Chapter 2 Cute Girl VS Vampire Lord
Chapter 2 Cute Girl VS Vampire Lord
All of a sudden, a luxurious and exquisite carriage stopped in front of the school's gate. The
appearance of the carriage brought upon the excited voices of the other girls nearby.
"Isn't that Mr. Brice?" "Oh my God! It's really him!" The girls ran in Anne and Hurst's direction like a
pack of hungry wolves.
"Mr. Brice?" Anne was a little stunned. 'Who are they talking about?
Are they talking about my brother?' Thinking of this, Anne couldn't believe how many fans her brother
had. For a while, she thought about how troublesome it would be if she was caught out in public with
him.
Just then, Hurst's voice made her come back to her senses.
"Anne, move!" he shouted. "What..."
However, it was much too late.
Before Anne could even blink, the crazy girls rushed past her in a flurry. One of the girls bumped into
her forcefully, making Anne fall down on the ground.
‘Ow! That hurt, damn it! Who did that?' Anne grunted to herself. Meanwhile, Hurst was trying to look
over the swarm of people to find his sister.
"Anne! Where are you?" he called out anxiously as he craned his neck over the crowd.
There was no way that Hurst could see her since she was still on the ground. It seemed as if the wave
of girls wasn't coming to an end.
'What's going on? Is this an all-girls school? Why are there so many girls?’ Anne thought.
A moment later, the crowd parted in two, forming a clear pathway right in the middle of the road.
'What's going on now?’ Anne wondered.
When she tried to get up, she was unable to because of how sore her bottom was. Besides, she
wanted to have a word with this so-called Mr. Brice.
After all, his relentless fans literally almost ran over her!
What could've possibly been so great about this guy? Looking around, Anne saw how the crazy girls
looked and squealed at the sight of Brice Luo.
He was one of the four most charming students in the Royal Magic School.
Closely following behind him were Dent Mo, Ennis Han, and Frey Xiao.
As Brice Luo approached the campus gate, he saw Anne in her pink attire, sitting right in the middle of
the road and blocking his way.
"Fuck off!" he sneered at her. He had been in a bad mood all day long. Now that there was someone
standing in his way, he couldn't help but grow angrier with impatience.
"I'm sorry but I won't," Anne declared as she stood up from the ground. Now that she came face to face
with him, she straightened her back and squared her shoulders, looking at him directly in the eye.
However, as soon as she laid her eyes on his face, Anne couldn't help but quietly gasp in surprise.
Brice Luo was undeniably handsome!
However, it appeared that he had an ill temper. Because of this, no matter how good looking Brice Luo
might have been, Anne felt that her brother was still more attractive -- Hurst was gentle and kind, and
because of that, it made him all the more appealing. There were times, of course, that he wasn't kind,
especially when he called Anne an 'idiot'. But other than that, he was definitely a better man than Brice
Luo was.
"Y-you...!" Brice Luo stammered, fury flashing in his purple eyes. This was the first time a girl had ever
come in his way!
"So you're the Mr. Brice everyone's been crazy about? Can I just ask you something? Why are you
cocky and arrogant?" Anne said, her eyes full of malice.
For a moment, all the other people around were lulled into silence as they held their breaths. In the
bottom of their hearts, they were deeply worried about Anne and how this whole ordeal would turn out.
What was she doing? Was she asking for a death wish? How could she provoke the great Vampire
Lord, Brice Luo!?
Of course, Anne had no idea who she was dealing with. Offending Brice Luo was like she was also
offending all the other students from the Night Department. Once the students of the Night Department
went against her, she was basically as good as dead. What was more, anyone who was acquainted
with Anne would probably be in danger as well.
"Are you really trying to court death? I wouldn't mind sucking up your blood right now," Brice Luo
remarked coldly as he slowly walked closer to Anne.
"Why would you do something like that? Do you have a thing for blood? Or are you really just some
kind of creep?" Anne taunted. As Brice approached her, Anne staggered backwards. The closer he got,
the more she felt that she was in danger.
'Shit.
Is he really going to... What a bully!
Brother! Where are you?’ Anne thought to herself.
She frantically looked around the crowd for Hurst, tears starting to well in her eyes.
"Stop!" A voice suddenly called out from behind Brice.
Turning around, Brice stared coldly at the direction the voice came from. It was Hurst.
‘Brother...’

"Hurst, he... He was being such a mean bully," Anne whined as she pointed at Brice.
Hearing this, Brice's mouth curled up into a devilish smile. He looked up and down at Hurst, his interest
starting to grow.
At this moment, he started to wonder what kind of ability this boy might had.
Slowly, Hurst walked to Brice. Then, much to Anne's surprise, he bowed to him!
"I'm sorry for what she did to you just now. Please let her go and we can all just put this behind us,"
Hurst said in a solemn voice. There was so much remorse in his voice and eyes that Anne couldn't
believe what was happening!
‘B-brother...? He... What is he doing? Is he really...
Apologizing to this jerk?' Anne thought.
Her eyes widened and she looked at Hurst in confusion.
‘Doesn't he care that his sister was getting bullied earlier? He should at least do his duty as my brother,
right?
I didn't do anything wrong.
Why does Hurst have to apologize?!'
"Okay, I'll let her go today for your sake, but next time--" "Yes, don't worry!" Hurst interrupted, cutting off
Brice's cold and threatening words.
"She won't be a problem. I will take good care of her," he added with a faint smile. The last thing he
wanted for Anne was to get into unnecessary trouble like this. Her safety was one of the utmost
importance for him.
Seeing his sincere attitude, Brice didn't say anything more. Then he turned around and walked towards
Anne arrogantly.
Seeing the anger and fury in Anne's eyes, Brice snorted. 'Little girl, you'd better not let me see you next
time, otherwise...'
With a sly smile at the corners of his mouth, he walked past Anne.
Glaring at his receding figure, Anne stuck her tongue out at him. 'Humph! I'd better not see that jerk
again. Otherwise, I'll make sure that he'll suffer!
Humph!’
"Anne, shall we go to the dormitory now?" Hurst said in a soft voice as he walked to her side, gently
holding her hand.
"Hurst, why didn't you go after that guy?!" Anne stamped her feet with resentment as she pouted at him
like a spoiled child.
'It's like I don't even matter to him! From now on, I will never think of him as my brother!' she swore in
her heart.
"Idiot. There are some things you don't understand yet." Hurst turned around and gently patted the top
of her head.
"What are you trying to say?" Anne pressed stubbornly. Two years from now, she would be turning 18,
which technically made her an adult. Despite this, Hurst had a habit of treating her like a young,
thoughtless, little girl.
"Never mind, silly girl. Let's go! You'd want to tidy up first before the opening ceremony later in the
evening." Hand in hand, the two siblings went further into the campus grounds.
The longer Anne stayed there, the more confused she felt about this place. All of the signs were so
small that it was almost impossible to understand what was written on them. She could already feel that
she would be having a hard time navigating around by herself.
Without another word, she followed closely behind Hurst. Soon after, they stopped in front of an old
building.
‘Is...this really the dormitory? Why are all the buildings in this school so depressing!?
There's nothing 'royal' about this Royal Magic School at all!' Anne thought. A strong, dark aura
surrounded the dormitory, making her feel very much on edge.
Everything about that building screamed danger. A normal person would think twice before going inside
because it looked like it would fall apart at any given second! Once she stepped in, she feared that she
might never make it out alive anymore.
"Well, this is the dormitory! Let's go inside!" Hurst announced in a delightful tone as he urged Anne
forward.
"Wait! Are we really going to enter this building?" Anne asked, her voice trembling with fear as she
pulled back his hand.
"Of course, idiot!" He stretched out his hand and flicked her temple.
"Was that really necessary?" Anne complained, rubbing her head.
"Fine. I'm going in. If you don't want to, just stay outside!" After saying that, Hurst walked into the
dormitory with his hands in his pockets.
For a couple of seconds, Anne hesitated on whether or not she should follow him. Just when he was
about to disappear from her sight, she hurriedly called after him, "Hurst, wait for me!" Running quickly,
she came back to her brother's side and grabbed tightly onto his arm.
As soon as they step foot inside, Hurst waved his hand lazily, making the candles around them light up
faintly.
Now that Anne could properly see inside, her mouth widened in awe. "Wow! It's so beautiful here!" The
room they were in was in an ancient European style -- elegant and timeless.
"Didn’t you say that you didn’t want to come in here just a minute ago?" Hurst teased with a light-
hearted laugh as he nudged at Anne's side.
