didn’t see it as a problem. “If you can’t come to see me, I can go to see you.”

“Alright,” Luna smiled.

Kai suddenly cried.

Freya nervously asked, “What happened to Kai?”

“Ah, he’s probably hungry or needs a diaper change.” Elowen interjected. “When can you wrap up things on your end and come over?”

Freya pondered their current situation and replied, “Soon.”

After a moment of hesitation, she asked, “Mom, do you want to come over?”

“Come over for what?”

Freya wanted her to meet Leo, considering his current situation–his time was running out.

“Maybe we could still live in Urbora City…”

“I think things are fine here.” Elowen remarked, having grown accustomed to life on that side. She had no worries, just taking care of Kai.

Freya didn’t insist and planned to discuss it when they met.

They continued chatting, with Freya asking about her son’s well-being.

After ending the video call, Freya went downstairs feeling a bit hungry. She found a piece of cake in the refrigerator, scooped up a bite with a spoon, enjoying its soft texture mixed with the fragrance of cream and the fruity layer.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

Linda wasn’t around.

She placed the cake on the table and went to open the door. Seeing the visitor, she was momentarily stunned. The person at the door was Yolanda.

Freya, with a cold face, asked, “What are you here for?”

Yolanda looked at her, cried out suddenly, “Freya, your father is not doing well. He wants to see you for the last time. I had no other way to contact you, so I came to tell you in person.”

Freya’s heart felt like it had plunged into icy water, chilling her whole body. Shocked, she couldn’t believe it. “So soon?”

The experts had mentioned there was still some time.

“Yes, it was sudden…” Yolanda said, crying.

Freya didn’t hesitate; she called for a driver.

But the driver wasn’t there.

Yolanda said, “I have a car. Come with me; your father can’t wait. We don’t have time.”

Freya, anxious, didn’t think much. She quickly put on her shoes and rushed out. “Let’s go.”

Yolanda stared at Freya’s back, revealing a triumphant cold smile.

Once Freya got into the car, her face displayed an urgent expression.

While driving, Yolanda said through tears, “The doctor said your father still had some time, but somehow, he suddenly couldn’t make it…”

Freya clenched her fists, forcing herself to stay calm. “Focus on driving.”

“I will,” Yolanda said as she sped away.

Freya looked out the window. But soon, she realized they were on the wrong route. It wasn’t the way to the hospital. “Are you going the wrong way?”

Yolanda calmly said, “I’m taking a shortcut to the hospital.”

“From the mansion to the hospital, I know the shortest route, and this isn’t it. Taking this path will only make it longer. Yolanda, what are you up to? Where are you taking me?”

Yolanda calmly replied, “I’m taking you to see your father.”

“No, this is wrong!” Freya realized something was amiss.

“Freya, tell me the truth. What secrets do you and your father have?” Yolanda changed from her previous mournful expression to a sinister one.

Freya squinted, “Are you deceiving me? Is my dad really not okay?”

“Of course, he’s fine. He can’t die now. Only if you die first will he be able to leave everything to my son.” Yolanda said coldly.

She discovered that Leo had secretly consulted a lawyer. She couldn’t get information from the lawyer since he was loyal to Leo. Combined with Freya’s unusually mild attitude towards Leo and her expressing gratitude, it was clear there was a secret between father and daughter.

She had to be cautious.

Freya asked in disbelief, “You want to kill me?”
