Chapter 312
Chapter 312
Leah shrugged, “Well, that’s none of my business then. Whatever you guys decide to do in the future, that’s on you.”
Elio clenched his fist. He didn’t want to do this, but he had no other choice.
“When the time comes, you can tell Clara that as long as she doesn’t go back to Emmett, I can still help her get her two kids back. After all, by then, Emmett and I will have our own kid! Having them around will just get in my way!”
With that, Leah pushed the car door open and got out.
Elio looked at the room key in his hand and then at the unconscious woman in the back seat. He clenched his fist, “Clara, what am I supposed to do with you? If I
had known it would come to this, I never would have…”
But it was too late now. He knew Leah wouldn’t let Clara off easily. She would get what she wanted.
Suddenly!
Clara’s phone, which was in her bag, rang again. Emmett’s name was on the display.
Elio was expressionless. He hesitated for a moment, then pressed the power button to turn off her phone.
Things had already come this far; he had no other choice.
Elio looked at her, gently stroking Clara’s cheek, “I hope you won’t hate me when you wake up. This is the best solution I could come up with. I will make it up to you for the rest of my life.”
He couldn’t find her. He still couldn’t find her!
Emmett had almost turned the entire city upside down, but he still couldn’t find Clara. How could she just disappear in such a short amount of time?
“Did she say anything else before she left?” Emmett called Ricardo over and asked sternly.
“Mrs. Melendez said she was going to see a friend who seemed to be sick… she didn’t say anything else.” Ricardo was a bit uneasy. He bit his lip and then continued, “She also mentioned… that because the friend was male… she didn’t tell you.”
“A man?”
“Yeah, Mrs. Melendez was probably afraid you would misunderstand.”
Emmett furrowed his brows. Could it be Taylor? Or Elio?
Aside from them, there were no other men that Clara would risk deceiving him to meet.
“Go to the Atwood family; have them hand over Taylor immediately!”
“Understood, Mr. Melendez!”
After Ricardo left, Emmett dialed Elio’s number. It rang a few times before Elio picked up.
“Mr. Melendez, what a surprise! What can I do for you?”
Emmett was not in the mood for small talk; he asked directly, “Is Clara with you?”
“Clara? How could she be? I’ve been trying to invite her out, but it’s been tough; she’s always with you. I even asked her to have dinner once, but she declined, afraid it would upset you.”
Emmett shut his mouth. Elio didn’t sound like he was lying.
Elio casually asked, “What’s up? She’s not answering your calls? Did you guys have a fight?”
Emmett furrowed his brows, drumming his fingers on the desk, “If she contacts you, let me know immediately!”
He had no time for idle chit-chat with Elio.
“Sure, if she calls me, I’ll tell her to contact you.”
Emmett hung up immediately, got up, and was about to leave when he felt something was off.
Elio seemed a bit tense earlier. He was trying to cover it up, but Emmett could tell. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
He took out his phone and dialed Matt’s number, “Keep a close eye on Ello. If anything unusual happens, let me know immediately!”
