MISTAKE 87
Chapter 87: A sister.
“Your mother,” Daniel answered.
“What are you talking about? They took her? She is dead. Her ashes are at home,” Anya said.
“I have been looking into it. They took her during the cremation. She was not dead,” he said, and she almost went crazy.
“What do you mean? Are you saying she is alive?” Anya asked.
“Think about it. Her records show that she was fine and doing well. Why did she suddenly have an episode?” he asked, and Anya felt her head spin.
“So, they orchestrated the entire thing to get their hands on her?” She asked.
“Yes. That way, no one is looking for her. I have someone looking into her whereabouts. We got a lead. We will find her,” he said.
“It has been months. They have had her for months,” Anya said.
“I will find her,” Daniel promised. He could see she was losing her mind.
“Why are they doing this?” Anya asked. But her phone rang. It was Kelsey. She only glanced at it and ignored it.
The phone kept ringing till Anya threw it right across the room in anger.
The day passed like that. But Anya was taking it hard.
It took a while for her to get discharged, and Dandel took her home. The family must have heard of what happened, as Wendy was especially gentle with her.
When Anya received her new phone, Kelsey called again. This time she picked.
“You ignored my calls for so long,” Kelsey said.
“What do you want?” Anya asked impatiently.
“My
father has arranged for you to meet someone. You should come,” she said, and Anya scoffed.
“What does your family have to do with me?” she asked.
“He is from a rich family. You would be set for life,” Kelsey said, and Anya could not help but
chuckle.
“Give her to your sister then. I don’t need…” Anya started to say.
“You don’t care what happens to your sister?” Kelly chuckled darkly.
“That is your sister, not mine.”
“I mean your sister. Emma,” Kelsey said, and Anya froze. Emma had gone missing as a child. What was she saying?
“Do you think Grandma never found her? You had best behave…” Kelsey started to say.
“Are you saying your family had her all this while?” Anya asked, then chuckled.
“Kelsey, thank you for telling me this. For years, my mother got sick trying to find her, but you all knew where she was? I will make sure every single one of you, from that old woman to your father, sleeps on the street. You can keep your information. As long as I know where to look, I can find her,” Anya said and ended the call.
In one large motion, she swept her make–up off the table, sending them to the ground.
Daniel heard the commotion and walked in side in a hurry.
“Anya, what is it?” he asked when he

“Why is everyone doing this to me? What did my family do to them?” Anya basically shouted, tears spilling from her eyes.
“Talk to me,” Daniel said, taking her in his arms.
or away s
“My sister is not missing. They have her. They kept this time,” Anya said between sobs. Daniel had done his research on Anya after finding out she was the girl he knew in childhood. He knew she had a missing sister.
“Who has her?” Daniel asked.
“My grandmother. She found her long time ago. I don’t know where she is,” she answered.
“Breath, baby. I will find her. Okay? I will find her,” Daniel promised her.
On the other end, Kelsey was angry when Anya ended the call. She turned to her sister.
“What did she say?” Courtney asked.
“She threatened to make all of our family sleep in the street. She is crazy,” Kelsey answered.
“She doesn’t care about Emma?” Courtney asked.
“She said now she knows where to look; she can find Emma herself,” Kelsey answered.
“she is crazy.
“Who is crazy?” Old Madam Jones asked, and both girls turned to see their grandmother by
the door.
“Anya. She doesn’t care about Emma,” Kelsey answered.
“You told her about Emma?” Old Madam Jones asked angrily.
“Yes. Dad wants me to marry that mental patient, Timothy Grey,” Courtney complained.
“Why should Courtney be the one to do that when Anya is still alive? She can marry him, just like Emma married in my place a long time ago,” Kelsey said. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Old Madam Jones thought about it. What they said seemed to make sense
“I will talk to your father about it. He will handle it. You will stay out of it,” Old Madam Jones instructed before leaving. Both girls glanced at each other then smiled.
Back in the Shaw mansion, Daniel glanced at Anya on the bed before getting up to answer a call. He had managed to calm her and put her to sleep.
Chapter 87. A sister.
“Yeah, what did you find?” Daniel asked.
“You were right to have me check the money. They have a deal with the Smith family. The kind of small most upper class would have between in–laws. An Emma Johnson is married to the Smith’s only son,” Jerry answered.
“She should be the one,” Daniel said.
“Do you want to have them meet? I can have someone arrange it,” Jerry asked.
“Sure. Ease her into it,” Daniel said.
And like that, the meeting was set. Emma had been stopped at a coffee shop by a strange man saying he knew where her sister was.
Emma was basically shaking when she was led to an upper–class restaurant where a nervous Anya was waiting.
When Daniel saw her enter, he stepped out to give them space.
“Anya?” Emma asked, and Anya’s eyes filled with tears.
They quickly embraced.
“They said they never found you!” Anya and Emma said at the same time. They cried for a good thirty minutes. It took some time for both of them to calm down.
“What do you mean?” Anya asked, “I was told you were never found.”
“When grandma found me, she said your mom went missing looking for me,” Emma said.
“That old woman told us she never found you,” Anya said between her teeth.
“What about mom?” Emma asked.
“Mum is…dead,” Anya answered. She was not sure if they could find her mother, and what they had was speculation. She did not want to drag Emma into it.
Emma’s eyes filled with tears again.
“Why did she lie? I only found out when I had my husband check. Kelsey was trying to use your location to threaten me into meeting some man her father arranged,” Anya explained, and Emma’s tears stopped instantly.
“She dared! She wanted to do to you what they did to me. They had me marry into a family as
a business deal. I can’t leave because I have a son now,” Emma said.
“What? Why are they doing this?” Anya asked.
“Maybe because you two are the actual owners of the family business,” Daniel said, and they both turned to see him by the door.
“What?” Anya and Emma asked in unison.
“I had it checked. For some reason, your family shares are just being held by your
grandmother and uncle. That means it is not theirs. But I found that the Jones family home is
in your names,” Daniels said, and the two girls were speechless.
“So, it’s all ours? How?” Anya asked.
