Chapter 668 Smash The Phone
Chapter 668 Smash the Phone
The old Mrs. Lawson looked disgusted.
William echoed, "Cathy, you're being willful! You are far not as good as Sophia now."
"Not as good as her? That's not what you said before!"
"Yes, that's not. But that's before, not now. Cathy, you handled the car accident today terribly, did you
see what Sophia did?"
Bella, who hadn't said anything, walked up to Cathy, "Cathy, what accident? Did you get hurt? Let me
see!"
"Leave me alone!"
Cathy was upset. The two people who used to love her so much were now on Sophia's side. How
could she not be upset?
"An accident?" the old Mrs. Lawson snorted, "It must be your fault. If not for Sophia, how could you
have solved it?"
Cathy had thought that the old Mrs. Lawson was at most partial to Sophia, she didn't expect that after
only a few days, she was already Sophia's firm supporter.
"Grandma, what were you talking about?"
"Didn't you understand? Sophia bought the car for you and it was only the first day, you had a car
accident. What else can you do except for making troubles?"
"Grandma, not even you like me now?"
The old Mrs. Lawson didn't know what to say now.
William walked up to Cathy and said, outraged, "What do you mean by that? Of course, Grandma likes
you. You just failed to live up to her expectations. She loves you."
Cathy found it ridiculous, "I can't see it at all now. Grandma used to be on my side when similar things
happened, but now she seems to think that everything Sophia does is right."
"And Dad, Sophia has only just said a few sweet words to you and you're on her side now? I am your
daughter!"
William didn't know how to reply now. He thought for a while and said, "Cathy, you did do it wrong. Why
can't we judge you?"
"I don't think I did anything wrong. I didn't want the accident to happen. It's just an accident! I was
already hurt being caught in an accident, not only didn't you comfort me, but also you yelled at me. If I
had known it, I wouldn't have come back at all! You are all so mean to me now!"
Bella had also been enduring it, after hearing Cathy's words, she helped Cathy up, "Alright, let's go
back to the room. We are done talking to them."
The old Mrs. Lawson started to reflect on herself. Had she been treating Cathy differently from before?
William walked up to her and said, "Mom, I think we've spoiled Cathy. You have no idea. After the car
accident, I had thought Sophia would take back the car, but she didn't. She agreed to let Cathy keep
the car."
"She has made a lot of compromises, but Cathy... She's so unreasonable," William said and sighed.
The old Mrs. Lawson had started to feel sorry for Cathy, but after William's words, she started to think
she was right again.
It was Cathy's fault!
"Yes, you're right. Just because we scolded her doesn't mean we don't love her. She has indeed gone
too far. That was a car accident! You might be killed!"
"That's what Sophia said!"
The next day.
Sophia and Drake were invited to the old Mrs. Lawson's new house for dinner. Emma, Baron, Abbott,
Laura and Bonnie came along. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
As soon as they walked in, they saw William come outside in an apron. He was wearing a smile.
"It's my first-time cooking for you. Everyone, sit down, please!"
He was glad to be the host of such a big house. He was even somewhat proud.
Everyone could feel it, but no one criticized him. They all sat down.
Seeing that Cathy didn't do anything, William whispered to her, "What are you doing? Serving the
guests tea!"
Cathy kept playing with her phone, ignoring him.
"Cathy!" William calling her name.
Cathy had been smiling, William didn't know what she was looking at.
She didn't hear him, but everyone in the room were looking at her, attracted by the noise.
William felt embarrassed, walked up to Cathy, grabbed her phone and threw it aside, "Cathy, didn't you
hear me?"
Cathy said impatiently, "Why did you take my phone?"
"Didn't you see the guests here? Didn't you hear what I said just now?" William scolded her.
Cathy glanced around the room, "They are all family anyway. They won't mind me."
Then she grabbed her phone and was about to keep playing with it.
But as soon as she picked it up, William took it from her again and smashed the phone to the ground.
Perhaps because of the carpet on the ground, the phone wasn't broken.
But Cathy was indeed annoyed.
She shouted angrily, "Dad, what did you do? Why did you smash my phone?"
"Did you hear me just now? There are guests in the house!" William had never felt so angry before. If
Cathy wasn't a grown woman now, he would've slapped her in the face already.
Sophia stood up, "It's okay, Uncle William. Cathy was right. We are all family, we don't mind. Let me."
Then she went to make tea.
This time, the old Mrs. Lawson felt angry, "Cathy, you are a grown-up already. Even if there are all
family members here today, you live here, shouldn't you be entertaining the guests?"
Cathy was irritated, "Now you all like Sophia, right? You all hate me. I am not going to change, I will
stay the way I am!"
The old Mrs. Lawson felt embarrassed and looked at Cathy, "Cathy, I am your grandmother! Be
respectful!"
"Grandma? You still remember I am your granddaughter?"
The old Mrs. Lawson felt aggrieved hearing her words, "Cathy, what are you talking about? Of course, I
remember. But you were only asked to serve the guests tea. That's all!"
