Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 40

Happy Reading….

The atmosphere was so noisy in the ICU room where Elvis was being treated. A few moments ago, the middle-aged man was declared to be fine allowing the family to breathe a sigh of relief but now his situation is even worse.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Jane hugged Jayden tightly, unable to see her husband struggling between life and death. Seeing that some of the doctors who treated him were getting overwhelmed, Jayden believed that his father might not be helped.

But isn’t that great? Yes. That’s exactly what Jayden expected.

Since his father was sick Jayden never cared one bit. Even if the man dies, the one who is the happiest is Jayden. Because another obstacle to his plan disappeared from the face of the earth. All the care that he has shown so far is only a backstage.

And sure enough. Elvis finally breathed his last.

“Elvis! No! You can’t leave me like this! No… honey! Please wake up… Hiks!” Jane was hysterical when the doctor allowed her to see Elvis’s lifeless body.

While Jane was sobbing there, Jayden smiled triumphantly at Elvis’ body. But it only lasted a few moments. When he saw the doctors return quickly Jayden changed his expression to crying loudly with his mother.

‘You did a good job, Papa. Thank you very much.’ Jayden thought as he pretended to cry.

And as a token of his gratitude, Jayden hosted a lavish funeral for his father.

The man in the black suit looked straight at the figure of Elvis that was on top of the coffin.

“I hope you like this party I made, Papa,” Jayden muttered with a faint smile. He had been quite tired of crying for almost a day. Even his eyes were puffy with dark circles under them. The man’s lips were already very pale.

“Perfect,” said Jayden, seeing his reflection in the glass he was holding. He really looks like a son who was devastated by the loss of his father.

So now before the guests arrived and Jayden had to pretend to cry again, he wanted to celebrate himself first.

Because there was still one more thing he had to do to perfect all his plans.

Hera Altezza.

The woman who was approaching him with Andrew and Anne. He had to trick the woman too to get into his game. Jayden quickly changed his expression.

“You’re the patient one, son,” Andrew said hugging Jayden tightly.

“Yes, Dad,” Jayden said quietly.

A play so perfect that it fooled everyone. Including Hera. Even when Jayden dropped his head on the woman’s shoulder, she didn’t push his at all. Hera instead carried Jayden in her arms.

Jayden could guess. Hera must be blaming herself because she was indirectly the cause of her father’s illness and death.

Not only Jayden who thinks so but Jane, the mother also thinks so.

Should Jayden applaud that all his plans went smoothly?

Especially when Jane slapped Hera, Jayden’s heart jumped for joy. It doesn’t end there. Hera even knelt down in front of Jayden and his mother made Jayden feel like he was above the clouds.

He really didn’t want a rare moment like this to pass quickly. But it can’t be helped Jayden is getting fed up and wants to end it immediately.

“Aish! My eyes are sore from crying too much,” Jayden grumbled as he walked towards the room after escorting his mother to her room.

When he opened the door, he saw Hera sitting on the edge of the bed with her back to him.

“Satisfied with what you did, Hera?” he said making Hera turn around.

“What do you mean, Jayden?”

Jayden chuckled. Laughing at how innocent she was that he could trick her so many times.

“You’re asking when you really understand what I mean. But that’s okay because your acting today was quite satisfactory. So, I will consider it a little,” said Jayden.

“W–what?”

Seeing the look in Hera’s eyes that changed, Jayden was sure that the woman had now realized that Jayden had tricked her again.

“What did you say? Acting?” Hera’s voice trembled with anger. “So this was all part of your plan, Jayden?!” shouted Hera clenching her hands.

Hera walked over to Jayden wanting to drop a slap on the cheek but the man was stronger and Hera was too tired to make her easily caught by Jayden.

“Akh!” groaned Hera as Jayden locked her hands behind her back and the man stood behind her.

“You’re the one who wanted to play with me first, Hera,” Jayden whispered right in Hera’s ear making the woman’s hairs grow.

“You bastard!” Hera cursed trying to free herself but it only made her hand hurt even more.

“Ah!!!”

“You should just shut up. There’s no need to do anything. After all, you can never get away from me,” Jayden said ending with a laugh that sounded terrible.

“Now do you see the consequences of your actions?” said Jayden pushing Hera so hard that she fell to the floor. She don’t know what hit her calf until fresh blood came out of it.

Jayden lowered his head and pulled Hera’s chin to look straight into her sharp eagle eyes. He gripped the woman’s jaw tightly.

“You got everyone involved in this. And if you just stay quiet we can sort it out, honey,” Jayden said with a crooked smile.

“You’re a devil, Jayden,” said Hera.

“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Jayden replied, smiling proudly and removing his hand from Hera’s jaw.

Jayden walked around Hera’s body. “We’ll see. One by one the people you love will leave you, if you keep fighting me,” Jayden said again.

Hera looked at him with hatred. Jayden had really shown his true self now.

“So think about it! Their fate is in your hands.” Jayden stepped away from Hera. “Are you going to keep your ego going against me or just shut up and enjoy the show,” Jayden said then disappeared behind the white door.

Hera wept bitterly there. Regret. Not only because she met Jayden but because she once loved Jayden.

Demon hearted man.
