My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel)

Chapter 201

Chapter 201

A strong sense of irritation rose in Janet’s chest. Nathaniel had always been cold and ruthless. In the

past three years, he had rarely been angry. How did he become so unreasonable now?

She wanted to leave, but Nathaniel blocked her way.

“Mr. Webster, since you’re eager to know, I’ll tell you. He trusts me and truly cares about me, but you

don’t!” Janet Jeered,

Nathaniel was stunned.

“Nathaniel, I don’t know if you can understand it, but there is a high probability that you can’t because

you’re heartless!”

Janet’s voice got louder as the look in her eyes got colder. “Just admit it, Nathaniel. You’re always

selfish and self-righteous. You came here to find me because you’re no longer the center of my life,

and it bugs you. Drop the act. Please go!”

As she spoke, she opened the door to make him go at once.

Nathaniel stood where he was, unwilling to leave.

This was not what he wanted to hear when he came here today.

“Why did you marry me?”

Janet paused and turned to look at him, finding it funny.

The last time he asked her this question, she had answered seriously that it was because of love, and

he disdained it. Now he asked again. What did he mean? Was he mocking her?

“Mr. Webster, please get out. If you don’t, I’ll call the police!” Janet said, pointing at the door.

Given the current situation, the police would only protect her no matter what. Moreover, if Nathaniel

was taken to the police station, the shares of the Webster Group would plummet the next day.

Janet bet that he would never do something so disadvantageous.

After all, Nathaniel cherished his reputation the most, right?

Janet’s face was full of mockery, as if she was mocking not only Nathaniel but her past self.

However, Nathaniel stared at Janet persistently, and his tone carried a bit of stubbornness as he

spoke.

“When you married me, you weren’t like this.”

Janet found it ridiculous. She slowly approached Nathaniel. If looks could kill, Nathaniel would’ve been

dead.

“What do you want to hear from me, Nathaniel? Why do you insist on asking me to give you an

explanation? Do you want me to tell you that I can’t forget you? That I can’t live without you? That I

don’t care about any other man but you in the world?”

She laughed out loud.

“Nathaniel, where did your confidence come from? Why do you think that I will never love anyone else

except you? Nathaniel, what makes you think that I will be back together with you?”

When she had a high fever of 104, “F and called him at home, Nathaniel had only indifferently told her

to go to the hospital. She spent four hours making soup for him, but when she took it to his company in

high spirits, he had only told her not to come to the company again unless it was for something

important. For a whole week, she worked on a plan of traveling and even decided what to wear.

However, in the end, he told her he was busy and wouldn’t go.

What was even more outrageous was that…

Anastasia had been showing off in front of her for three years, and she did not even dare to retort.

She was really too stupid in the past!

Janet’s eyes subconsciously became moist, but almost instantly, the tears disappeared.

On the day of their divorce, she was alone and cried all night. Then, she decided never to shed a single

tear for Nathaniel again.

Janet looked at Nathaniel, who was dumbstruck by her words, and the corner of her mouth twitched.

Under the dim yellow light, he could clearly see her eyes, which were full of coldness.

“Nathaniel, do you feel a little sad after hearing what I said? I don’t think so. Otherwise, you wouldn’t

have let me, who loved you so much, suffer such heavy injuries.”

“I…”

Nathaniel spoke in a hoarse voice, but Janet interrupted him.

“Nathaniel, stop being so hypocritical. What have I done wrong? Why do you think I’m at your beck and

call?”

She closed in on Nathaniel, forcing him into a corner. Her eyes were like torches scorching Nathaniel.

“Nathaniel, why are you saying all this today? Do you want us to be back together? Are you saying that

you realized I was a good wife after our divorce? Nathaniel, don’t you think it’s ridiculous?”

Janet pointed at the door again and pushed Nathaniel out of the door.

“Get lost!”
