Chapter 445 We Must Give up Something
When Sophia returned home, Bonnie pounced at her. "Mommy, I miss you so much."
Sophia squatted down to hold her, pecking her on her cheeks. "I miss you, too, Bonnie."
"Come here, Mommy!"
Holding Sophia's hand, Bonnie led her to the coffee table.
"Look!"
She passed Sophia a piece of paper on which many people were drawn. Squatting, Sophia asked, "Tell
me, Bonnie. Who did you draw?"
"This is Mommy, Papa, Grandma Molly, Grandpa Baron, Grandma Laura, Grandpa Abbott, Uncle
Travis, Uncle Charles, Uncle Edwin, Uncle Bard, and Aunt Aria. Oh, right. Great-grandpa is here."
She drew everyone in the family without missing a single person.
A child's world was always simple. Even though Bonnie was intelligent, her inner feelings were rather
simple.
She only knew to love everyone who loved her.
Since Sophia married Drake, Bonnie had felt more love and loved more people than before.
Holding her, Sophia said, "Bonnie, you are the happiest kid in this world."
Bonnie nodded and echoed, "I agree. I'm the happiest in this world."
When Drake entered the house, he saw Sophia and Bonnie staying together harmoniously, which
tugged at his heartstrings. He changed into his slippers and walked towards them.
"What are you talking about?"
Bonnie hurriedly showed him the picture. "Look, Papa. I drew it."
Drake took the picture over and saw a big group of people. Although they didn't look like the real ones,
he could tell who they were from their basic features.
"Did you draw them all?"
Strictly speaking, his daughter hadn't turned two yet.
Bonnie nodded.
"Sophia, did she inherit your gift in drawing?" Drake asked.
Sophia chuckled, "She has inherited other gifts from me as well. Probably, she is better at something
than I am."
'Maybe Bonnie not only inherits my talents, but also performs better than me.' Sophia thought to
herself.
Lifting Bonnie in his arms, Drake said, "I only wish you were happy, Bonnie. I didn't expect you to be
gifted. However, since you have a gift for something, you should make use of it well. Don't waste it.
OK?"
Bonnie nodded at him, though not fully understanding what he meant. Soon she thought of something
and changed the subject, "Papa, Mommy, are you planning to have my younger brother or sister? Just
do what you want to do. I won't disturb you."
Sophia didn't know how to answer, looking at Drake subconsciously.
The air that had brought the warmth to Drake earlier suddenly cooled down. The room temperature
also dropped abruptly.
"Drake, can you tell me why Bonnie said so?"
Probably, Bonnie didn't realize she had said something inappropriate. And she urged them, "Just go
ahead. I can have fun myself!"
Sophia replied, "Eh."
Drake had a feeling that Bonnie was making a trap for him. "Wait, Sophia..."
"What do you want to say?"
Before Drake answered, Bonnie held Sophia's hand and explained, "Mommy, Papa asked me if I
wanted a younger brother or sister. I told him I looked forward to one. So Papa said I couldn't interrupt
you if I did want it."
"Mommy, I sometimes felt lonely. Please give me a younger sister or brother. I won't bother you and
Papa."
Sophia looked at Drake. "Did you really tell her so?"
Drake felt bitter but didn't know how to explain. When he looked at Bonnie, the little girl winked at him.
Only then did he realize Bonnie did make a trap for him.
"Sophia, please listen to me..."
Bonnie hurriedly trotted away. "Go ahead. I'm going back to the bedroom."
Drake had never fallen into a trap in his life before, but today, he fell into a trap made by his daughter,
who hadn't turned two yet.
"Sophia!"
Drake strode towards Sophia hurriedly.
"OK. Bonnie is gone. I'm all my ears. How will you explain to me?"
"Sophia!" Drake looked aggrieved. "Listen, Sophia. I admit I said those words to her, but it was for our
own good."
"Oh? In what way?"
"Look. Since Bonnie was back, you've only paid attention to her and ignored me. I'm your husband. I
also want you to love me. Besides, you know I don't have many hobbies but only like being with you."
Drake behaved highly humble.
He had never expected to compete for Sophia with his child.
Finally, he understood the reason that Abbott had let Laura give birth to so many children -- the children
spent time together while they could enjoy their private moments.
"We are parents now, so we cannot lead a life before. Besides, we have spent so much together
before, haven't we?"
"Yes, we have, but I still want more time to be alone with you. Sophia, we were in love first before
having Bonnie. No one else can be compared to you in my heart."
"But, Drake, I hope you can think it through. You are a father now. We're a family of three. Therefore,
you should also consider other things besides having sex with me."Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
"Honey, it's not like having sex is all in my mind. Since Bonnie was back, it has been five days, but we
haven't made love once. Don't you think it's too unfair to me?"
Sophia was angry earlier. However, Drake's last words amused her.
Drake took the chance and approached her. "Don't you miss me? Don't you want it?"
He started flirting with her.
"We have a daughter now, so we must give up something."
Drake held her in his arms. "No. I disagree. I've told Bonnie, and she looks forward to another child in
our family."
Lifting an eyebrow, Sophia asked, "I remember someone has promised me to have Bonnie only."
"Yes, I've promised you before, but I mean I can just enjoy having sex with you without impregnating
you!"
Sophia was rendered wordless.
However, she still refused him eventually. After all, they hadn't had dinner yet. Although Bonnie was
having fun alone, Sophia was afraid the little girl would suddenly appear.
At night, after Bonnie fell asleep, Sophia kicked Drake.
Receiving her hint, Drake scooped her up and entered the bathroom.
They had never tried to make love in such a place.
When Sophia weakened in his arms, Drake was still bothered. "We're legally married, aren't we? Why
do I feel like I'm cheating on someone with you?"
