Chapter 19
Bob said with a bright smile, "Certainly, Mr. Barlow. Your total will be 300 thousand dollars."
After leaving the mall, Shane glanced back at Anderson through the rear mirror. For a moment, he found himself utterly confused by his intentions. Hadn't Anderson explicitly instructed him not to inform him about Mayra's affairs anymore? Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
Shane had initially thought he wanted to shake Mayra off, but here he was personally buying her gifts. Not even Isabel had this sort of treatment.
The Barlow family and the Fisher family were recently very busy with their engagement preparations. However, Anderson seemed indifferent to it all. However, when it came to Mayra, he was completely different…
Anderson tucked away the present and said, "Head back to the office."
Shane asked, "Aren't you going to give Ms. Sandler the gift you carefully picked out?"
Anderson said in a solemn tone, "Her birthday is on the 7th of next month." So that was the reason.

Mayra finished all her homework at around five. However, she had a few math questions she couldn't seem to solve, so she tried calling Gordan for help. But for some reason, he didn't answer any of her calls.
In the past, whenever she called, Gordon would always immediately pick up. What had happened to him now? Why wasn't he answering any of her calls?
Feeling a little hungry, Myra headed downstairs to warm up the leftovers from earlier, planning to have that for her dinner.
After her meal, she then began cleaning up the house. As she was on her way down to take out the trash, she couldn't seem to shake off a nagging feeling.
Since this morning, she couldn't seem to find the keychain Gordan had bought for her last night. She clearly remembered placing it by her bedside. Could Anderson have taken it?
As she walked downstairs with the trash in hand, Mayra thought of calling Anderson to ask. However, she suddenly remembered that his number was no longer in service and thus dismissed the thought.
For two days straight, Mayra called Gordan repeatedly, but he never once picked up. She couldn't help but begin to feel restless longer being able to contain herself, Mayra left Gordan several messages in a row.
"Gordan, if you still don't reply, I'll never speak to you again."
"Gordan, answer me right this instance!"
"Gordan, I have a question I don't know."
At night, Gordon, who had just returned from his part-time job, retrieved his phone from a drawer of an old desk. Mayra was completely oblivious as to what had happened.
The next day, as Mayra was taking the bus to school, she expected that she would bump into Gordon along the way. However, to her surprise, she saw him cycling right past her.
Forgetting that she was still on the bus with several of her schoolmates, she slid open the window and yelled out, "Gordan!"
At that moment, everyone turned their heads to look at her. They then began gossiping among themselves.
"Are Gordan and Mayra a thing?"
"She's so shameless. Gordon clearly doesn't want her."
"Have they both lost their minds?"
