Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 273

Chapter 273

Moe glanced at the quiet Cynthia through the rearview mirror and asked, “Ms. Yates, is something bothering you?

Cynthia leaned back against the seat, rubbed her weary forehead, and replied, “No, you don’t have to pretend to be my boyfriend anymore. I talked to joshua about it last night.”

“Alright.”

Cynthia felt a bit exhausted and closed her eyes to rest.

The meeting with Alfred reminded her of some distant memories.

She did not belong to the military; she was just a civilian. Hence, she could return when the captain needed her and return to her everyday life when she was not needed.

It had been a long time since her last mission.

The car continued driving, and Moe noticed that Cynthia seemed off today. Instead of taking her to the company, he brought her back home–the home with Jonathan and Shirley.

Cynthia did not say much.

Upon arriving, she went upstairs to sleep. Today, only she and Jonathan were home, as Shirley had already returned to school.

After handing over the company to Kendrick, Jonathan spent most of his time at home. Sometimes, he would accompany that person over there.

“Cyn,” he gathered courage and called out as she went upstairs.

Shirley had mentioned that to establish a good relationship with Cynthia.

Cynthia stopped and looked down, her hand gripping the railing. “What’s the matter?”

“Can we sit down and chat?” Jonathan’s expression carried a hint of hesitation and caution. “It’s been a very long time since we sat together, talked, and watched TV.”

Upon hearing his words, Cynthia froze.

Memories of Jonathan watching TV with her as a child and his recent attempts at cooking despite his lack of skill automatically came to Cynthia’s mind

Despite being upset with him because of what had happened before, she decided to go downstairs.

Jonathan felt remorseful toward Cynthia’s mother, but he had become a good father.

Seeing her coming downstairs, his heart felt at ease, and he also thought Shirley’s suggestion was indeed good.

“There’s something I’d like to discuss and get your opinion on Should we disclose your identity? If we do, I can host a banquet,” Jonathan said with a hint of nervousness, pursing his lips.

He did not want what Michelle had said before to happen again. After all, his beloved daughter should not be subjected to defamation

“There’s no need for a special announcement, but we don’t need to conceal it deliberately. Let’s just go with the flow,” Cynthia replied

“I see.” Jonathan’s mood became a little gloomy. He still wanted people to know about his two precious daughters, both of whom were exceptional.

They continued to chat about other topics, but as they approached the end of their conversation, Jonathan suddenly remembered something he wanted to say but was afraid to.

He besitated and stumbled over his words for a moment,

Cynthia noticed and asked, “Is there something else?”

“Yes, there is,” Jonathan finally managed to say.

“What is it?”

“Well…” Jonathan struggled to get the words out. He could not imagine the consequences of saying this aloud, and he feared that the fragile progress they had made in their father–daughter relationship would once again be strained. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

However, this matter had been lingering for some time, and it would not be wise to keep putting it off.

After hesitating for a while without a colerent response, Cynthia already had a rough idea and directly said, “Are you planning to many Michelle’s mother?”

Jonathan was shocked!
