Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 315

ter 315 I'll Wait For You

Maia finished calmly as she looked at Yuna with sympathy, Maia’s intention of mentioning this was to deliberately manipulate Yuna into thinking that the Smiths did not trust her. This was her way of getting back at Yuna for what she had done to Victoria.

Yuna was furious after what she heard. She had never thought that Cedric was the support behind Victoria and the reason behind the Smiths leaving Victoria alone. She had been s part of the family for some time now, yet she knew nothing about this!

Yuna stood there clenching and unclenching her fists as she boiled over with rage.

— When Maia noticed her reaction, she knew that she had achieved her purpose. There was only one last thing left for her to do. Maia grabbed Yuna’s arm and beckoned Yuna to follow her.

When they got to the end of the corridor, Maia stopped in her tracks. “Turn around and take a look”

Yuna turned and immediately met Cedric’s eyes. Yuna’s face paled as she was stunned to see him there. She instantly shifted her gaze elsewhere to avoid staring at him.

Maia found it funny as Yuna was reacting like a mouse that had just seen a cat. “Both our companies have worked together a few times, and seeing that our relationship is not too bad, I'll give you a heads up.

“Don't think that you've established yourself into upper—class society just because you married into it. It’s far more complicated than you think, especially when you're not sure about everyone’s histories. Vicky is a very good example of someone you shouldn't touch.”

Maia turned and walked away, leaving Yuna rooted to the spot in fear.

When Maia had left, Cedric knew that it was his turn to take over. He instructed Baz to go threaten her as Cedric turned and left after Maia.

The moment he got into the elevator, he texted Maia that he was waiting for her on the 12th floor. Maia took out her phone and read the message. Instead of ignoring it like she used to, she replied with a simple “Okay.”

Seconds later, Maia received a kiss emoji from Cedric. She was surprised for a while as she wondered if Cedric was really the one sending her messages.

“Maia, what are you looking at?” Hope asked as she noticed her sister standing still. “Nothing, | just got a message. Where’s Vicky?”

“| called her seconds ago, she said that Aiken sent her to the hospital.”

“Let's go

check on her.”

“Sure! By the way, you’re amazing! | can’t believe how scared Yuna looked after she had talked to you. If Vicky saw this, she would be so happy that she could finish three rounds of pizzas!” Hope hugged her sister’s arm affectionately as she commented in admiration.

“After seeing you in action, | couldn’t help but agree with you. If | had approached them just now, | wouldn’t be able to help Vicky at all. She would only end up being bullied by Yuna and her manager!

“I need to make sure to warn her not to do something like this when we see her. Her injury was so bad that she couldn't even stand up. Vicky needs to be more aware of her own safety the next time!” Hope added.

“She was quite reckless today. If Vicky hadn’t chosen to attack Yuna, we would’ve been able to create an issue out of this and make sure her reputation in this industry would be tarnished.

“Unfortunately, this had just turned into two of them getting into a fight. It’s difficult to clearly tell who’s right or wrong. I’m not saying that it was wrong for Vicky to want revenge, but it would’ve been better if she could cripple her enemy once and for all.”

Maia was speaking from experience. When she had lost her child, she had lunged toward Rita, trying to make her pay for her sins with her life. Look how that had turned out.

It was meaningless to be reckless. From that day on, she would always make sure that she had a 80-90% chance of winning before acting on her plans. Hope nodded earnestly as she listened attentively to Maia’s words.

As they got to the hospital, they found out that Victoria had to be hospitalized for at least 2 days, even though her injuries were not too serious. The doctor wanted to make sure that there were no other complications.

When they got to Victoria’s room, they could hear two loud voices bickering inside.

“Vicky, how could you be so ungrateful? | carried you all the way here, paid for your medical fees and carried you back to your room after the doctor inspected your injuries. Do you have any idea how heavy you are?”

“I'm ungrateful? Did | even ask you to carry me here and pay for my medical fees? You were the one who volunteered. | didn’t ask anything of you! Besides, I’m not even 50kg. How am | heavy for a grown man like you?”

Aiken was rendered speechless by Victoria’s smart comeback. “You really are ungrateful! How are you even friends with my Maia?”

“Your Maia? Maia belongs to Cedric. | suggest that you stop daydreaming!” “You're so unreasonable!” Aiken yelled in frustration.

“How am | unreasonable? I’ve had enough of your nagging | don’t need an outsider telling me what | should do about the relationship with my family! You think you're being helpful, but you're not!Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“You know nothing about my family! You're just like everyone else who thinks that I’m just an ungrateful kid! If | was any weaker than | am now, | would’ve been a pawn in an arranged marriage for the Smith family to continue their legacy!”
