Chapter 2215
Chapter 2215
To satisfy Freya's curiosity, I gave her a brief explanation about what had just happened. "Some black men have been coming by lately and he promised to protect us from them."Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
If Cyril's relationship with Frey a had gone well, then the two families would have become relatives. In a sense, Cyrus was a fair man and didn't hold his personal affairs against us.
"I see." Frey a nodded, pretending not to care. However, her eyes, which were looking around slyly, proved otherwise.
Later, Hendrix opened the door to the balcony and came back inside. "I have confirmation that Anne is in Mesville. Tobias will send someone over immediately."
"That's good." I had always trusted Tobias' ability, so I wasn't worried.
As soon as I said that, Freya's cell phone started ringing. She looked to see who was calling her then glanced at me with a puzzled look. "A call from the club?"
She then pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear. "What's the matter?"
She hung up a moment later and quickly grabbed her bag. "Andrea brought some men over to the club and started a fight with the staff. I have to get there right away."
Andrea? Again? Couldn't she just sit still for a day?
Since Anne wasn't around, as her mother, I had to guard her most precious project.
I stood up and grabbed Freya's arm, telling her not to leave. "Wait for me to change. I'm coming with you!"
I'd like to see what that stupid woman would come up with after her failure from last time.
If she wanted a fight, a fight she shall have.
I was overwhelmed with anger and didn't notice Hendrix's reaction at all.
After we got into the car and Freya had driven off, I finally realized that Hendrix wasn't rushing over to the scene like he often would.
I rolled down the window and looked at the rearview mirror, but I didn't see Hendrix by the door. I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed.
But I soon braced myself. I wasn't Hendrix's property. Even if Hendrix wasn't with me, I could still settle things with that madwoman. When we arrived, the club was in a mess.
The hall was crowded as Andrea had brought several of Quinn's men with her. They had surrounded the club and looked like they were ready to take charge with violence at a moment's notice.
Andrea didn't stand out from the crowd of men, but we could tell where she was from her loud and sharp shrieks.
"What are you even yelling for? Believe me, I will fire all of you. How dare you treat your boss like this!"
"Try me! You think I'd let you walk out of here alive?"
"Proof? Your boss' words are proof! Moanna Reid said that I would have complete control and would be in charge of making all decisions from now on. You're just a group of lowly staff What right do you have to even question me?"
"I'm running out of patience. What are you all still standing here for? Are you guys statues?! Throw these bunch of weaklings out!"
On Andrea's command, her men spread out and started pinning people down like madmen.
The club's staff weren't good at
fighting. They all had something in their hands, but nothing they had really worked as weapons. They held onto mops, stools, and chairs as they stuck close to each other to avoid their attackers.
Those in front were thin and small, so they became easy targets of the large burly men Andrea had brought with her. Some had their glasses tossed aside while others struggled to hold on to their friends as they fought back against the attackers.
Their loyalty was truly heartwarming to witness. Anne really knew how to pick the right people.
"Stop this right now! Nobody move!" Freya shouted with all her might. Because she was standing at the entrance, the conflict in the hall was so intense that none of them could hear her at all.
"F*ck," Freya cursed before turning around and stepped out in her high heels.
When she came back in, she had a loudspeaker in her hand. "Stop! All of you!"
