My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 686

Chapter 686

"Mandy."

When Mandy awoke, she found Liora standing at the foot of her bed, holding a few outfits and gazing

at her.

"What's the matter?" Mandy asked.

"Didn't you mention that we're visiting your father today? Which outfit do you think is better?" Liora

asked.

Mandy casually pointed at one of the outfits. "The one on the far right."

Liora smiled with enthusiasm. "Your father always appreciated me dressing up elegantly..."

Mandy didn't really want to engage in conversation with Liora. She simply said, "Mom, if you don't hurry

and change, I won't be able to take you with me later."

"Alright, alright, I'll change right away."

Unlike Liora's meticulous dressing, Mandy chose a casual outfit. She wondered why Bradley hadn't

arrived yet and thought resentfully, 'Could it be that Bradley has met with an accident, maybe even

been struck by lightning and killed?'

She prepared herself and made a simple breakfast. Liora finally came downstairs, and simultaneously,

Bradley arrived.

"Get in the car," he ordered, and they headed to the detention center.

Bradley met Chadwick there.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Chadwick, once the arrogant heir of Capitus, had offended many people in the past. With Richard's

decline and no one to protect him, he was now facing retribution from his former opponents.

Bradley coldly gazed at Chadwick, whose arms hung limply, and asked, "Pendleton, how doed it feel to

have your hands broken?"

"Bradley Warner!" Chadwick glared at Bradley, his teeth clenched, and said arrogantly, "You'd better kill

me. Otherwise, as long as I can breathe, I'll bite you to death!"

"Pendleton, you won't be able to do that." Bradley hadn't forgotten how Chadwick had threatened

Esther with his severed hand. He replied coldly, "How long do you think you can survive with so many

enemies?"

"Bradley Warner!" Chadwick roared in frustration.

Bradley observed Chadwick's swollen and bruised face, evidently the result of a beating. "Pendleton,

I've always understood right from wrong. Just as you treated me in the past, I will reciprocate."

Chadwick seethed.

Bradley maintained an indifferent gaze while clenching his fists. "Rest assured, Pendleton, I'll look after

your sister and biological mother."

Chadwick kicked the table, causing it to crash loudly to the floor.

Unperturbed, Bradley glanced at Chadwick and taunted, "Until next time, Pendleton."

With a gesture from Bradley, someone stepped forward to escort Chadwick away.

Shortly after, Richard took a seat across from Bradley.

Overnight, Richard had transformed from the pinnacle of glory into a weathered old man.

"Honey!" Liora called out sweetly. "Why do you look so old?"

Richard glanced at the teary-eyed Liora and offered her comfort, his concern evident. "I'm fine, Mandy.

Please take care of your mother."

Liora hurried toward Richard, gripping his hand tightly, seemingly oblivious to Bradley and Mandy. She

displayed a playful, childlike demeanor. "Honey... When are you coming home? I miss you so much!"

"Mandy, please, escort her out of here," Bradley said.

Liora was reluctant to depart and clung to Richard's hand, unwilling to release it.

"Mom, Bradley is handling something important. Your presence here is causing a disturbance."

Liora exchanged a glance with Richard, who advised, "Listen to Mandy and wait for me outside."

After Mandy successfully ushered Liora out of the meeting room, Bradley got straight to the point with

Richard. "Mr. Pendleton, let's make a deal!"

Richard maintained an air of superiority. "What kind of deal can we strike, given my current condition?"

Bradley's words were surprisingly harsh despite his casual tone. "Transfer your authority to me, and I'll

ensure your wife and daughter enjoy a worry-free life."
