My Mommy Is A CEO

Chapter 1160 Another Request for Help

Sitting dejectedly in his chair, Casper was lost in thought while Sage remained respectfully bowed before him, afraid to even breathe as he waited for his decision.

Finally, Casper spoke up,

“Anyway, they must not stay. Even if they leave, you have to find them,” Casper saw them as time bombs. What if he succeeded in his business in the future and they came back to threaten him?

“After they are found, execute them immediately. Inform everyone about my order. If anyone questions it, tell them that Leon betrayed me. Tommy can vouch for that.”

“Yes,” Sage nodded, feeling relieved that it seemed Casper didn’t suspect him.

“And,” just as Sage turned around, Casper suddenly spoke up, “You never mentioned that there were police patrols in the area when you were monitoring Nia and Kevin before. How come last night was so coincidental that the police showed up when Leon and his crew were about to make their move? Go investigate this matter thoroughly.”

“Yes,” Sage quickly responded and went to carry out the order.

As soon as Sage left, Casper made a call to an acquaintance who worked at a certain organization and should be able to provide him with answers.

However, Casper still had some doubts about Sage. The police had appeared too conveniently, and only someone like Sage who was secretly observing could have manipulated the timing so accurately. But since he needed Sage’s help at the moment, Casper didn’t want to make a scene. He wondered if this incident was just a coincidence or if it was an opportunity for him to test Sage’s sincerity.

Having received the answer from his acquaintance, Casper was now just waiting to see how Sage will respond.

In the afternoon, Sage called Casper back and explained that the police presence last night was not a coincidence. The city had been cracking down on illegal activities recently and had decided to increase patrol coverage yesterday, which unfortunately coincided with Leon’s situation.

After hearing Sage’s explanation, Casper chuckled and said,

“Got it. It seems that fate is not on my side. You continue to lead the team to find Leon and the others. From now on, you will be in charge of managing these people.”

After hanging up the phone, Casper finally dispelled his suspicion of Sage because his answer was consistent with what he had been told by his acquaintance. Casper was extremely depressed and wondered if God really didn’t favor him.

Casper was unaware that his acquaintance had contacted Arthur after hanging up the phone with him, informing him that Casper had indeed called to inquire about the situation.

Arthur expressed his gratitude to him and conveyed his hope that they would continue to investigate the matter. His acquaintance responded by stating that it was his duty and something he should do.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Just as Arthur hung up the phone, the gentle soft beside him leaned over, followed by Lucia’s voice with fun,

“If Casper knew that everything he did was under your control, he would probably be so angry that he would spit blood.”

“It’s just too good for him to only spit blood,” Arthur chuckled.

“Casper is proud and arrogant, always thinking he can manipulate the situation, but he doesn’t realize that he’s already a caged bird.” Lucia’s voice turned colder.

“Lucia, Nia and Kevin are now walking on thin ice and they may come to you soon.”

“What’s the use of finding me?” Lucia raised her eyebrows lightly and said indifferently, “I’ve already said that I don’t care anymore. But there might still be some hope in finding you.”

“Let’s make a bet. Who do you think they will find first?” Arthur teased Lucia.

“Not betting,” Lucia immediately frowned, “Every time I bet with you, I lose!”

Arthur smiled gently and held the lovely woman into his arms.

Just as they were being affectionate, the office door suddenly knocked and Gracie’s voice followed,

“Ms. Webb, Ms. Davidson and Mr. Berry are requesting a meeting.”

As soon as Lucia heard this, their brows furrowed. She raised her hand and pinched Arthur’s cheeks, saying,

“Mr. Davies, are you able to predict things?”

“They are afraid that Casper will take action again, and Lauren is not around, so of course they will shamelessly come to ask for your help. This can be guessed without any divination.” Even though his cheeks were being pinched by Lucia in retaliation, it did not diminish Arthur’s charm when he smiled lightly.

“I don’t care. But you deal with them later!” Lucia said angrily, letting go of her hand and turning away in a huff.

“You just keep staring at them. I’ll take care of the rest,” Arthur touched Lucia’s earlobe and chuckled as she said “too lazy” before asking Gracie to “invite” them in.

Shortly after, Gracie led Nia and Kevin into the office. They were obviously surprised to see Arthur there and were momentarily stunned.

Arthur saw through their thoughts at a glance and raised his hand, saying,

“Please have a seat. Just tell me if there’s anything you need to say. Lucia said she doesn’t care.”

Lucia gave Arthur a glare upon hearing his words. This guy…

Although Nia didn’t expect Arthur to be there, she knew that asking him for help was just as reasonable as asking Lucia. So she pulled Kevin to sit across from them and eagerly said,

“Mr. Davies, please help us. Casper tried to kill us again last night. I’m afraid we would have been killed if the patrolman hadn’t just turned up.”

“Well, I’ve heard about this,” Arthur replied calmly.

“Ms. Webb, we promised to help you identify Casper’s true identity before. You can’t just watch us get hurt, can you?” Kevin said to Lucia with a cold face.

Lucia’s response was just a light hum, without even turning her face around. This attitude made Nia and Kevin extremely worried.

“Aren’t you all sitting here fine now?” Lucia didn’t say anything, but it was Arthur who responded to Kevin,

“The police have already been alerted this time, and Casper won’t come after you again in the short term.”

“But that’s only in the short term!” Nia anxiously said, “As long as we’re still alive, we’re his biggest threat. He will always find ways to come after us. That’s why we hope Mr. Davies and Ms. Webb can be generous enough to help us!”

“Generous?” Arthur snorted, “Haven’t we been generous enough with you? It’s because of your repeated opposition against Casper that Stable Growth had to be transferred. If you were smart enough to keep a low profile and not provoke each other, there wouldn’t be any trouble at all! Who else would he hate if not for you? Why should Lucia and I keep being so generous with our help?”

“Mr. Davies, that’s not how things should be said,” Kevin didn’t agree with Arthur, “Even if we don’t provoke him anymore, he won’t let us go easily anyway! We at least have an oral agreement with Ms. Webb. If you refuse to help us now, then no one will identify him.”
