Chapter 23
Rygan couldn’t do it anymore; he couldn’t hide the fact of his feelings-the way his wolf yearned, the way his eyes always. followed her when she was in the room-and he knew now he wanted Elise.
He craved her presence so much that he could practically still taste her on his tongue as he walked back to his chambers. He had told Elise of his promise to break the engagement, and he was going to do just that.
Rygan was in deep thought as he marched to his chambers. He paused in his step the moment he was about to open the door. His nose had twitched from the scent of a familiar she-wolf that he could sense in his room. He knew that it was Alvira. “Let’s just get this over with,” he muttered, choosing that he’d break the engagement since she was conveniently in his chambers.
He walked in to see Alvira sitting outside the large balcony joined to his chambers. “Alvira,” he started.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“Remember when the four of us-I mean, five-used to run around the hills, having no literal plans for the future; I mean, only Kaide and Alana would think ahead?”
“Don’t mention that name.”
“What? I shouldn’t mention my sweet twin sister’s name or how she died, and I was betrothed to you even though you loved her first. I mean, I get it; he was the smarter and stronger one, a talented shifter, while me.”
“Alvira Rygan warned, but she let out a breathy scoff, and she walked into the room. He could see from how dark her eyes. had gone that she had been crying.
“I’m sorry for my outburst and how I treated her tonight, but you must know I am territorial about my mate.”
“We are not mated yet, he corrected. As Alvira reached for the wine bottle, filled two cups, and headed to where stood.
e Rygan
“Of course, future mates are still here; indulge me this evening. Rygan, just for tonight,” she pleads with a desperate whisper. He didn’t know why he took that drink-maybe a soft spot from that small, shallow space of their childhood that she had opened up, the wound of the past of Alana.
“What do you want, Alvira?” He said, downing the cool wine down his throat fast so he could shorten the conversation. Alvira then walked around the chair to sit softly on them as she watched Rygan.
“I just wanted to talk to you, and like I said, I apologize; I cannot let you go. Those months without you here, I felt I was going mad and so guilty.”
“Why would you feel guilty?” Rygan called, and Alvira stood up to fill his goblet again.
“Because after my sister was taken by a human and killed, I felt it was my duty to protect my people, my friends, and you,” she explained, watching Rygan take the cup of wine.
That memory of Rygan finding Alana’s body down the hill with a stab wound: “We still do not know if it was the humans,” he corrected, but now Rygan’s eyes had begun to blur, and he felt his speech getting more slurred by the second.
“And if you have nothing better to talk about, I want you gone,” he drawled out slowly.
“I can give you time to think, but I am not letting you go, Rygan, especially not to that half-br**d cursed b**h.”
“Shut the hell up!” Rygan roared, his hand reaching for her shoulder, holding them so firmly that her body thudded painfully when it hit the wall.
Rygan wasn’t feeling like himself anymore; he could hardly see or think anymore. He felt his skin heated and calm, his body tense. Was it his rut? He wondered.
No, this felt different, it felt too fast and too soon, but he felt his mind being clouded quickly. The Image of Alvira had disappeared, and now he was seeing Elise in front of him.
He was seeing the person he desired most, her red hair glowing and glistening under the lights. He could barely control himself the moment their lips touched.
“It’s me. Rygan; it’s me you want the most; it’s me,” she whispered, reaching to pull down her gown and let it pool to her feet, her breast heavy and dark pink nipples peaking with interest.
“F**k me. Rygan,” her sultry voice instructed, and Rygan felt his body heat up; it did feel like his own; it felt savage and feral; his c**k hardened, twitching and leaking to be set free and in her
And that was his command to go feral; he picked her naked body up, raising her off the ground and onto the wall, his hard c**k out leaking and twitching to lead into her c**t.
His body was fighting itself, wondering why he smelled a different scent mixing in the air. His body couldn’t fully register the person standing next to him, but he was seeing Elise’s face; she was here, and he couldn’t let this moment go.
Like a wild feral animal looking to satisfy his needs, he lined his c**k to her wet sex, pushing firmly in as her arms circled his shoulders. His hard, obscene c**k thrust into her, causing her to moan out louder.
“More! More, f**k me. I need you to spill your seed in me; I need to carry your children; you are mine and only mine,” she muttered into Rygan’s ears as his thrust became faster.
He could hardly hold himself as he pushed his c**k deeper, reaching for a spot so deep to spurt his seed. The sound of their skins and moans filled the room as they f**d louder.
However, someone was watching from the door; someone’s eyes were blown wide in shock and betrayal. It was Elise, the real one. Elise heard Rygan together with Alvira.
Elise, who was excited earlier to come to Rygan and confess her feelings and spend the night with him, was only caught up in the shock of her life.
Alvira, whose hands still hung tightly around Rygan’s neck and held onto Rygan as he pushed his length deeper into her sex, moaned with ecstasy. She then took a glance at the door and caught a glimpse of red hair; a sly smirk split from her lips in victory.
“Rygan, I want you to f**k me against the door,” she whispered into Rygan’s ear, who was drugged out and not in his sane mind.
“Your wish, my command, little wolf,” he growled, taking her to the door. Their heated bodies slammed against the door, causing Elise to clamp a hand over her mouth to stop her cries from coming out.
Her body trembled from the betrayal of watching the man who declared to love her f**k another female.
“Say I’m the only one for you,” Alvira ordered.
“You are the only one for me,” he muttered, making Alvira moan in response. She sighed with a chuckle as Rygan continued his animalistic and feral thrust in her till they were locked in, and his seed spilled into her. The weight of the oak door felt heavy under his grip as she lets go.
Elise couldn’t take it anymore; every word felt like a dagger lodged into her heart as she turns and runs as fast as her legs could carry her back to her chamber, closing the doors before her legs gave out.
How could Rygan do this to her? After his declaration to break off his engagement with Alvira, she was so st**id to believe and trust yet another alpha; she hated this.
She hated that her heart and feelings were always taken for granted; she wished not to feel them, and she wished she could be strong enough to act like they didn’t affect her.
She felt her wolf whine as she muttered, “He betrayed us; he betrayed me.” She muttered over and over again, letting her wolf know that Rygan had betrayed her.
And then it stuck like a cord to her head as she finally realized she was cursed and unlucky, and he was never going to be hers
And he was going to regret taking her for granted.
