Chapter 336 Back To JA City Temporarily (Part One)
Chapter 336 Back To JA City Temporarily (Part One)
Upon hearing Noah's threatening statement, Carla felt a bit unsettled as she awkwardly grabbed the
bowl and chopsticks he was handing over to her.
She didn't want Noah to take her purity away. When all was said and done, that was the only thing she
had left at that very moment.
If that were to happen, the only glimmer of hope she was holding on to would be lost completely.
The only reason Carla decided to stay with the Hua family was that she could take back the things
which she thought were rightfully hers. Deep in her mind, she was thinking that only by having those
things would she finally be worthy of marrying Terence. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Be that as it may, if it weren't for Terence, she wouldn't have had any reason to persevere.
After making sure that Carla would be willing to eat it, Noah left.
During her stay there, Carla mostly spent her days just lounging at home. Given that there was nothing
else she could do, it was as though she was a zombie mindlessly roaming around the house. But in
any case, she wasn't the type of person who could just stay in one place for too long. Just until a few
weeks ago, she rarely ever got out due to having an injured leg. But this time, despite being fully
capable of going for a stroll, she didn't want to go anywhere because she wasn't in the mood to do so.
And it wasn't really like Noah was completely without conscience. Other than the fact that he was
checking up on her every morning and evening to know if Carla was eating on time and not starving
herself, he had never really forced her into doing something she didn't really want to.
She had just been staying in for about two weeks. In the span of half a month, she couldn't really bring
herself to call Terence and talk to him so easily. So, mustering up the courage to do it was not an
simple task.
The truth was that she was just so eager to genuinely have a chat with him.
But in spite of that, she couldn't get through to Terence. She wasn't able to reach him. No matter how
many times she tried, she just failed to do so every single time.
Then, it suddenly dawned to her that Terence could've probably blocked her number or it was also
quite possible that he had already changed his telephone number.
Silently pondering to herself, she thought, 'It's been so long since I've heard from him. Could he still be
mad at me?
Or does he have some other reason for ignoring me?
Is he just going to give me the cold shoulder from now on? Is he planning to leave me?'
With all of those ideas running in circles through her head, Carla couldn't find time to relax. Her injured
leg had been feeling better for a while now, and it couldn't stop her from going wherever she wanted
any longer. She could move around by herself just fine.
However, it was already much too late to be going out tonight, so she had no choice but to wait until the
sun came up tomorrow morning.
On the following day, Carla woke up early, got up and packed several sets of clothes. And without
wasting any time, she immediately left the villa to go to JA City without thinking twice.
As luck would have it, HA City wasn't really that far from JA City. Granted that the fare for the ride was
a bit pricey, taking a taxi would be the best option for Carla to get there quickly.
Upon her arrival in JA City, she intended to stop by the Seaview Villa before doing anything else. It was
on a Sunday morning, so she wanted to visit Sean, assuming that he might be at home.
Sadly, things didn't always go the way people planned them to be.
As soon as Carla stepped foot inside the villa, she found out that Sean wasn't there.
"Miss Carla, I am really sorry but Sean has already been staying at the boarding school for about ten
days now. And he didn't come home this Sunday,"
Sophie informed Carla, feeling so guilt-ridden.
Truth be told, even Sophie herself wasn't aware what made Terence decide to send Sean to the
boarding school. When he made the decision to do that, every person among the servants in the
Seaview Villa felt so baffled. But it wasn't like they could say anything, so they just kept quiet.
"Boarding school? What do you mean?"
Carla stopped in her tracks. It took a while before she could come to her senses. She knew full well
that no matter what could've happened in the past, Terence could never take it out on Sean. But this
time, he even went ahead and sent Sean to a boarding school.
At the thought of that, she realized that Terence might still be so upset at the moment.
"Well, at least I know now. Sophie, thank you for being honest with me," Carla replied, obviously feeling
so down in the dumps. Upon saying that, she promptly turned her back to leave. But before she could
head out, she shifted her gaze over to the interior of the villa. And at that point, she realized that the
guardrail Terence had installed for her had been gone completely.
"Miss Carla..."
As she watched Carla walking toward the gate, Sophie abruptly stopped her, albeit reluctantly.
Hearing Sophie calling out to her, Carla turned around once more to look at her, seeming to show a bit
of confusion in her round eyes.
"Miss Carla, are you going to come and look for Mr. Terence?" Sophie hesitantly asked.
"Yes, that's what I was planning to do. How is he doing now?" Carla asked, with a hint of bitterness in
her voice.
Sophie knew full well just how much Carla loved Terence. For that reason, she didn't have it in her to
watch silently as the two of them hurt each other. So, looking away for a bit, she heaved a heavy sigh
and told her, "Miss Carla, I think it would be better if you don't bother trying to find Mr. Terence. I am
afraid that you will just end up hurting yourself."
As soon as she was done giving her a piece of her mind, she went back inside the villa, shaking her
head, feeling so helpless.
Because Carla couldn't really understand what she meant by that, she still went ahead and hailed a
taxi to go to the AJ Building.
Before everything that happened, Carla could just go back and forth into the AJ Building with ease.
That being said, when she finally got there, the guards wouldn't let her into the building no matter what
she tried to say to them.
So, she thought of calling Rainer and Nathan to ask for their help, but somehow, the calls weren't going
through. She wasn't expecting anything like that whatsoever, leading her to think that it must have been
Terence who ordered them to place her in the blacklist of their phones.
Given that there wasn't really any other way for her to get inside the building, she had no other choice
but to wait in front of the gate of the AJ Building.
Despite persistently waiting outside the gate for quite a long time, she never even saw Terence exit the
building. Because of that, she came to the realization that he might not have shown up in the company
that day.
"Hello, is this Theo? Do you know where Terence could be right now?"
After contemplating about it for a while, Theo suddenly came to her mind. And luckily for her, she was
able to get through to him.
