Chapter 1412
Claude continued gloating. "You don't know the unwritten rules in this hospital since you just started out, right? Just ask my brother-in-law-he earns millions just by bringing in every medical machinery here. "And what can you earn as a doctor in comparison? Join me, and once I recommend you to him, you'll soon be driving a BMW once you get in on the action."
However, that only struck Winter with realization, and she lowered her head as she muttered to herself, "So that's why the numbers and prices of the latest batch of machines purchased by the inpatient department just didn't fit!"
If Jet Quaid were there and heard his brother-in-law bringing to light everything he did, he would slap Claude twice in fury!Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Talk about family misfortune!
"Well, thank you for providing that information."
Claude was once again surprised that Winter was not caving, even pointing at him and snapping, "Now I'm warning you twice-get off that patient, or I'm calling security!"
"Huh?!"
Claude got impatient to see such an impudent whelp, and he frowned as he roared, "You brat! Don't you know who I am?! Everyone out there would tell you how important I am! Who do you think you are, thinking you're a big deal just because I was playing nice?! No, I refuse to get off the geezer, so live with it!"
Then, whipping out his phone dramatically, he held it close to his lips as he bellowed, "Jet! Are you done with my dad's checkup yet? There's a situation here you need to look at!"
Hanging up, he wheeled on Winter and sneered. "You thought I was joking, didn't you?! I already played nice, so just wait-once my brother-in-law gets here, you're losing your job even after going through so much to get it!"
"Oh... And what do I have to do for you to forgive me?" Winter was looking at Claude sideways, her reaction calm and showing none of the panic or restlessness he expected.
"You will take off all your clothes in
public, prostrate yourself, and beg Claude laughed darkly, seemingly
already thinking of it bo
At the same time, he lifted his foot off Aaron, who stopped screaming for a while.
The geezer was useless as a hostage now anyway, and it was taxing for Claude to keep stamping on him.
"Dad!" Lydia quickly ran up, but her father was already unconscious and bleeding profusely after all his surgical stitches were torn wide open.
"Doctor, please help my father!" She turned toward Winter and begged.
"Don't worry," Winter said, nodding as she rang the buzzer by the hospital bed.
Soon, a group of nurses rushed in and put him on a stretcher as they rushed him to the operating room.
"Hey, beautiful-I think I should warn you now..."
Claude simply stood there despite being the culprit, folding his arms before his chest as he scoffed, "Lydia Kinley here probably doesn't have the money for another O surgery."
"I..."
Lydia was taken aback, the light in her eyes dimming as she murmured, "Mr. Dresden is right, doctor. Could I owe the money for now..."
She trailed off, her lack of
confidence leaving her even
panicked, as she feared Winter ret
