Chapter 196 Looking for a Needle in a Haystack

Jamie looked to be in her 40s, and Liora was uncertain of her age. Thus, it seemed right to address

Jamie as Madam

Jamie was stunned. She then pointed at herself and asked, “Were you talking to me?”

Liora tilted her head. “You’re alone here with Mommy. Of course, I won’t call Mommy a madam.”

Jamie’s thinking was slow. After she regained her wits, she smiled. “Well, you did well. I like it.”

After that, she squatted before the three children and said energetically, “Call me that again. I would like to hear it.”

Liora said sweetly, “Madam.”

Jamie nodded excitedly. “Hmm.”

Tyler also followed suit. “Madam, hello”

Jamie nodded again. “Hmm!”

Axel was shy. As such, he stood at the side and did not dare to speak up

Caroline did not force him, either. After all, there was something amiss with his mentality now. She could not force things.

She then returned to the kitchen to cook while the children led Jamie to play with toys with them.

Evan sat on a sofa in a suburban villa, his eyes scarlet. He glared fiercely at the line of bodyguards before him. The floor was littered with the shattered remains of things he had broken.

The bodyguards held their breath and lowered their heads, awaiting his reprimand.

“She was only gone for 15 minutes, yet you still can’t locate her. Am I paying you for nothing?” Evan’s tone was icy as he questioned them.

The bodyguards remained silent, their heads bowed even lower. They were as bewildered as he was. They couldn’t understand how she could vanish in such a brief span.

Initially, they could trace her through the surveillance footage. But after she left, she seemed to disappear into thin air.

Angelbay was so large. It would be looking for a needle in a haystack now.

“I’ll give you another 24 hours. Get lost if you still can’t find her!” With that order, all the bodyguards turned and rushed out.

Julian sighed and stepped forward. ‘Mr. Jordan, I’ll go look for her, too.”

Evan glared at him coldly. “Don’t let them expose anything.”

“Okay!”

After Julian departed, Evan’s phone began to ring. The caller was Draco. Evan answered the call

with a noticeably sour tone. “What’s the matter?”

Draco was taken aback, and then his voice grew stronger. “What’s with the attitude?” This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Evan’s expression tightened as he struggled to control his deep frustration. “Just tell me

“Gale Dickey from Flortine is currently in Angelbay. Meet him and secure his cooperation, Draco

instructed.

“You seem to value this cooperation, so why don’t you meet him yourself?” Evan pushed back

against Draco.

This response ignited Draco’s anger. ‘So, now that woman is back, you’re no longer dedicated to

your work? Can’t you see what’s important? Do you realize how many companies in Angelbay are interested in Gale’s mining industry prospects?”

A beep interrupted the conversation.

Draco was stunned, glancing at his phone to find that Evan had hung up on him.

“Bastard! How ungrateful!” Draco’s face was flushed as he cursed.

The housekeeper hurriedly comforted him. “Master Draco, you don’t have to argue with Young

Master Jordan because of that woman.

“You are a family, but that woman is an outsider. If you quarrel with Young Master Jordan because of her, your family’s peace will be ruined. It’s unworthy!”

“You’re right.” Draco narrowed his eyes. “Go and find out where she’s living now.”

The housekeeper nodded. “Okay, I’ll ask someone to do that now.”

After lunch at noon in Bayview, Jamie became sleepy.

Caroline brought Jamie back to the bedroom to rest. After Jamie dozed off, Caroline went

downstairs to chat and draw with the children.
