Chapter 2474 Distribution Woes
Chapter 2474 Distribution Woes
"What do you have in mind, Emperor Rael?" Guildmaster Bradt raised an eyebrow. "I believe that there is only an hour until the beast tide reaches the Kandrian Empire. It may not be prudent to focus on the rest of the world." Emperor Rael smiled. "If the rest of the world falls, Kandria falls. The beast tide comes, yes. But I have faith in the might of the Kandrian Empire. My role in leading our preparations and response to the beast tide is already complete. Our Martial Artists are on standby and there is no longer anything that I am able to contribute to. Thus, I must prepare for what needs to be done when we overcome our short-term threats and are faced with more medium-term threats."
His eyes narrowed. "One of those threats is the disruption of supply chains for strategic Martial resources. We must reconnect the web of human civilization. The web that has been broken by the Beast Incursion."
Guildmaster Bradt found his vision to be powerful.
Yet, he found it difficult to be moved.
The Beast Incursion was truly among the very last straws that the elder guildmaster was able to take. It had single-handedly destroyed a lifetime of effort.
He had spent an unfathomable amount of effort, time, blood, sweat, and tears building the most powerful and robust distribution, delivery, and transportation network in all of East Panama.
In less than a day, it had been utterly annihilated.
He had still yet to recover from the sheer shock of what had happened and what he had lost that even the powerful vision of the Emperor of Harmony was unable to move him. "Bradt, what has been lost can be rebuilt stronger than ever."
The guildmaster Bradt's eyes widened at the informal and personal tone that Emperor of Harmony used with him.
He read his mind effortlessly, understanding exactly what was plaguing the man.
"If you move yourself one last time, you will be able to build an empire unlike anything you ever had before," Emperor Rael calmly declared. "Right now all, of human civilization desperately needs supply chains because all of human civilization was built on the principle of globalization to some degree, which means that all of human civilization desperately yearns for a channel through which they can regain some semblance of trade and commerce to fulfill basic requirements of obtain essential goods and services."
A smile appeared on Emperor Rael's face. "Whoever swoops in and fills that gap will become an emperor in their own right. A powerhouse with immense bargaining capital." NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
Guildmaster Bradt stirred at the man's words as he felt his hope and ambition rekindling before he directed a knowing glance at the Emperor of Harmony.
In that moment, he truly felt like the Kandrian Empire breaking past the Great Limit to become a hegemon of the Human Domain truly wouldn't be such a bad thing after all. "…What exactly do you have in mind?" the guildmaster asked with more drive in his voice.
A smile appeared on Emperor Rael's face as he accomplished the task that he had set out on.
He had decided to personally intervene in the communications after his government reported that the guildmaster was not receptive to their outreach in order to jolt the man back into action.
"My plan is simple," Emperor Rael began with a calm tone. "We have the resources and a well-developed seafare and maritime industry and establishment. We are also in the process of building you one based on our existing partnership contract. Now I wish to expand this into a joint venture to form the first Bradt-Kandria Seafaring Distribution Network that will leverage our foundation and resources and your foundation in the distribution sector to create a powerful distribution network that will be able to restore the web of human civilization partially."
Guildmaster Bradt's eyes lit up. "Bradt-Kandria Seafaring Distribution Network…"
"You alone do not have the resources to account for all human civilization's needs," Emperor Rael continued with a calm tone. "I do not have a foundation in this sector. Thus we can compensate for each other's shortcomings and become the oligarchs of the yet-to-expand seafaring industry."
His smile widened. "With our capabilities, we can easily succeed."
Guildmaster Bradt stirred as he grew more and more excited by the prospects of teaming up with the Kandrian Empire to become a powerhouse in distribution, delivery, and transportation in the oceans.
The idea that Emperor Rael proposed was cleverly built upon their previous agreement that had already sought to turn the Bradt Distribution Service into a seafaring organization. Thus, it didn't require any additional agreements or planning underpinning it.
With this, they could become unrivaled in the Great Nam Ocean!
"…I accept your deal." Guildmaster Bradt's tone grew stronger and firmer.
"Good." Emperor Rael smiled. "We can let our legal staff hash out the minutiae. I think we are both practical men. I don't think we will find ourselves at uncompromisable conflicts. A fair split of profits and liabilities considering our contributions and risk-taking should be easy to come to, especially in these grave times. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the fate of human civilization depends on whether we succeed or not."
"I'm inclined to agree with your assessment." Guildmaster Bradt nodded. "Nearly forty percent of our all of my distribution is comprised of what we categorize as essential goods and services. Food, energy, resources for essential sectors such as communications, carriage technology, Martial resources, and so on and so forth. It means that most nations are very far from self-dependent. We need to fill in the gap somehow, I already have several templates in mind as to how we can go over this in the most efficient manner possible…"
Emperor Rael listened with a smile as the guildmaster validated his decision to involve him in this matter with many insights that even Emperor Rael failed to make by himself.
Now, as long as the Kandrian Empire could overcome the battle without facing destruction, they would be able to proceed with these arrangements as the beginning of the comeback of human civilization.
