CHAPTER 26

Chapter 26 Chapter 26 “What if I get drunk, hmm? Will y you carry me home?” ::85% Drink all you want, wife, and leave the rest to me. I will take care of it Summer’s eyes were brimmed with tears as those words echoed in her head. She would never have to worry about getting drunk back then, because he was always there to take care of her. “It’s not worth it. Summer. Don’t think about that jerk,” She scoffed and rolled her eyes as she took another sip yet again. She was hoping this pain will go away, she was hoping she would stop thinking about him if she tried not to, but in the end, it turned out that she was only deceiving herself. This man had taken over all of her thoughts and it’s driving her nuts. “Hunter will be here to take care of you. You can drink all you want,” She told herself as she gulped down the content of the glass. Unable to hold back her tears, she allowed them trickle down the corner of her cheeks. “Why did you do that, Xander? Why didn’t you listen to me? I never cheated on you… It never crossed my mind to do that. You were the only man my heart belonged to. Why did you do that?” She whimpered silently, her fingers tucked in her hair. “What are you doing? Why are you crying because of that bummer? He’s not worth it. F u cking get yourself together, Summer. That man is not worth it,” She scolded herself silently, resenting herself for still thinking about him, but can she help it? It was easy to fall head over heels for this man, but over the years, it hasn’t been easy to fall out of love with him. The sound of her ringing phone disrupted her, and a scoff tore through her throat when she checked and saw that it was Hunter. “What does he want? Calling me now after an hour of waiting, huh?” She rolled her eyes and tossed her phone on the table. “F u ck!” She cursed out loudly, slamming her hands on the table. Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Why did I agree to come out here? Why the f u ck am I here?” Her legs were so weak to carry her as she tried to stand on them. I’m not drunk… I’m not drunk…” 5 blinked her eyes and shook her head briefly, trying to shake off the dizziness in her eyes. “You can’t be drunk here, Summer… You need to go home, ok?” Even amid her eyes spinning and her weak legs, she still managed to stand up. “Where is my phone?” She muttered as she opened her purse. “Where the hell is my phone? Why is everything playing tricks on me?”Frustration resounded in her voice, more tears streamed down her cheeks as sho sta gg ered back and forth. “F u ck!” Unable to maintain her balance, Summer had slumped back on the chair, “Where the hell is this thing? Why is everything turning against me?” She cursed out, sinking her fingers deep into her hair, frustrated. “You shouldn’t have come here. You should’ve just f uc king stayed back at home. You shouldn’t have,” Just then, her phone started on ring on the table, and she let out a sigh. “You were here?” She muttered as she reached for it. Even though she was drunk, it wasn’t so deep not to see that Hunter was the one calling, and he was the last person she wanted to hear from at that moment. “Just stop calling my phone! D a mn your” She yelled at the top of her lungs as she managed to stand up. “You need to go home, Summer. You need to go home,” With those words in her mouth, she reached for her purse and took out her car keys. Chapter 26 “Where is the way again?” Her voice came out weakly as she looked around her, trying to find her way out, but her eyes were too weak to figure it out “S h it! I shouldn’t have drink that. This is exhausting.” She mumbled as she managed to stand up again, but st agg ered back. Summer had lost all hope, thinking she was going to crash against the floor since she couldn’t hold herself together, but crashed against a hard surface instead.

“Goodness! That was close,” she mumbled as she ran her finger through her hair. “I will take you hom, Summer,” Came the familiar voice she would never forget even in her grave. It was Xander’s. “Xander. Her voice came out in a whisper, trying to figure out if she didn’t misheard the voice, or maybe she was just hallucinating. Well, anything was possible since she couldn’t stop herself from thinking about him. “Come here,” Came the masculine voice again as whoever it was, swept her off her feet. His scent was familiar, the hardness of his chest was f u cking familiar, and the feeling this moment was giving her, was something she could easily connect to her moment with Xander back then even though she was so drunk right now. “It’s not him…. It can’t be him.” She tried to shrug off the thought that it was him, trying to convince herself that she must be hallucinating as a result of the alcohol. There was no way Xander could be there she kept telling herself. “Xander… Is that really you?” Her eyes were partly opened as she looked up at his blurry familiar face. “You should get some sleep. You look tired,” His passionate voice sounded like soothing music to her ear, and just like that, her eyes slowly went closed. Xander walked elegantly down the corridor of the restaurant with her in his arms, looking so hot as always, and of course they looked good together. “Tell your manager thanks for today. I will pay him back for this favour,” He stopped at the counter and told the guy from earlier before exiting the restaurant He tucked her in the front seat of his car and fastened the seatbelt as soon as he arrived at the parking lot where he had parked his car earlier. Slowly, he squatted down beside her outside the car, and cupped her cheek in his palm as he stared at her beautiful innocent face. He should never have let her go. He should’ve hold on to her as though his life depended on it.

“I missed you,” He couldn’t hold those words back anymore. Even when he believed she had cheated on him, he desperately wanted to say those words to her. He wanted to tell her how da mn much he had longed for her, how he always wished she was there with him in every second of his life over the years that they had separated. How his life had never remained the same again after that night. “I won’t let you go this time, Summer… You will forgive me, and we will get back together. I will earn your forgiveness,” His lips moved slowly and gently as he uttered those words. Deep inside him, he knew that was not going to be busy; but f u ck that word ‘easy’ because he was going to sail through an ocean and walk through fire just to get her back. “You are mine, Summer, and I will have you,” His thumb rubbed gently against her check as a small hopeful smile formed on his lips… 色
