Chapter 93_ Wrong
Damien shook his head slowly when she didn’t give a response, a dry chuckle escaped his lips..
Just when he had thought that she was finally opening up to him, his lips curved up into a sardonic smile..
“I think I’m pressuring you a bit too much about all these..”
Olivia took a step forward for him to take one back, and in one swift, he walked in large strides to his car, he turned deaf ears to her calls..

Olivia cuddled up on her bed with the sheets over her face, for the first time, she felt remorseful for how she spoke to Damien earlier today..
She tucked her hand underneath her pillow taking out her phone, the screen lit up serving as the only source of light in the dark room..
After much hesitation, she sat up with her phone placed against her ear, it rang for a few seconds before it was disconnected at the other end..
She tried for a few more times but all to no avail, he wasn’t taking any of her calls, so she decided to text him instead..
Ten minutes passed by, and yet there was no reply from him..
“What were you thinking Olivia? you shouldn’t have said that to his face!” She scolded herself with a crumpled expression..
He might try to have a little revenge on her by increasing her workload tomorrow..
Meanwhile at the other end..
Anita placed a glass of warm milk on the table where Damien’s laptop lay, he came back a bit earlier than normal closing hours in a really bad mood..
She had to convince him to stay over just so she could keep an eye on him..
She felt this had something to do with Olivia..
“Honey.. I got you a glass of milk, just Incase you have a hard time falling asleep okay?”
Damien strode out of the bathroom fully dressed in his black PJs, he wiped his dampened hair with a towel after which he threw it on the bed..
“Oh.. I guess I don’t need that mum.. I’m working till late in the night”
“Nonsense!” She declared picking up the glass of milk, she walked to him and handed the glass of milk to him..
“Tell me what’s wrong baby.. I know you’re in a bad mood”
Damien accepted the glass of milk or else he might go deaf in the next coming second, He just failed to understand why she does that to him every single time..
And funny enough, he couldn’t sit back and watch her cry, he’d feel terrible..
His mum guided him to sit on the bed which he did, she took a sit next to him with a soft glare directed at the side of his face..
He tried as much as possible not to look to her direction, but he failed really hard..
“Mum can you please stop doing that? I’m no longer your little Damien alright?”
Anita chuckled pulling both sides of his cheeks teasingly mumbling some babyish words which made him roll his eyes hard..
“Yes you are!”
His phone resting on the bed lit up gaining Anita’s attention, she reached for it by stretching a little..
“Hey look.. it’s a text from Olivia”
The glass froze on Damien’s lips as his mum scrolled through his phone in delight..
He noticed her expression changed a little just as he was expecting of her..
“Several missed calls and texts and you didn’t return any? is there something wrong between you both?”
“Nothing mum.. I’m feeling very sleepy..”
Anita stared at him blankly for a while before giving a stiff nod, she knew something was off with his attitude and she decided to brush it off, sooner or later he’d eventually open up to her, that was how close they were..
“Alright baby.. goodnight” she planted a kiss on his forehead before leaving the room, in a swift, she was pulled out of Damien’s door to her bedroom..
She snapped Aldrin a mean gaze as soon as he smiled at her..Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“Hey wifey.. it’s a good thing that he decided to sleep on time.. how about you accompany your other baby to the bed?”
She threw a light punch to his chest with a loud huff..
“Grow up you oldie!”

A sigh escaped Olivia’s lips, she sneaked glances at Damien who hadn’t spared her a look all day, he didn’t give her any orders or do anything to strike up a conversation with her..
His nonchalant behavior towards her was her fault too..
Her phone beeped by her side taking her out of her daze, it was a text from an unknown number, she tapped on it hesitantly..
Before she could reply the ‘Are you free text’ a call came in from that same number..
Her ringtone caught Damien’s attention, he snuck a peek at her, Heavens knew how hard it had been for him ignoring her since today..
Olivia pressed the phone against her ear and murmured in a hushed tone..
“Hello?”
Her brows furrowed on hearing the male voice at the background..
“Jacob?!” She screeched..
Damien’s hand holding a pen ready to sign a document stopped midway when he heard the name she called out..
He snapped his head to her direction where she was speaking in a hushed tone before she placed her phone into her purse…
His gaze dropped back to the document he was about signing a moment ago..
Meanwhile at the other end…
Olivia picked up her PC and stood up from her seat, she strode out from her small office to Damien’s side..
“Umm” she cleared her throat “Boss.. can you check this out? I’m finding this a little difficult to understand.. the bar here shows green and-
Bella burst in through the door with a brown envelope on her hands..
“Boss.. I got them replaced with a new one.. I hope you like this one this time”
Damien accepted the envelope, he was about to open it when he noticed Olivia was still by his side, he kept it aside and dismissed Bella who left immediately..
“And how is this my fault Mrs Parker?” He questioned rising up to his feet..
Olivia was taken aback, did he just address her so formally?
“But i-
Damien straightened his suit jacket and walked past her brushing his arm against hers..
“Are you trying to get back at me Damien? I was wrong to say that.. I’m sorry”
He stopped on his tracks before turning back to her once more..
“Are you one of those who thinks the word ‘Sorry’ fixes every single thing?”
She placed her laptop on his desk walking a few steps to him with a solemn expression..
“I’m sorry for saying that to you but I’m not sorry about what I feel your intentions are.. I hope you understand me clearly?”
He held her arm and in a swift motion, she felt his desk pressing behind her..
His grey orbs which held anger at the moment pinned her down, she froze staring into his darkened face..
“My intentions has always been for you to accept me into yours and Kelvin’s life.. but sadly you chose to believe what a random guy said.. and what exactly did you say to me yesterday? I can’t have another child? why don’t I prove it to you right here huh?”
Olivia’s eyes rounded, she shook her head slowly to his words..
Right here? and now?
