Chapter 5 – Unexpected
Stheno’s POV
“Miss, what are you doing here?” the girl asked.
I could not speak immediately and I just stared at her.
“Miss?” she said again.
“Ahh… S-sorry I was looking for a girl. I think she’s in her eighteenth year old?” I said.
She raised an eyebrow, seemingly wondering.
“I’m sorry, it’s been 18 years since she disappeared.” I said while looking down.
“Is that so? O-oh sorry to hear that, do you need any help?” she asked smiling.
I hesitated before agreeing.
“It’s embarrassing, but thank you… I just really need to find her, because her parents want to see her again.” I said as I got into her car. “It’s been 18 years since she disappeared, and I feel sorry for her parents.” sad I said.
“I’ll help you, for sure she’s in good hands maybe?” she said smiling.
“I just hope, I hope before the start of the school year I can find her.” sad I said.
“Don’t worry, we can find her soon.”
We were in the middle of traveling when someone suddenly called her on her phone.
“Yes, brother?… okay okay… I’m going home I’ll take my clothes. Hmm? Yes yes, daddy said my apartment needs to be pretty close to my university.” It looks like her older brother is worried, so that’s all her answers.
I just ignored what they were talking about and just stared out the window of her car.
“I’m sorry, my brother is so overprotective so we talked for a while. By the way? What’s your name?” she asked as she focused her attention on driving.
I first thought of a name to say before answering.
“Shen.” my answer.
“Oh nice name, I’m Ash.” she said with a smile in the mirror.
I just smiled and we stopped at a big, fancy house.
“Ash!” a tall man calls her.
“Brother! Why did you take out all my belongings? Jeez… you interfered again.” she said angrily.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
“I’m sorry, but don’t worry, it has everything you need, including your gadgets.” her older brother said smiling.
“Next time big bro don’t interfere with my things, hmmph.” she said to her brother then looked away.
Her brother seems to have noticed me, so he suddenly asked Ash.
“Who is that?” he asked Ash.
“Oh that’s Shen, I saw her on the road… She was looking for a girl that lost 18 years ago. She’s also Uhm… My new friend.” Ash said then smiled at me.
“Sorry for the inconvenience. but I just really need to find my cousin. “I said then sighed.
“That’s okay.” said her older brother.
“Brother, I will help her find her cousin first before I return to my apartment. I’ll just text you later the address of my apartment.” said Ash and then took her belongings.
She said goodbye to her older brother and we started looking for my cousin.
Third Person’s POV
Little did she know, that she was with what she was looking for. Even though her wrist didn’t glow she did not know that this was the person she was looking for. Why is it that her wrist is no longer shining even though she is with the princess? Maybe it’s because the princess is holding it back or because it’s just a trigger so it glows.
The sun was setting but she still did not know that this was what she was looking for. Ash took her where everyone should meet before sunset. Little did everyone know that the one who brought Stheno was the princess, Trison’s wrist lit up but he ignored it until the princess left.
“Did you find her?” Trison asked.
Everyone shakes their heads which means they did not find the princess as well. So they decide to return to their world with the message that they failed to find the missing princess.
Ash, on the other hand, wore the necklace she forgot to wear before leaving their house earlier.
The necklace will be the key for her real parents to find her.
Ashleigh’s POV
I feel sorry for Shen, I could not help her find her cousin, I can see in her eyes how much she wants to see her cousin and to bring her back to her parents. Who would not feel sorry for her 18 years of separation from her parents?
Earlier before I saw Shen, I found a university that I think can focus on my ability.
Flashback
I was in a fancy university, at first I was wondering if it was really this or if I was still looking when suddenly a teacher told me to talk to their school director to find out what courses there is something here that suits me.
When I entered, a smiling old woman came up to me.
‘Ahh, it looks like this is their school director.’
“Welcome to Andradia University.” she said and smiled.
I looked around her office and then my eyes returned to her.
“What course do you want, dear?” She calmly asked.
“I-I’m not still sure, m-ma’am.” I said then looked down.
“Oh dear, tell me where do you think you’re good at?” she asked and her lips started to draw a smile.
“I-I think in… Science? I’m not quite sure.” I answered. “I’m still thinking about what course would I choose to.” I added.
“Well, the entrance exam is still not starting yet. You still have plenty of time to decide.” she said and stood up to place her hand on my shoulders. “I was once like you. I couldn’t decide what course I should take before… But now here I am.” She stood up in front of me and then stared at me.
I sighed and smiled at her. She has a point though, the entrance exam is not starting yet. Maybe I should clear up my mind and think some more.
“Thanks, ma’am… I’ll be back when the entrance exam starts.” I said then bid my goodbye.
End of Flashback
I was about to enter my apartment, it took me 6:00 pm to help Shen find her cousin, but she was not even found. When I went up to my room I arranged my clothes.
The apartment I bought was not that big, it was really just for one person, it already has a bed and cabinet, it also has cooking utensils in the kitchen because I sent Dad my address when I left home.
I was in the middle of arranging when I noticed a light in my bathroom. I picked up my phone and stood up suddenly, I immediately went to the bathroom. When I entered I did not see anything, but when I looked in the mirror it was there, I could not see my reflection in the mirror all I could see was a place, it was a bit blurry but I knew it was weird. I tried to stick my fingers in the mirror but it sucked me in.
“AHHHHH!” I shout as it sucks me and falls into a watery place.
