The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 36: Torn to pieces

CHAPTER 36.

Fanuel’s Pov.

I stared at the tie frustratingly and sighed in frustration. I couldn’t knot it!

Jay and Edward stared at me in shock as I frustratingly draped the tie on my neck. I thought I could knot it myself the way others do it effectively. Christine was right!!

I don’t know anything and I wondered why that bothered me. I wondered why I took her brother’s words to heart that day, I mean to hell with doing things on my own but I find it a bit weird that I’ve never done things on my own since I was born.

I was the sugar of the family and pampered with bread and butter.

I don’t even know how to wear my slippers on my own, every damn thing in my life was done gracefully by our maids and men, and I’m being reminded by that.

“What’s this Fanuel?”Edwards blurted out.

“My humble self” I gestured myself towards him and he shook his head unbelievably.

“You purposely told your men to stay away from you, you refused to let anyone knot your tie and time is already far spent! Don’t you know that everyone is waiting in the church.”

“Chill Edward, I just want to tie this thing myself ”

“Why? Is it because you’re too excited to get married or what? You don’t even know how wear your necklace talkless of opting to tying a whole tie!! Common Fanuel, stop this childish scene and let’s going, the bride isn’t supposed to be waiting for the groom.”

He said and I sigh in frustration, what he said hit my chest like a bomb and it hurts so much. I can’t even wear my necklace!! And that’s fucking true!

My men or maids do that for me, if I leave the house in a hurry, Edward gets to do that for me…what an embarrassment!!

I stretch my tie towards Jay who has been muted all this while. He wouldn’t know how to do much too so I better taunt him a little to feel better.

We are both birds of the same feather after all.

He collected the tie and stood in front me hanging the tie on my neck, my brother was stylishly beautiful. He was dressing as if he was the actual groom if not for the milky color which didn’t accentuate the color I wore.

Without wasting much time he flips the tie to the left and to the right, he looked very serious and I wonder how he knew how to knot a tie, we weren’t the suit type so how did he even know this.

“I’m done.” He said before I could see if he actually knew what he was doing. He stepped back and had a good look at me before nodding in satisfaction. I turned to look at the mirror and it was knotted beautifully. I grit my teeth in frustration and worry clouds my face.

“I am not lazy, I am strong and I can do everything.” I declared as if I was asked a question and the two fools bursted out in laughter .

“You’re crazy Fanuel, You’re not lazy.” Edward said, still laughing while Jayden stood up.

“While you’re admiring how hard-working you are in the mirror, can we please go to the venue of the wedding? It’s terribly late.”

I hissed and walked past them to one of my favorite babies. The black Camry.

It was beautifully decorated with blue and silver ribbons from the back of the car to the front of the wind screen. I sigh in relief as there are no media personalities and I walked majestically to the ride.

I’m feeling nothing, I wonder why people rant about weddings being the happiest day of their lives and even shedding a tear about it, especially women!

It’s nothing magical or intriguing but a minimal boring party of two couples who just want to say words to become husband and wife.

The church was really beautiful, and filled up. I specifically told the event planner to invite only family and friends but here I am walking towards a crowded church.

Damn the media!!!

My eyes are burning from camera flashlights and gasps fill the air. I frown really hard when I notice that the so-called bride isn’t here, what the heck are they doing since!! I gritted my teeth.

“It’s a culture for the groom to arrive before the bride, now that you’re here she will definitely come.” Jayden told me as If he was actually answering my question.

******

I’m seething!! I’m burning and I will definitely fly out from the entrance if someone doesn’t hold me.

It’s been two hours since I arrived and no sign of Christine.

Did she escape and back off from the agreement?

Oh no! She wouldn’t dare!!

Everyone is beginning to whisper words against themselves and the silent serene place is now filled with loud whisperings.

“Get me my phone.” I told Edward.

“Not here please, everyone is watching.”

“Get me my phone dammit!!”

“Maybe they are stuck in the traffic or something, just hold on a little longer.”

“I will punch you hard Edward, how is that my fucking business!!”

He sighed in frustration and retrieved my phone from his pockets. I wonder why I’m not even allowed to hold the device.

I glanced at everyone in the church and I regretted doing that!! Damn!! They were all fucking staring at me as if I’m a villian who brought them out to witness a comedy show.

I’m going to burst!! The tornado in me is turning and If I make a mistake to leave that entrance, I will kill Christine.

Without wasting a flick of time, I dialed Christine’s number.

“The number you’re trying to reach is currently unavailable, drop a message or try again later.”

I swallowed hard and hit the wall earning loud gasps from people.

Jayden stood up and rushed towards me.

“I will kill her!” I told him in a voice that I couldn’t recognise.

“Don’t cause a scene Fanuel, I’ve been trying to reach out also but it’s not reachable.. something must have gone wrong.”

“Don’t tell me that crap!” I almost yelled at his face.

“That little witch has escaped so she won’t get married to me, I will find her and kill her with my bare hands so enough with your defense!!”

Jayden held my hands and sighed in frustration.

“Can you atleast be a little bit calm, they are already taking pictures of you going rampage near the altar!!”

“Get the fuck out my sight Jay!”

“Have some respect dude and stop cursing, you’re in the church!” Edward said and I glared.

I broke free angrily from Jay’s grip and I was about to cause a scene when my phone’s ringtone jolted me deep rooted to the ground.

I picked it without looking at the caller and waited for the next thing.

Her shaky and tearful voice snapped me out from my angry state and I became alert at once.

“Christine?”

“Fanuel….” She sniffed and I could only imagine what happened to her.

If she’s in danger or if anyone kidnapped her, that thought alone gave me chills and for the very first time in my life, I became scared.

“Where are you, are you okay?” I asked worriedly and Edward and Jay had their ears and eyes open like that of a rabbit’s.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m fine, I’m still at home Fanuel…”

“Then why are you not here yet?”

Damn! I’m surprisingly calm. I’m not screaming at the top of my lungs swearing to kill her for wasting so much time.

“My…my dress, My beautiful wedding dress was torn to pieces.”
