“I’m sure!” Margaret said. The second her words fell, Gideon carried her out of the car. Margaret subconsciously placed her hands on Gideon’s shoulders before noticing the teasing looks of others around her.

“Put me down!” Margaret said anxiously, not wanting to be well-known in the city tomorrow.

As an excellent media person, Margaret even thought out several headlines that could feature on the gossip news tomorrow. However, each was inseparable from the words “the other woman” and “mistress,”

Gideon continued carrying Margaret into the restaurant as if he hadn’t heard what she said. The restaurant protected the privacy of its guests well, with security guards stationed around to ensure no reporters could snap pictures secretly. Otherwise, all those rich and powerful people wouldn’t dare to bring their partners there.

However, the lack of reporters didn’t mean the place was completely safe. If Gideon could go there, so would the people of the same class. For example, Ethan Jenkins, a longtime admirer of Roxanne,Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Ethan recently hooked up with a D-list celebrity, Amelia. As she shared similar features with Roxanne, he had become so obsessed with her that he recently helped her secure a role in a web drama and now brought her there to celebrate.

It was all just an act to make her happy so that Ethan could also get something that made him happy. However, he never anticipated her to be quite a lucky star to let him catch this scene.

Although Margaret buried her face in Gideon’s chest, it didn’t prevent Ethan from recognizing her. Five years ago, he had repeatedly heard Roxanne mention Margaret’s name, and as time went by, he curiously checked Margaret’s background.

Perhaps it was because Ethan had seen too many photos of Margaret that he remembered her appearance and silhouette.

Ethan took out his phone and whistled as he snapped a photo of Gideon and Margaret. While sending it to Roxanne via WhatsApp, he boldly added a caption: [Are your man and his lover going to rekindle their relationship?]

Roxanne was initially shopping happily, but upon seeing the photo, she blew her top and called him immediately.

Amelia stared at the caller ID showing “Beloved Roxanne,” feeling utterly displeased. She was ready to whine and forbid Ethan from answering the phone, but she was dazzled by his smile and instantly realized how ridiculous she was. ‘It’s just a deal to get what we each desire, yet I fell in love,’ she thought.

Ethan didn’t care about Amelia’s thoughts and answered the call directly, unwilling to let Roxanne wait any longer.

“Where are you?” Roxanne asked angrily.

“What’s the matter? Want to catch him cheating on you?” Ethan said jokingly. He truly didn’t understand what was so great about Gideon. Gideon is only an illegitimate child. Even though the Compton family is powerful and they’ve acknowledged him, how many upper-class people genuinely respect him? If it’s about looks, I’m not bad either. Plus, I’m so attentive toward Roxanne. I don’t understand why Roxanne only has eyes for Gideon and allows her emotions to be led by him, but he refuses to spare me a second glance, he thought.

Ethan hoped Margaret and Gideon would rekindle their relationship, which meant he had a new opportunity

“No. I’m only going to have dinner with a friend,” Roxanne said coldly as she calmed down slightly. However, her grip on her phone was getting tighter. If it were Margaret’s neck she was holding, she would’ve crushed it long ago,

“May I ask who this friend is?” Ethan asked. He suddenly liked Gideon, as he would’ve had trouble inviting Roxanne out for a meal if it hadn’t been for the latter.

“Asking the obvious, aren’t you? Who else could it be but you?” she said.

10, 20

“Are you permitting it? But won’t you leave me to fight your love rival alone when the time comes?” Ethan said, his eyes sparkling, like a teenager in love.

“Yes, now give me the address,” Roxanne promised.
