Chapter 490 Kisses
Before Helena responded, the two women sneaked away.
However, Helena was thrilled to see Travis on the scene.
"Why did you come to see me so suddenly?" she asked.
Travis glanced at Alfred secretly and replied, "Don't you want me to see you on the film set?"
"What are you talking about?" Helena looked shy. "I didn't expect to see you here. You didn't tell me
earlier."
"I wanted to surprise you, silly girl."
It was indeed a big surprise for Helena. In her impression, Travis would never do such a thing.
"You won't have a scene until a few hours later. Shall we have a walk over there?"
"OK."
Helena walked with Travis after informing the director about her whereabouts.
On the way, Travis noticed she always distanced herself from him. He approached her and squeezed
her into his arms.
"Afraid of being seen by others?"
Helena blushed. "Not really."
"Why are you so far away from me, then?"
"I thought you were afraid others would know our relationship."
Travis could tell she wasn't lying. Therefore, he forgave her.
Seeing them walk away together, others on the scene became curious.
"What's their relationship, Director?"
The director looked back at the two and replied, "Isn't it evident?"
It proved Helena was Travis's girlfriend for real.
Others wondered what Alfred should do.
Sitting in his chair, Alfred couldn't stop drinking the water. His agent grabbed the bottle from him.
"Enough. Stop it! It'll impact the progress if you want to go to the men's room while filming."
Alfred didn't want to drink water but liquor. However, he couldn't find any alcohol here.
"I didn't expect her to have a boyfriend."
His agent also didn't expect it. For a long time, Helena was known as single. Honestly speaking, she
wasn't in her early twenties, and women of her age had become mothers. However, it was normal that
Helena hadn't gotten married or given birth since she was working in the entertainment business.
Besides, there were only a few of Helena's rumors before. She had never behaved intimately with any
men. Most people guessed she had never dated a man.
That was why Alfred's agent had thought Alfred could pursue his happiness by taking such a good
chance.
"She's dating Mr. Lawson. She won't accept me, will she?"
In Alfred's opinion, he himself was only a lucky ordinary man with a lovely face, so he could have
worked in the entertainment business. After working hard and fighting for his goals, he obtained some
achievements.
Travis was born into a wealthy family, and so was Helena. Besides, he was Sophia's oldest brother.
Alfred could tell Travis and Helena must have known each other long ago.
Suddenly, he seemed to have realized that Helena had been single over the years because she liked
Travis.
The thought displeased him.
His agent thought for a moment and said, "Although it's immoral, I hope you can have a try. If you fail,
you can give up on her. If it works, you won't regret it. Right?"
Alfred gaped at him in disbelief, "Do you support me in breaking them up?"
"Not really. I only want you to have a chance to fight for your happiness. If you confessed to her, she
wouldn't accept it probably. However, if you never told her, she would never know your feelings for her."
Furrowing his brows, Alfred considered his words carefully.
"Of course. It's all up to you. That's just my suggestion."
However, Alfred took his agent's advice seriously. Travis was Helena's boyfriend, so Alfred could still
confess his love to her. Even if he failed, at least he had tried.
The stage manager found a girl from nowhere whose shape was similar to Helena's.
Helena and Travis just happened to return and they interacted intimately with each other.
The director asked, "Excuse me, Mr. Lawson. We've found someone. Do you think it works?"
Frowning, Helena wondered what he meant.
"Yep."
"What's going on?" Helena asked.
The director explained, "She's the stand-in for you, Helena. In the future, she'll act the intimate scenes
on your behalf."
Helena gaped at Travis in disbelief.
Alfred was also taken aback.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Helena looked at Travis inconceivably.
"Think I'll let my girlfriend perform such scenes with another man?" Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
"It's acting, Travis. Nothing else. I know you are unhappy, but what you've done impaired my
professionalism."
Helena had seldom blown up at work, though she looked aloof. At this moment, others could feel the
tension in the air.
The director looked awkward. "Well, Helena... If you have any misunderstanding with Mr. Lawson, why
don't you talk over there? We'll continue to shoot other scenes now."
Helena apologized to him and pulled Travis away.
The director announced, "All right. Let's start shooting."
The girl found by the stage manager looked shy after seeing Alfred. She said politely, "Mr. Kelley, I'm
still a newcomer. I hope you don't mind."
"Of course not," Alfred replied with an indescribable feeling.
He only felt his heart was empty, while focusing on Helena all the time.
The two talked in the corner. Before the scene started, many people saw Travis kiss Helena.
Evidently, Travis was dominating.
Many women on the scene looked envious. "Whoa! Helena's boyfriend is so cool."
"Right! I wish I could have such a boyfriend."
"He resolves problems with kisses. Isn't he like a dominating CEO in romance novels?"
Alfred couldn't withdraw his gaze from them, feeling a sharp pang in his heart.
The director clapped his hand to distract people's attention. "All right. Let's not pay attention to others.
We shall keep up with our plan today."
Alfred had acted well in the past few days, but he made mistakes again this time. The director asked in
confusion, "What's wrong with you, Alfred? How can you have done that? It's very unprofessional. You
should know it."
Earlier, the director was in a good mood. However, Alfred's mistake was too terrible for him to tolerate.
Alfred's agent strode over while apologizing. "Don't worry, director. I'll have a word with him."
He pulled Alfred away and snapped at him, "Alfred, you are an actor. You are not yourself when you
stand in front of the camera. You must try your best to play your role well. I believe you know those
things well. Why did you make such mistakes?"
"Even if you are bothered by love, you shouldn't have done so. A critical moment like this will be a test
of your acting skills. You can't make mistakes like this again."
