CHapter 252
CHapter 252
Nolan’s voice had a hint of urgency. “Boss, Yasbel’s not the type to act recklessly, and sticking close to your brother Stirling should’ve kept him out of trouble. But you know how it is with Glen Village. If something really went wrong…”
Nolan and Yasbel were twins, sharing a bond that was rare and deep, like two stars orbiting each other in
the sky.
Glen Village, nestled close to the border, was a place where the unexpected could lurk in the shadows.
“When did she last check in? I’m on my way.”
“Forty–eight hours ago. There was some trouble at the site just before we lost contact. You’ll see when you get here!”
Members of the Polaris Star were supposed to report their locations every twenty–four hours. With Yasbel missing for so long, especially with Stirling, the situation was indeed serious.
Noella glanced at her phone. With only a few classes scheduled these days, she decided she would skip class even if the paperwork wasn’t completed yet!
After hanging up, Noella made a beeline for the campus gates.
Just as she reached the tree–lined path, someone blocked her way!
Before Noella could get a good look at the person, a car horn blared down the path, and a sedan came hurtling towards her, out of control!
The person blocking her path saw his chance to play the hero. Despite Noella remaining as cold and aloof as ever, he believed that increasing their entanglement would surely melt – icy gaze.
“Watch out!”
Lorne, barely managing to stand from his wheelchair, lunged forward only to catch a kick to the chest!
Noella’s foot connected with the car’s hood, and upon seeing Lorne’s foolhardy charge, she frowned slightly.
What was this idiot thinking? Did he really believe that he, a man barely able to walk, could save her?
Considering he was Lucian’s grandson and technically her patient, it wouldn’t do for him to get hurt on her
watch.
With a swift kick, Noella sent Lorne flying away from the car’s path, tumbling across the ground and ending up unconscious, blood trickling from his mouth.
The out–of–control sedan crashed into a tree, its front crumpled and smoking. The driver’s airbag deployed, and the driver lay unconscious, clearly injured.
Noella looked at the gathering crowd. “Could someone call the ambulance?”
“Yeah, sure! Don’t you wanna go to the hospital with the ambulance to get checked out?”
The sudden chaos had left everyone stunned.
They had expected the beautiful girl to be hit, but instead, her agile leap to safety was nothing short of heroic.

This girl was seriously cool!
Noella shook her head. “I’m fine. Just make sure the injured get to the hospital.” All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
Beckett, sweating bullets, rushed over and checked Noella from head to toe.
“Noella, are you alright?”
He had just entered the campus and met Darcy when he witnessed the terrifying scene. The thought of Noella getting hurt was unbearable to Beckett.
“I’m fine.”
“No, no, we should still get you checked out at the hospital. I won’t be at ease until Ulrich gives you a thorough examination.”
Only after a meticulous inspection by Beckett, confirming she was unharmed, did he relax a bit.
“There’s really no need, Beckett. I’m truly fine.”
Beckett’s gaze was sharp as he turned to the president of the council. “I believe we’re owed an explanation! Why would such an incident happen here? If Imperial University can’t even ensure the
safety of its students, I might have to reconsider whether my sister should continue her studies here!”
Beckett’s Rising Glory Group had donated a building and countless lab equipment to Imperial University just before Noella enrolled. The educational investment was also ongoing
Noella’s presence here was more than just a student’s education, it was tied to Imperial University’s reputation in Imperial City!
If the Schnabel family’s precious gem got hurt on campus, it wouldn’t just be trouble for Noella but for Imperial University as well.
Noella faced the president, her expression calm as if she wasn’t the one who had nearly been hit by a car.
“It was indeed dangerous. I remember vehicles aren’t allowed on this path. I’m fine, but it could’ve been
much worse for other students.”
To Noella, this was nothing out of the ordinary, but what about regular students?
Facing a car speeding at 60 km/h, a normal student would’ve been injured, if not worse.
The president was sweating bullets. “Of course, we will investigate thoroughly and ensure Noella gets a proper explanation!”
In truth, even the president was at a loss as to how such an incident could occur. How did an out– of–control vehicle end up on a pedestrian path, nearly causing a disaster?
Only when the ambulance took away the driver and Lorne did Beckett notice Lorne’s presence.
“Isn’t that the Richardson family’s eldest grandson? What’s he doing here?”
The president was trembling with fear, sensing that his career might be at its end.
“Lome is a postgraduate student here. He just started, actually
Beckett frowned. “Enrolled as a postgraduate at his age? Wasn’t he just in the ICU a few days ago? How’s he out and about already?”
Noella nodded in agreement. “He must’ve sneaked out. I even saw him in the ICU with Elara a few days

ago.”
The tree–lined campus was bustling with onlookers, and neither the president nor Beckett had seen Noella’s swift kick that sent Lorne flying. They assumed Lorne was just unlucky, getting hit by a car out of the blue.
Upon hearing that Lorne was in bad shape, having bolted from the ICU and then getting into an accident, the president didn’t hesitate to jump into the ambulance himself!
If this blew up, the school would have his head!
The president felt like he needed saving too at this point!
Beckett was still worried. “Noella, why don’t you get checked out too? I’ll call Ulrich right away!”
Noella shook her head. “I’ll just go for a check–up on my own, Beckett. I need to take a couple of days off Could you cover for me and request some leave?”
“Where are you heading?” Beckett asked instinctively, his gaze dropping to Noella’s innocent and radiant face. Her wide, doe–like eyes melted his heart instantly.
His little sister must have been scared stiff!
