Chapter 21 Are You Done Making a Scene?

Dominic looked down at Bella with his eyes devoid of any emotion. In the morning mist, his figure seemed somewhat ethereal, like a divine apparition

“Are you done making a scene? His voice was icy.

Bella’s body tensed slightly. Did he really think she was just causing trouble?

She fought to suppress the pain in her heart and stood up, trying to explain, “I’m not…”

Before she could finish, Dominic interrupted her impatiently, “I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to see you here any longer. Leave!”

Bella clutched the edge of her clothes nervously as her eyes turned red. “Please just give me two minutes. I just want to explain…”

She didn’t realize how pitiful she appeared at that moment, perhaps accustomed to such humiliation over

time.

Dominic’s expression was one of suppressed anger, as if he was struggling to keep his emotions in check. “There’s nothing to discuss between us. I have no interest in your matters. I’ll say this one last time, I don’t want to see you here again. Leave now!”

Without hesitation, he turned and walked away. He acted as though staying a second longer would cause him immense discomfort.

Bella went after him, but after sitting all night, her legs were numb. She fell to the ground and scraped her palms on the hard surface. The pain was sharp and intense.

Upon hearing the noise, Dominic’s steps faltered slightly, but he didn’t turn to look.

She had thought that Dominic coming out to see her was a chance to explain, but it turned out he saw it as nothing more than persistent harassment. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Indeed, what man would want to be disturbed while enjoying an evening with another woman? The image of him embracing someone else last night weighed heavily on Bella, leaving her heart utterly desolate, with no spark of hope remaining.

Soon, the sun began to rise, its rays breaking through the darkness, piercing the mist, and suddenly, the light was blinding.

Finally, Bella turned and walked away in the morning light, disappearing around a desolate street corner.

In the hotel room, the woman who had spent the night with Dominic stood before–him with a respectful demeanor. “Mr. Miller, she has left.”

Dominic was lounging on the couch, his long legs crossed in a relaxed pose. However, his gaze was fixed outside through the floor–to–ceiling window, his brow furrowed, looking distracted. “Mm… I see.”

The woman slightly bowed. “I’ll take my leave then. I’ve left today’s schedule here. Please review it later.”

Dominic didn’t respond, only waving his hand in annoyance.

As she reached the door, she hesitated and then tentatively said, “Mr. Miller, if you’re worried about Ms. Jones…”

Dominic cut her off coldly, “She’s not a child anymore.

Chapter 21 Are You Done Making a Scene?

By the time Bella returned to Miller Manor, it was already noon.

Everything about her situation was bleak, but the sun was shining, and the breeze was gentle.

She methodically packed all her belongings. Sitting on the side of the bed, she took out a pen and paper from the bedside table.

For a long time, the pen hovered, without moving. In the end, she didn’t even know how to bid farewell to Dominic.

Ultimately, she wrote only one sentence. “May the rest of your life be peaceful.”

She left her bank card behind, which contained all the money she had saved up. The remainder she hadn’t deposited would be transferred to this card monthly. This was the only remaining connection between. her and Dominic.

Was this nearly twenty–year–long drama finally coming to an end? She was about to leave and start anew, just as she had wished. Yet, why couldn’t she feel any joy?
