Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 58

Happy reading….

Andrew had just set foot in his company, but a man who was his secretary immediately approached him. The look on his face was confused and uneasy making Andrew not happy to see him.

“What is it?” Andrew asked.

The man didn’t answer immediately, but made a face as if saying what he was about to talk about was inappropriate in an open room like this. Andrew who understood that then continued his steps towards his roomAll text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“What’s the matter, Jonathan?” Andrew asked a second time. He was sitting in his oversized chair now and ready to hear what the man had to say.

The man named Jonathan bit his lower lip as if he was still hesitant to tell. Taking a deep breath, Jonathan handed the file he had been holding on to Andrew.

Andrew glanced at Jonathan for a moment before accepting the file. Open it and read carefully. Andrew’s eyes widen.

“What does this mean?” Andrew asked looking at Jonathan.

“The shareholders withdrew all their shares from our company, sir,” said Jonathan with a disappointed expression.

“Yes. I know … what I’m asking is why did they do that? We didn’t do anything wrong.”

“That’s because of the news about the divorce of your daughter and Mr. Jayden. They all lost trust,” said Jonathan, not daring to look his boss in the eye. “Not to mention that Mr. Jayden has let go of this company.”

“What?!” shouted Andrew.

“Yes, sir. Mr. Jayden no longer oversees our company,” said Jonathan with a regretful face.

Whether coincidentally or not, that day Andrew forgot to take his medicine. Making the man unable to accept the shocking news. Andrew fell unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital immediately. Thankfully he was still able to be saved even though he had to suffer from paralysis due to a stroke.

Hera wiped away her tears as she saw her parents lying weakly on the hospital bed. And it’s all because of Jayden.

Hera had prayed that what had happened to her father was not because of the man who was still her husband, because at that time Jayden was with her. However, Hera was wrong. In fact, Jayden had planned everything before coming to pick up Hera and Juan.

What an asshole!

“Hera!” Haidar called softly as he sat beside Hera.

After making a fuss there, the man came back with some food for Hera.

“I’m not hungry,” said Hera, refusing the food Haidar gave her.

“Your mother and father are bedridden and now you want to get sick too? Then who will take care of them, Hera?” Haidar said.

Hera sobbed as she looked down. Haidar could understand how Hera felt. She was at the lowest point in her life. The figure she was leaning on was now lying sick. Not to mention that it happened on purpose. Haidar couldn’t even imagine if he was in Hera’s position now. Maybe Haidar wouldn’t be able to deal with it.

Haidar carried Hera’s trembling body into his arms.

“I know this is very hard. But I believe you can get through it, Hera. Because you will not be alone, I will always be with you,” said Haidar honestly from the bottom of his heart.

Hera didn’t answer but she hugged Haidar back as if he was the strongest place she could rely on to complain. The man gently patted Hera’s back trying to calm her down. And miraculously Hera felt very calm in Haidar’s arms.

“Make me one of your places to lean on, Hera.”

“Hera….”

Feeling her head gently rubbed, Hera woke up from her sleep. She was so tired that she unconsciously fell asleep propped up on Anne’s bed. While Haidar was out for a while with Ridwan.

“Mom,” Hera softly smiled when she saw that Anne had come to her senses.

Anne tried to sit up with the help of Hera. “How is your Dad doing?” asked the woman with a worried expression on her face.

“Dad is fine, Mom,” Hera replied, pausing to hold Anne’s hand. “But as the doctor said, Dad had a stroke,” she said later.

“Oh my God….” Anne sobbed.

Hera hugged Anne tightly trying to encourage each other. After feeling calmer, Hera took her mother to meet her father. Again Anne wept bitterly to see her husband lying helplessly on a hospital bed.

But it seems that is not enough. The device in Hera’s coat pocket vibrated. It was a call from Ara. Hera chose to take calls outside the room.

“Hello, Ara. What’s wrong? Is Juan cranky?” asked Hera after placing the flat object to her ear. At the same time, Haidar came to Hera.

“No, madam… but could you come now?” asked Ara in a frightened tone.

Hera’s brow furrowed. “What is it?”

Hera’s question was answered as soon as she arrived at her house with Haidar. When she got there she saw the woman sitting with a man with Juan still in her arms.

“Ara, you can go back to your room,” said Hera. From here he will take over. Hera sat in front of the man with Haidar sitting beside her.

“Is it true that you are Miss Hera’s daughter of Mr. Andrew?” the man asked Hera politely.

“Yeah right. Sorry who are you?” Hera asked back.

“We from the bank want to inform you that this house must be confiscated to pay Mr. Andrew’s debts,” replied the man.

“What?” Hera gasped in surprise.

“We’ll give you two days to vacate the house. Then I’ll say goodbye,” the man said and walked away.

The seat in Hera’s place wasn’t even warm yet and she had already received such shocking news.

“I won’t lose anything when you divorce me. On the other hand, you will lose everything when you separate from me.”

Jayden’s words flashed back into Hera’s mind. So this is what the man meant. Hera not only almost lost her father but also the house, company and others have now disappeared.

“Hera, are you okay?” asked Haidar holding Hera’s body. The woman almost fainted. “Damn it! This must be Jayden’s doing,” the man cursed angrily.

Meanwhile Hera could only remain silent as if she had just digested what had happened. Now what should she do? What happened to her family? That’s what seemed to tear Hera’s heart.

Dad, Mom, Juan I’m sorry.
