Chapter 821 Can't Save Himself
Chapter 821 Can't Save Himself
"Bronte, did you enjoy that punch you just threw?" Kingsley's voice was sub-zero, sending shivers down one's spine.
"I…" Bronte's lips trembled, his voice barely audible.
After learning about Kingsley's connection to the Seavale Stewart Family, he didn't dare to upset Kingsley anymore.
"Boss Nicholson asked you a question!" Baron barked menacingly. "Weren't you acting all tough when you injured my brother? Don't act cowardly now!"
"He tried to make a sneaky move against my grandfather!" Bronte stared with wide eyes at Baron. "He tried to harm my grandfather with an underhanded attack! Don't blame me for dealing with him!"
Baron clenched his fist tightly and retorted, "Bullsh*t! The way I see it, you intended to kill him! If you wanted to stop him, you could've just knocked him down. There was no need to nearly beat him to death! You're just like your grandfather, a murderer who wants to kill!"
Bronte's face twitched with anger upon Baron's insults. "D*mn it! So what if I intended to kill?! Do you think I wouldn't have wanted to finish him off with one punch if I had better skills?!"
"You injured my brother, and you still think you're in the right?!" Baron picked up a handgun from the ground and aimed it at Bronte, his tone icy. "You want to bet if I'll f*cking shoot you in the head now and seek revenge for my brother?!"
Bronte, though feeling his scalp tingle in fear as he faced the cold barrel of the gun, still tried to act tough. "Try shooting me if you dare! If you kill me, the Stewart Family won't let you get away with it!"
Baron's hand holding the gun trembled unconsciously in response.
Indeed, the Stewart Family now feared Kingsley but wasn't as afraid of his Black Fist Gang. If he were to kill Bronte, it could indeed lead to trouble. Besides, the idea of pulling the trigger and taking a life made him somewhat apprehensive.
At that, an idea hit Baron, and he respectfully handed the gun back to Kingsley. "Boss Nicholson, it's your call. You handle that guy."
Kingsley cast a sardonic glance at him but remained silent. He then turned his gaze to Bronte and said coldly, "Are you planning to break your own hands, or should I do it for you?"
"I…" Bronte dared to challenge Baron, but he didn't dare to confront Kingsley anymore. He swallowed hard and looked toward his own grandfather, desperation in his eyes.
"Looking at him won't save you either," Kingsley said. "He can't even save himself now, let alone save you."
Bronte became even more panicked at that. "Grandfather…" He turned to Jake. "Grandfather, what do we do now? I don't want to lose both my hands; that would render my martial arts skills useless!"
Sigh… Jake sighed. "Mr. Nicholson, if you need to vent your anger, direct it all at me. My grandson is still young, and if you want to settle the score, I'll take responsibility for everything."
At this point, Adrian was clearly not willing to intervene any further. Kingsley still had a gun in hand, and even with his skills, he was left with no option but to act as the target. To protect his grandson, Jake was prepared to face the worst outcome.
"It's true. I was the one who killed that Sheffield jeweler back then," Jake said with a grim expression. "Today, I can stand here and let you do as you wish, considering it retribution for what I did. I only beg you to spare my grandson."
Kingsley chuckled lightly. "I like to deal with things as they are, and those responsible should bear the consequences. Besides, your life alone is not enough to settle the debts with the Sheffield Family and Mr. Martin."
"Then, what does it take for you to spare my grandson?!" Jake's eyes turned red. "Name your terms, and I'll comply without hesitation!"
While Bronte's talent might not match that of Zephyr, he was still one of the Stewart Family's most powerful individuals of his generation. NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
Jake couldn't bear to see his carefully nurtured grandson become disabled without his hands. He was now willing to do anything to save Bronte. However, upon hearing Jake's words, the members of the Black Fist Gang couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding.
