"It'll be fine."
Sophia hung up the phone and redialed Drake's number. Much to her surprise, Drake refused to
answer. When she called him again several times, she couldn't reach him.
Sophia didn't know whether to laugh or cry as she didn't expect Drake to behave so childishly.
Since she didn't have much work in the afternoon, she decided to go to his company to coax him.
When Sophia arrived at the Riley Group, a receptionist walked up to her awkwardly and blocked her
way.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Riley. Mr. Riley told us not to let you enter the company just now."
Surprised, Sophia asked, "Did he say so? He didn't allow me to enter?"
"Yes, he did." The receptionist nodded. "Mrs. Riley, I know I cannot stop you. Please have mercy on us.
I might sound too rude, but if I lost my job because of your fight, I would feel aggrieved."
Rubbing her brow, Sophia was wordless.
A moment later, she replied, "OK. I got it."
Since Drake stopped her from entering his company, Sophia returned to her own office.
When Drake heard the news that she had left, he went ballistic.
Paul tried to stay away from Drake as far as possible, afraid to become the outlet for Drake's anger.
"How dare she return to her office! Didn't she know what she had done wrong? She does have the
guts!"
Although Drake might vent his anger on him, Paul bit the bullet to answer, "Mr. Riley, I don't think Mrs.
Riley has done anything wrong. She has paid much attention when having lunch with your cousin, but
your cousin is too cunning."
"Do you mean it's all Rashad's fault?"
Paul nodded. "Mr. Riley, please think about it. If Mrs. Riley had a crush on Rashad, she would be with
him a long time ago and wouldn't wait until now. Evidently, Rashad has liked her since high school but
has never had a chance to confess his love to her. Probably he didn't think he deserved Mrs. Riley,
since he knew how talented and wealthy she was."
"Besides, you were always with her in the past few years. Finally, he had a chance to return to her, so
he wanted to get rid of you..."
Paul broke off and glanced at Drake secretly. Seeing Drake was still calm, he continued, "The photo
posted on his Facebook page is the best evidence. You had just followed him on it before he posted
the photo. After Mrs. Riley called him, he quickly deleted it. His purpose was to disgust you. Mr. Riley, if
you believed his words, you would lose."
Drake always had some dirty tricks up his sleeve, but he disdained using them.
However, he realized something today -- even if he didn't do it, others would probably do it.
Drake glanced at Paul. "Your analysis makes sense."
"Not really, Mr. Riley. The onlooker can see most of the game clearly."
"Get your monthly bonus from the accounting department."
Paul was so excited that he almost knelt to Drake gratefully, since he didn't expect to receive the bonus
so early.
When Sophia saw Drake again, the latter looked calm as if nothing had happened.
Staring at him weirdly, she asked, "Are you not mad now?"
"When did I become mad?"
"You didn't?"
She wanted to see him in his office earlier, but he stopped her from entering.
And now, he refused to admit he had been angry earlier. Sophia didn't believe him.
"Well, when you went to my company, I was out. Even if you entered, you wouldn't see me."
Sophia felt more suspicious, wondering what on earth had happened to change his mood.
"By the way, since you and Bonnie returned to Sealand, our family of three hasn't had a meal together
yet. Shall we dine out tonight?"
Bonnie was playing with toys aside. Drake's suggestion made her trot to them and yell, "Are we going Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
to eat out? I love going to a restaurant with Papa and Mommy!"
Drake lifted her. "What do you want to eat, Bonnie? I'll buy all your favorites."
"How about western food? I like stewed chicken, crispy fried shrimp, and beefsteak."
However, she suddenly broke off in disappointment.
"What's wrong?" Drake looked at her in confusion.
"I'm sorry, Mommy," Bonnie apologized.
"I'm glad you realize it. Western food is fine, but you can pick only one meat dish. Others must be
vegetables."
"OK. I got it."
Drake asked in confusion, "What do you mean, Sophia? Think I cannot afford to raise our daughter?
Why can she only choose one meat dish?"
"You misunderstood. She's too young to digest so much meat. Her digestive system is still under
development. So she must eat something easy to digest."
Drake nodded to echo her, realizing he had a lot to learn.
"OK. Let's go out."
In the restaurant, Bonnie had forgotten the matter that had bothered her earlier. She scanned around
happily, looking adorable.
Drake was the focus of Sealand. As soon as he showed up, everyone's attention was attracted.
Moreover, he held her daughter while walking with his wife. The family of three looked joyful, making
others envious.
Instead of eating in a private box, they sat at a table with an excellent location in the lobby.
All the diners watched them. In fact, they didn't find the family of three were different from other
families. And they were showing good manners the whole time.
Thus, people realized nothing could part Drake and Sophia.
After dinner, on the way home, Sophia received a call from Chloe.
"Now I know Drake is the most shrewd one, Sophia."
Sophia found it difficult to understand Chloe today.
"What are you talking about, Chloe? What do you mean?"
"You missed out on Facebook status again?" Chloe realized something immediately before Sophia
answered. "I understand. You were too busy eating to pay attention to other things."
Sophia looked baffled, have no idea what had happened.
She replied, "Enough. I'll check my Facebook now. Talk to you later."
Walking in front, Drake seemed not to hear her call, talking with Bonnie all the time.
However, he glanced at Sophia from the corner of his eyes from time to time.
