The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2453

Chapter 2453

Bella trembled. Her eyes were filled with loss and shock. "Justin..."

The blinding lights of the cameras erupted once more, capturing Justin's retreating figure. The crowd exchanged bewildered glances.

"Justin, where are you going?!" Ryan stared in astonishment.

Just as Ryan was about to chase after him, Ian abruptly stopped her. "Chairman Hoffman, let me go instead!"

With that, Ian took off in pursuit.

Ryan looked toward the wide-open doors, an inexplicable sense of foreboding rising in his mind.

"Ryan, stay here and watch over Bella. Arnold has left-I'm going to find him!" With a solemn expression, Asher strode away without hesitation.

"Hey! You!" Ryan clicked his tongue in frustration, grinding his teeth. "Why is it always me babysitting?!"

The reporters surged forward, surrounding Grant in an instant.

Clarice tried to shield him with her own body, but she was a delicate woman wearing high heels. The group of reporters shoved her around, leaving her utterly disheveled and embarrassed.

"Mr. Grant, when Mr. Justin has been removed, you stood to gain the most! After all, you took his position! There's growing suspicion from the public, claiming you orchestrated this, that this is an internal power struggle within the family-a ruthless battle between brothers! What do you have to say about these accusations?"

"Was it you who ordered the police investigation against Mr. Justin?"

Clarice trembled, cold sweat breaking out all over her body.

Yet, Grant remained astonishingly composed. His gaze cut through the crowd, locking onto Bella, who stood at the edge of the commotion. Her posture was unyielding as she stared coldly at him.

His voice was deep and steady, without the slightest tremor. It was as if every action he had taken was righteous, beyond reproach.

"First of all, you are all mistaken. I did not take anything from Justin. I merely reclaimed what was rightfully mine. The Salvador family has always passed down the position of successor to the eldest son. It was that way in my father's generation, and it is the same in mine. Now that I have returned from my recovery abroad, the presidency of Salvador Corporation belongs to me. Even if my brother had not been removed, the position should still be mine."

Grant spoke without a change in expression, as if it were an indisputable truth, acting completely shameless.

"Secondly, Salvador Corporation is a publicly traded company. The appointment and dismissal of its president is not my decision alone. Justin's removal was the result of a board resolution and vote. It had nothing to do with me."

Having said his piece, Grant cast one final, lingering look at Bella. The corner of his lips

curved into a sinister smile before he turned and strode away.

Bella felt her breath catch, and her skin felt clammy at the sight of his smile.

"Mr. Grant... Mr. Grant!"

Clarice, jostled by the reporters, lost her balance. With a thud, she fell to the floor, humiliated, surrounded by flashing cameras.

In the restroom of the hotel, Ian locked the door. Still uneasy, he pushed a cleaning cart against it for extra security. "Mr. Salvador! Are you alright?!"

Justin was no longer his usual tall and imposing self. He was curled up in the corner, trembling uncontrollably. His chiseled face was now deathly pale, drained of all the dignity and composure he once held.

He no longer resembled the proud and formidable man he used to be.

He was destitute, broken, and degenerate someone entirely different from his usual self. "Mr. Salvador, are you having...?" Ian dropped to his knees in front of him, eyes red with unshed tears.

Ian could not bring himself to say the words, 'Withdrawal from the drugs.'

He could not accept this reality.

For countless nights, he would have nightmares of Justin succumbing to his addiction in public-of him losing everything and his reputation in tatters. Every time, he woke up in terror.

"Ian... Ian..." Justin's entire body convulsed. Bloodshot eyes stared desperately at Ian as he stretched out his trembling hands. "Restrain me... Hurry... Tie me up!"

Ian wiped his tears fiercely and hurriedly pulled off his tie, wrapping it tightly around Justin's wrists, knotting it securely.

"No... No!" Justin's once-unshakable willpower was crumbling. Tears streamed uncontrollably down his face. "Medicine... Give me medicine..."

Ian shook his head, crying. "No! You cannot take that poison!"

"Then kill me!" Justin's eyes were bloodshot, laced with unbearable agony and despair. He howled, his tears and snot flowing together in an ugly, broken mess.

At that moment, Ian's chest clenched so tightly that he thought his heart might burst because there was a knock at the door.noveldrama
