What Separates Me and You
Chapter 16 Babe, You’ve Gone Viral
He waved off Josephine’s hand and stood on his feet. “No need.”
After speaking, he walked toward the bathroom, and soon came the sound of water.
Josephine breathed a sigh of relief and touched her lower abdomen. Suddenly, she felt a wave of panic. NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
She couldn’t keep using this excuse for ten months straight.
This panic pulled her back from her desire for his gentleness, which was nothing significant.
He didn’t love her, just like how flowers wouldn’t bloom in the mud.
Her love was just child’s play to him.
After nearly 20 minutes, Lewis came out of the bathroom, and his face seemed to have gone back to its normal expression.
He looked at his phone and said to her, “It’s ten o’clock. You should go to bed.”
Josephine lifted her head, but before she could speak, the man had already bent. down and carried her in the bridal pose.
With her arms wrapped around his neck, she stared at the curve of his chin. Pursing her lips, she silently lowered her gaze.
At night, Josephine struggled to fall asleep. Her eyes were open until midnight. At some point, she finally drifted off to sleep.
In the morning, she was awakened by the ringing of her phone.
She groggily reached out and answered the call. On the other end came Avery’s voice. “Babe, check Whatsapp.” She hung up after that.
Josephine unlocked her phone and opened Whatsapp. Avery had sent her a video.
It was a painting that Avery had done, and the subject of her art was Josephine.
In the painting, she was sitting by the window, looking out at the sky with sunlight. shining into her clear and bright eyes. Despite that, the portrait had a touch of melancholy not belonging to a young girl.
Under that video, there was another one.
It showed a white cat sitting on the windowsill in the same position as Josephine,
looking outside. In the latter part of the video, the cat turned into a portrait of her.
It was as if the cat had suddenly transformed, and the special effects made it seem as if there were no differences between the woman and the cat, both in appearance and expression.
She clicked on several voice messages that Avery had sent her.
“Babe, do you know that you’ve gone viral? This video has over two million likes now!
she exclaimed via text.
Josephine quickly replied by typing, “Avery, what’s going on?”
Avery called her shortly after and explained, “Don’t you remember that I often post videos of my paintings online? Well, some blogger used this painting of you, and now you’re famous. Many netizens have found my account and are asking if you’re a real person. To prove it to them, I posted your photo, but they still don’t believe it and think it’s photoshopped. Do you have time now? I’m coming to see you, and we’ll shoot a video!”
Josephine didn’t know how to respond.
“Is Lewis at home now? If he is, I won’t come. If he’s not, please knock on the screen. twice and I’ll come right over.”
Josephine looked around the room, but there was no sign of him. She quickly got out of bed and searched the living room. When she finally confirmed that he was not at home, she knocked twice on the screen.
After receiving the reply, Avery laughed and said, “Okay, give me 20 minutes!”
In less than 20 minutes after Avery hung up, Josephine heard the sound of a motorcycle outside.
She quickly ran out of the villa and saw Avery’s motorcycle speeding toward her before stopping steadily at the door.
Avery took off her helmet and shook her short hair. The bandage on her forehead did not affect her handsome appearance at all.
*Josephine!” Avery ran over and took her hand before walking into the house.
Avery took out her phone and showed her some videos. “Look, these are all the portraits I painted of you, and some people even want to buy them. You’re about to become an influencer.”
Josephine looked at her in confusion and gestured, “Is something different going to happen if I become an influencer?”
“Of course. You can make money now!”
