After I dropped off Cass I needed to take a break, cool down. I go to the track and run several laps to try to burn off the feeling that I have but I can’t. After six laps I decided it would be best to resort to a cold shower. I can’t wear myself out before the game tomorrow.

So I head back to my room and throw my things in my room. I am ready to turn around and head straight to the bathroom, but this thing on my bed catches my eye. I turn and look again. It is a naked woman. Ok, that is new.

“I think you should put your clothes on.”

“You know you want me.” She slowly gets up from the bed and I will be honest here I am trying to stay strong. This is a lot for a guy to handle. Especially one already turned on.

“No. You need to get dressed.”

She moves so that her body is pressed up against mine. I am frozen. What should I do? She is pushing herself at me. “Kiss me and I’ll get dressed.” She even goes as far as to pull off my shirt. I have little resistance. Now her bare chest is pressed against mine. She wraps her arms around me. Standing on her tiptoes she presses her lips to mine.

My body reacts without me telling it what to do. Because I don’t know what I am doing. I kiss her back and wrap my arms around her. Just then my door bursts open.

“Trey, I was thinking about the dance.”

I shoot away from the girl in my arms. Kelly. She must have known this was going to happen. Why else would she do this? I look at Cass, I can see that she has been crying and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop either. “Never mind.” She shuts the door.

Kelly grabs my arm as I turn to run after her. “Let her go. You don’t need her, you have me.”

“No, It’s her I need.” I pull out of her grasp. “You better be out of here when I get back.” Running down my stairs and out the front door I see her fumbling with her keys to get in her truck. “Cass, please. It’s not what you think.” I try to reach for her but she pulls back.

“I am pretty sure that I can’t misread that. She was naked wrapped around your body and yours around hers.”

“She ambushed me. I was still turned on from what we did earlier. I just got home and she was naked on my bed. She threw herself at me.”

“Well, that’s fine. We aren’t a thing. It might be best if you just go back to her.”

“Cass no. Just give me a chance here.” I reach for her again, but she pulls away again.

“I am done being played by men. Go back to Kelly and leave me alone.” She seems to have found her key because she unlocks her truck and jumps in.

“Cass.” I scream after her. She doesn’t stop, she peels out of my driveway. I scream her name until the break lights disappear.

When I finally manage to pull myself back into the house my mom is standing by the door. “Are you alright?”

I shake my head. “No, not in the least. Please tell me you didn’t know that Kelly was in my room.”

“What?” She screams it. How the fuck did that girl get in here? My mom looks pissed as hell. I don’t usually see that side of her, but I never like it when I do.

“If she is still here I am going to kill her.”

I storm up the stairs with my mom following close behind. Thankfully when I get to my room, it is empty. The window is open though. I look out and sure enough there is a ladder leading to my window. “I sure the hell didn’t put this here.”

My mom shakes her head. “That girl has no shame. What did she do? Is Cass going to be alright?”

“I don’t know mom. I don’t know if she will even speak to me again. Kelly was in here naked. It looked like…” I can’t even finish the thought.

She pats my shoulder. “It’s ok. I know what it looked like.”

“Cass thinks I am some manipulator. I can’t…” For the first time in years, I cry. Cass is gone. It sounded like she was even going to go to the dance with me. We were so close.

“She will come around. She’s a nice girl. Just give her time.”

“She’s a nice girl that has been pushed too far. How are we going to come back from this?”

My mom just hugs me. “If it was meant to be then it will work out.”
