Take Me Away

Chapter 141 Don't Hurt My Baby

Chapter 141 Don't Hurt My Baby

The loud voices of people arguing and yelling attracted bystanders. Doctors and nurses stood in a

corner and whispered to one another as they watched. None of them dared to intervene.

Spencer was about to speak, but he froze when he saw the vulnerable expression on Fiona's face.

For every step he took towards her, she moved farther away from him. It was the first time in a long

while that she'd mustered up the courage to tell Spencer her feelings for him. She didn't expect things

to turn out like this. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

At that moment, Celine stepped forward and pointed at Fiona. In a snarky tone, she said, "Fiona, you

are the last person here who can call us disgusting! If you're as innocent as you claim to be, then why

did you sleep with Charles while you were in Cherry Grove Residence? And why are you still hiding the

truth from Spencer that it is in fact Charles' child you're carrying in your belly?"

Upon hearing Celine's snide remarks, Fiona's mind went blank.

She stopped sobbing and stared at Celine in utter disbelief. "What did you say? Whose child did you

say it is?" she asked in a hoarse voice.

"Come on, you're carrying Charles' baby!" Celine walked closer to her, taking one step a time. The

closer she got, the more furious Fiona became. "Fiona, you've been hooking up with Charles for a long

time now, isn't that right? I wasn't quite sure when I was working in the company. But now that I think

about it, I think you've been hooking up with Charles since then. Who knows, you probably conspired

with him and the two of you staged this whole kidnapping incident. But why did you come here after

getting pregnant with his child? Were you hoping to gather information about Spencer and his next

move so that you could leak that intel to Charles? Hmm?"

After saying those words, Celine eyed her as though she was going to swallow her whole. 'Why do

Spencer and Charles treat Fiona like she is some prized treasure? What does she have that I don't?

Well, now I've finally connected Fiona and Charles together. It will be a piece of cake to get them out of

the equation this time!' she thought to herself.

"Celine! You'd better watch what you say!" Fiona's eyes were red with rage and her body trembled as

she raised her hand and was about to slap the other woman.

"Fiona!" someone shouted all of a sudden. Everyone standing in the corridor froze in shock when they

heard that voice. It was George. He had come out of his room after hearing all the commotion that was

happening around him. He couldn't help but call Fiona's name out loud when he saw what was going

on.

Fiona suddenly felt someone grab her arm tightly.

She raised her head and saw Spencer standing in front of her. Looking at his face, she couldn't help

break into tears.

"Don't make a scene, Fiona!" Spencer stepped in front of Celine, protecting her from Fiona's slap.

"You think I'm the one being unreasonable here?" Fiona asked, choking back her tears. She suddenly

remembered the day Spencer was informed about her pregnancy. Back then, he couldn't even bear to

look her, and wasn't willing to hear the truth no matter how hard she tried to tell him. Feeling

disheartened, she continued, "You don't trust me, do you? Do you think I conspired with Charles and

staged my own kidnapping? You also think I'm carrying his child, don't you?"

Celine snapped, "Of course it's Charles' child! You—"

"Shut up!" Spencer interrupted Celine in a warning tone. He was about to say something more, but

then he thought better of it. Instead, he grabbed Fiona's arm and dragged her away. "Come with me."

"I am not going anywhere with you!" Fiona abruptly pushed his hand away and wiped the tears off her

face. "I'm not going anywhere until you tell me how you really feel!"

Watching them all arguing, George turned to his assistant and said in a firm voice, "Give them some

privacy. Get everyone out of here! Now!"

"Yes, sir!"

After saying those words, George turned and looked at Fiona's bony figure standing in the corridor. His

blood boiled when he saw the way Spencer treated her. He gripped the armrests of his wheelchair

tightly, causing the veins in his hands to bulge.

Spencer had never felt this miserable before. He was skilled in battle strategy and could win wars

effortlessly, but he felt powerless when it came to winning over Fiona's heart.

"I don't think you conspired with Charles," Spencer said, feeling sorry for her.

"What about the video? And the child?" Fiona continued to ask as she locked eyes with him and

studied his expression meticulously.

The corner of Spencer's lips stiffened. All of a sudden,

Fiona raised her hands and clapped loudly.

With a wry smile, she said, "I applaud you, Spencer! This has been an eye opener for me. You still

don't believe my words. From the very first time I met you, you've always been cruel and mean to me.

You make me believe that there's hope for us and then you break my heart over and over again. And

now you even slept with your sister. If you only want to punish me, don't you think you've done enough

of that already? Or do you want to see what I'm like when I'm completely broken? Will that satisfy you?"

Spencer clenched his jaw, feeling aggrieved. "Do you think I want to punish you after trying so hard to

win over your heart? You keep saying that I don't believe you, but answer me truthfully —do you believe

me even in the slightest? I have loved you with all my heart. I have taken care of you and I've even

promised you that I'll let go of everything to start a new life with you. But have you ever reciprocated my

love? I told you that I only want you and no one else. I swore to you that I have no interest in Celine

and she will only be a sister to me for as long as I live..."

"If that was true, why did you do what you did three days ago?" Fiona roared, interrupting him before

he could finish his sentence. Spencer was about to retort, but when he saw how weary she was from

all the arguing, his anger immediately disappeared.

"What happened three days ago was an accident! I didn't do it on purpose! It was a mistake," he said in

a low voice, gritting his teeth.

"I want to be alone for a while." Fiona clutched her chest and turned to leave.

"Fiona!" However, Spencer wouldn't let her go. He grabbed her arm and took the chance to lift her up

when she turned around. Carrying her in his arms, he walked to the door of the closest ward, kicked

the door open, and locked the door from the inside.

"Spencer!" As soon as Celine saw them leave, she rushed behind them and started knocking on the

door.

"It's no use." George moved the wheelchair and stopped in front of Celine. When he had first seen her,

he had sensed that she held some animosity towards Fiona, but he hadn't expected things to be this

bad. Considering the nature of her relationship with Spencer, it wasn't a surprise that she hated Fiona!

"Celine, it's best if you just went to your room. You'd go now if you were smart," George said coolly.

"And why is that? Why should I go back?" Celine asked aggressively, turning to George.

"Because I can send you back to M City right now if I want to!" George slapped the armrest of his

wheelchair with his right hand. He never cursed, but he made an exception for Celine. "Spencer is only

a guest here, so don't try to do anything under his name. Besides, now that all these things have

happened, our superiors are going to be suspicious of Spencer's behavior. Is that what you want?"

"How is Fiona any better than I am? She—"

"Fuck off! Throw her out!" George roared. His hand immediately shot up to massage his throbbing

temples. The two men who stood beside George quickly dragged Celine away, one holding her right

arm while the other held her left.

'How could you make such a mistake, Spencer?'

George sighed and thought to himself, clenching his fists.

"Get away from me, you asshole! Don't you dare touch me!" Fiona screamed at the top of her lungs.

Spencer hugged her tightly and never let her go. No matter how hard she punched him and struggled,

he didn't budge. He felt that if he let her go now, he would lose her forever.

"Don't touch me!" Waving her arms in the air, she cried out to catch her breath. "If I knew I would see

your ugly faces as soon as I woke up, I would have never woken up!"

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for hurting you, Fiona..." He hugged her even tighter as he apologized.

The news about Spencer and Fiona's quarrel quickly reached the officers' ears. Within minutes, all the

officers, including Leo, marched to the hospital.

"What happened? Where's Spencer?" Leo asked with a frown.

"Lee!" George saluted him with respect. "He's in the room, sir."

Upon hearing this, Eric and Daniel rushed to the room and started banging on the door with their fists.

"Spencer! Please come out!"

"Shut up!" Spencer's loud roar came from inside the room.

Leo anxiously began pacing back and forth in the corridor. He then knocked on the door softly and said,

"Tell me, what's the matter? Everything should be fine now that your wife is back safely, right? Is

everything okay? Why are you two fighting? We were just attacked. Can't you set aside your personal

problems for the time being?"

"Lee, what do you mean you were just attacked?" George asked, puzzled.

Leo rubbed his nose and replied, "You don't have to worry about it. You take rest. We've got it covered."

"I may not be able to walk, but I can still use my brain to plan strategies! Lee, what are you trying to

hide from me?" George said in a low voice. His usual cool and composed self had disappeared, and he

now seemed very anxious.

He had wanted to rush forward and comfort Fiona when he saw her crying sadly. 'How I wish I could

step in and punch Spencer to help her out,' he thought. 'But I don't even have the strength to stand up.

And now, I can't even be involved in what goes on at the base?'

"I didn't mean it like that, George. I just didn't want you to get stressed thinking about this. It's not good

for your health." Leo sighed, shaking his head. "T Country won't let this go. We sneaked into their

country to save our people. They are only going to cause more trouble for us. We have to explain our

actions to them. Or else, it will result in a conflict between our countries!"

After hearing that, George clearly understood the situation they were in.

Inside the room, Fiona was exhausted from all the crying. Spencer still had his arms around her, but

she didn't have any strength left in her to fight him, so she turned away and avoided looking into his

eyes.

"Fiona, let's start over again, okay?" Spencer whispered in her ear when he saw her calm down. "When

we go back to M City, let's forget everything that happened like it was just a bad dream and start over

again."

"Start over? How do you plan on starting over?" Fiona asked sarcastically.

"I'll make sure Celine goes abroad and I'll never see her again, I promise! And you..." Spencer

hesitated just for a moment before he continued, "If you get rid of that baby you're carrying, I'll forget

this ever happened and we can start over again, happily."

Fiona suddenly raised her hand and slapped him hard in his face.

"You've already murdered one baby of ours! Do you really want to kill the second one as well?

Spencer! You bastard! I will never allow you to hurt my child! You can't harm my baby!"

"You're right to call me a jerk. But you can't keep this child!" Spencer insisted, staring straight into her

eyes. He had to be a hundred percent certain that the child in her womb was his. He couldn't even

think of letting her give birth to another man's child.

"Why won't you let me keep this child? It's yours!" Fiona grabbed his collar and burst into tears. "It's

your baby! How can you be so heartless?"
