CLARISSA’S P. O. V.
After parking my car in the parking lot, We both walked through the lobby towards the elevator. We stepped inside the elevator and reached the top floor where Mr. Mathew’s office was located, We both stepped out of the elevator and walked through the empty floor towards his office. Only the sounds of our heels filled the floor, it was so quiet and intimidating.
As Lydia pushed the door open, I saw Lillian, sitting on the sofa and staring at someone in front of her. I stepped inside and saw that tall man sitting on the sofa with his right leg over his left leg and a magazine in his hands.
Hearing me walking in, Mathew looked up at me, “Clarissa, please sit down, I need to talk about something!” He said folding the paper he was reading.
I nodded and sat down on the sofa next to Lillian, who was still gawking at that tall guy. I glanced at him and turned my complete attention towards Mathew, “That guy just tried to destroy my business, I don’t want to make this issue a scandal and media shouldn’t know anything about this arrest and the accusations he put on me, Clarissa I trust you can handle this!,” he said looking at me, I smiled and nodded my head.
He smiled at my gesture and turned his head towards Mr. Sexy who was looking back at him. “You know what to do,” he said, for which Mr. Sexy gave a small smile.
Mathew turned to me, “I need you both to work together to solve this problem okay,” he said and a bomb dropped in my heart. I glanced at Mr. Sexy who was not bothered about Mathew’s decision.
I quickly turned my head towards Mathew and cleared my throat and gained his attention.
“Mr. Mathew, I prefer working alone,” I said trying to make him change his decision, but the way Mathew dropped his smile I immediately understood that it’s his final decision and he’s not going to change that.
“I need you both to work together, I hope you understand Clarissa!” He said with a pleading look on his face.
I sighed, “Okay,” I said while I glanced at Mr. Sexy.
“Thank you,” he said, smiling at me and turning his head towards Mr. sexy.
“Did I introduce you both to each other?” he said looking at me and back at Mr. Sexy, however, he didn’t even glance at us.
I just stared at him without giving any response to his question, “Okay… Clarissa, this is Apollo,” he said pointing his hand towards him, “And Apollo this is Clarissa,” he introduced and to my surprise, Mr. Sexy acknowledged my presence for the first time. He turned his face towards me and gave a small smile, just moved his lips upwards. He was so attractive when he did that, it took me a sec to snap back to reality and smile back. He turned his head back to the magazine and ignored all of us.
“That’s it all for today, let me know if you need something,” Mathew said while walking around to his desk.
I nodded my head at him and turned around, As I walked towards my office Lydia followed me behind. I walked inside my office and sat down in my chair, my head began throbbing with pain. Mathew’s words were still running in my mind making me very irritated at the fact that I had to work with someone I don’t even know or heard about before.
I took a deep breath and tried to relax but this headache was increasing by the passing minute, “Lydia,” I whispered,
“Yeah…. Clarissa?… Are you okay?” she asked as she walked towards me and took my hand in hers,
“Can you get a cup of coffee for me, please,” I asked while holding my head with my two hands. As I touched my head, it was burning as it would explode at any moment. I began massaging my forehead with my fingers as I pulled the drawer and searched for the tablets, all of sudden my phone began ringing making my head hurt more because of the sound. I quickly grabbed the tablet sheet and took a tablet out. I reached the water bottle as I put the tablet inside my mouth and gulped it with water, I closed my eyes and placed my head on the table.
My phone began ringing again. Groaning, I reached for my mobile and answered it without looking at the caller id, “Hello?” I answered,
“Hello, Miss Green,” the other person replied and I immediately recognized the irritating voice of
Mr. Michele Williams.
Basically, he hates me and my guts, he calls wherever I get a famous person as my client and tries to scare me by saying that they may sue me if I do anything wrong. But his tries never worked, I simply ignored him whenever he tried to manipulate me.
“Congratulations!!” he said in a mocking way, I rolled my eyes and controlled myself not to snap at him as my headache just began fading and because of his irritating voice, it was coming back.
“I heard you got an offer to be personal publicist to Mr. Villin?” he said and can clearly feel the smirk on his face,
“Yeah,” I just replied.
“Well, That’s unfortunate don’t you think?” he said with a mocking laugh in addition to what he said, I just gritted my teeth.
“Why do you think so?” I simple asked while controlling myself,
“Don’t you know?… about The Villin’s?” I heard him say as I noticed Lydia walking inside with the cup of coffee and some cookies in her hands, looking at me her expression changed and worry was evident in her eyes.
I signaled her to put the cup and cookies on my desk, glancing at her worried face I smiled to let her know everything is okay.
While smiling back at me she turned around and walked out of my office, Michele was going on in my phone, he didn’t even release that I wasn’t listening to his bullshit.
“I can imagine your shocked face when you see Mathew with a gun in his hands standing in front of you,” he said while laughing like an idiot.
“I can manage that if it ever happens, how does that concern you anyway?” I asked while taking the cup from the table,
“No, actually I’m happy for you, you’ll now understand…” I was taking a sip of my coffee while listening to his bullshit,
“It’s not your cup of tea to handle people like him,” I leaned my body agonist my desk while taking a sip,This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Now comes the part of the manipulation, he never gets tired of doing this over and over again, it’s been a million times now and I always proved to him that I don’t care about my client’s background or how dangerous it could be to work with them when. My only focus was on their growth and publicity, it’s my job to help them get good publicity and growth in social media and other things and I only focus on that but nothing else.
Every single one with whom I worked with is famous now, I never got any negative remarks ever from anyone I was also praised for my hard work and dedication I put in to make my clients succeed in their respective fields. Michele knows how good I am at my work and still, he tries to scare me so that he could get the offer.
After me, Michele is the popular one in our PR firm, he doesn’t like the fact that I’m better than him and the offers I get are good ones compared to his. All these made him hate me, I don’t feel the way he feels about me, I don’t hate him or dislike him.
“I’m just trying to help you, Miss. Green as you know we both are of the same firm,” he replied,
Before he could start telling me more about Villins I cut him off, “Mr. Williams, I know you worry about me so much, I understand your concern, Trust me, Work is very important to me and no matter who I work with… So, If you excuse me… I have important things to do,” I said and immediately hang upon him.
I breathed out and tried to relax, I glanced at my phone, “Bastard, Why can’t you just focus on your work instead of mine?” I muttered while taking the last sip of my coffee.
I placed it on my desk and turned around, Looking at my phone I took a step ahead and hit my nose to a strong wall.
I looked up from my phone while rubbing my nose and saw it was not a wall rather it was a strong chest. I slowly looked up from his chest and gasped loudly while stepping back when his face came into my view.
