Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 430

Chapter 430

What a shame that such a wonderful girl had to counter someone like Chyler. Moe’s gaze rested on Cynthia, a hint of something more lurking in his otherwise cool eyes. “I feel the same,” he said.

“Hmm?”

“I feel bad for you.”

The four words were spoken with utter sincerity. His boss, Cynthia, deserved nothing but the best. A surprise flitted across Cynthia’s face, quickly followed by a soft smile. Her heart warmed.

“Boss,” Mne intoned each time he addressed her with such gravity.

“What is it?” Cynthia asked.

“Although I have said it before, I would like to offer you some advice. If you ever decide to get married, please consider all aspects. Ideally, let me help you screen your prospects,” Moe began.

“Alright,” Cynthia agreed

At her acquiescence, a subtle shift appeared in Moe’s mood, yet it faded as quickly as it appeared, replaced with his usual cool demeanor. Without any further delay, they made their way to the location arranged by Kendrick

It was a leisurely holiday resort. Upon their arrival, only Kendrick, Shirley, Jonathan, and Mitchell Jimmy were present. Cynthia was taken aback upon seeing them

“Why are you here?” Her questioning gaze turned toward Kendrick. Was this not supposed to be a team–building event? Why were Mitchell and Jimmy present too?

Mitchell and Jimny exchanged glances before the former spoke, “Kendrick invited us to come.” NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

Cynthia looked at them, waiting for an explanation.

Kendrick, dressed in casual attire, looked incredibly handsome as he explained, “The invitation to the team building was a ruse; the tearn went elsewhere. Shirley and Uncle Jonathan felt that you might be upset recently and thought it would be good for you to unwind.”

Given Cynthia’s temperament, had they invited her outright to relax, she would have brushed them off, insisting she was fine. No one going through a divorce would feel completely unaffected. They had not brought it up before as the timing did not seem right, and with Cynthia just divorced, she might not have been interested. Now, however, the time seemed right.

“Sis, since we’re here, let’s just have fun today.”

“Cyn, you do need to unwind.”

“Cynthia, it’s rare for your sister to be so concerned about you. You mustn’t let her good intentions go to waste.”

“What do you mean by it’s rare for me to be concerned about my sister! Jimmy, clarify what you mean.”

“What’s this ‘Jimmy‘? Call me ‘Brother Jimmy“!”

Before long. Jimmy and Shirley were a tangle of laughter and playful justling. Jonathan and Kendrick exchanged a glance, deciding to leave the younger ones to themselves.

gu check on Shirley and the others; you guys chat amongst yourselves.”

“Alright.”

Everyone agreed, and with that, Jonathan took his leave. He initially considered asking Cyn’s personal assistant to step out as well. However, understanding the strong bond between Cyn and her assistant, he decided against it. It seemed that Cyn shares a pleasant relationship with her assistant.

“Let’s go. There’s a sea of flowers over there that’s quite pleasant. It even has a pavilion,” Mitchell suggested, taking the lead. Without any abjections, they all followed.

Initially, Mitchell and Kendrick engaged Cynthia in casual conversation and light–hearted jokes, gradually putting her at ease. As time passed, however, their focus shifted to Moe, who had remained silent since their arrival.
