Chapter 763
Chapter 763
Esther tumbled into Bradley's arms as though she had dropped from the sky. His scent, crisp as pine,
wrapped around her like an unyielding net.
Bradley clasped her slender waist, effortlessly drawing her into his world, from which escape seemed
impossible.
"Mr... Mr. Warner…" Jolene clutched her stomach and impatiently asked Bradley, who stood in the
wardrobe. "What you promised me..."
"I won't break my word," Bradley assured, then vanished into the wardrobe.
Jolene gently closed the wardrobe door, leaning against the wall before returning to the couch.
As she settled on the couch, regret washed over her. She realized her mistake. She shouldn't have
used herself as bait to lure Esther to the motel. She knew better than anyone that she had nothing left,
and Esther had come to see her out of concern. Nonetheless, she had ultimately betrayed Esther's
trust.
Jolene held her phone, trying to convince herself not to be soft-hearted. She told herself she had done
nothing wrong. What had she done wrong? She was just someone with no other options. She wanted
to avenge her parents.
Bradley had promised to assist her in that quest.
Chadwick had torn her family apart and pretended to be her savior for years—she harbored deep
hatred toward him. She wanted to see him suffer but lacked the power to do it alone, which was why
she needed Bradley's help.
Jolene remained motionless on the couch. It felt like a long time had passed.

Outside in the corridor.
Jasper noticed that Esther was taking a long time inside, so he knocked gently. "Esther."
The moment Jasper knocked, Jolene's heart seemed to stop beating.
"Esther!" There was no response from inside, so Jasper called her name again.
Still, there was no response. He knocked forcefully on the door and declared, "Esther, I'm counting to
three. If you don't open the door, I'm breaking it down!
"One.
"Two.
"Three."
The room remained tightly shut.
Jasper signaled to the bodyguard. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
The bodyguard understood and raised his foot to kick down the door.
Once Jasper entered the room, he found only Jolene inside. He quickly instructed the bodyguard,
"Hurry! Esther is in trouble!"
The bodyguard contacted his colleagues, and they searched the motel room's interior.
Jasper approached Jolene, smashing the ashtray on the table to the floor with a heavy thud.
Jolene was startled and clutched her belly as she moved away.
"Jolene, where is Esther?" Jasper demanded.
Jolene remained silent.
Jasper shouted, "If you weren't pregnant, I'd..."
"Mr. Searle, Ms. Quill was abducted from the wardrobe!" the bodyguard revealed.
"Jolene, I'll ask you one last time. Where did you hide Esther?"
Jolene stayed silent.
Jasper seethed with anger. "Do you think that by staying silent, we won't find out the truth? Do you
know why Esther was willing to come and see you when you asked for help, even though you barely
know each other?"
