Chapter 967: After all, public opinion is formidable
Regarding Brandon's words, Zane didn't refute them. It was true that he and Yanis hadn't really been to
the Thompson family much since they got together. Besides, they didn't go through the same process
as Brandon and Sandy, who had followed the traditional procedures before making their relationship
public. So, Zane truly had no experience to share with Brandon.
The news of Sandy's pregnancy was almost common knowledge by now. As they were about to get
into the car, a crowd of people suddenly surged over-Sandy's fans. Brandon instinctively pulled Sandy
closer, sheltering her in his embrace.
Yanis reacted quickly, promptly opening the car door to let Sandy and Brandon get in first. Then she
exchanged a glance with Zane, and both of them swiftly got into the car.
However, even though they were inside the car, they couldn't leave immediately. The vehicle was
surrounded by the crowd.
Frowning slightly at the crowd surrounding the car, Zane took out his phone and dialed a number,
arranging for Albi to contact the airport staff and have security clear the way. As he was talking on the
phone, someone approached the car and knocked on the window.
Zane lowered the window to see who it was. It turned out to be Hiruma, who removed his cap as a sign
of respect. "Mr. Lawrence, you can leave now."
Sandy recognized Hiruma instantly, "Why are you here? Is Anthony with you?"
Hiruma turned his gaze towards the interior of the car, "Miss Thompson, Anthony isn't in Manchester
City."Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
After hearing Hiruma's response, Sandy didn't say anything more. She thanked him for his help earlier,
intending to treat Anthony to a meal when he returned.
Hiruma smiled, "Miss Thompson, Anthony won't mind missing that meal."
After exchanging words with Hiruma, the crowd finally dispersed, allowing Zane and the others to
leave.
Zane's implication was quite strong, and even Zane himself couldn't help glancing at Sandy. Anthony's
feelings were quite obvious, almost universally known. However, Sandy hadn't made her feelings clear
yet, and Zane hoped that Sandy would be straightforward with Anthony.
Yanis discreetly glanced at Sandy, and Sandy gently shook her head, indicating that she was fine and
not to worry.
With the minor interruption resolved, the car was surprisingly quiet. After leaving the airport, Zane
drove them directly to D-king Castle.
"We can stay here for now. I'm sure there are reporters staking out all the hotels and places you've
stayed before," Zane said in a low voice to Sandy after parking the car.
Sandy nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Lawrence."
Zane got out of the car and walked to Yanis' side, opening the door for her. In fact, before going to pick
up Sandy and Brandon, Zane had instructed the housekeeper to prepare a guest room for them at D-
king Castle. He knew that Sandy's relationship with Brandon was now fully exposed, and reporters
would undoubtedly be lurking around any place Sandy might go. He wanted to ensure Sandy and
Brandon's privacy and comfort during their stay. Therefore, D-king Castle was the only place they could
be sure there would be no prying eyes.
After a day of running around, Sandy felt tired. After chatting for a while with Zane and Brandon, she
decided to head straight back to her room. Yanis noticed Sandy's exhaustion and followed her back to
the room.
Once inside the room, Yanis looked at Sandy and said, "I'll have Stella come over later."
Sandy shook her head quickly, "No, it's better not to. I haven't figured out how to talk to her about all
this yet."
Yanis chuckled softly, "Everyone in Manches City already knows about your current situation. Your
sister probably knows too, and she won't say anything. You don't have to be so nervous."
Sandy replied, "It's not that I'm nervous. I just feel like it's all happening so suddenly. Besides,
considering Stella and Luca's situation, I've been a bit resistant to marriage. I never even thought about
getting married and having children until I met Brandon. But now, my thoughts have changed
drastically. I used to think it was enough to be with Brandon, then I wanted us to be together openly,
and then I realized I want to be with him for the rest of my life, get married, and have children…"
Once these desires started growing, there was no suppressing them anymore.
"We all experience things step by step, and your path is just beginning. What's there to be nervous
about?" Yanis looked at Sandy. "You've chosen Brandon, so naturally, you should trust him. Believe
that he's the one who will be by your side till the end, not just someone to accompany you for part of
the journey."
Sandy's expression changed slightly as she listened to Yanis, and then she chuckled lightly, "Yes, I
believe in my judgment and my choice. I trust that he's the one who will be with me till the end."
Yanis nodded softly, "That's the way to think."
With the conversation at that point, Yanis paused and looked at Sandy, asking softly, "Sandy, what's
going on with you and Anthony?"
Sandy's expression changed slightly at Yanis's question. "We don't have anything special. At most,
we're just friends. He helped me once, and then I invited him for dinner. We got to know each other
from there, and you all know what happened next. Other than that, there's nothing more."
Yanis's brow furrowed slightly as she listened to Sandy. "I know what you think, but others don't.
Besides, Anthony is a complex person. You're in the deep waters of the entertainment industry, so you
have to be cautious. After all, public opinion is formidable. We trust you, but what about others?"
Yanis looked at Sandy and added, "Sandy, you might not like what I'm going to say, but sometimes the
truth can be hard to hear."
Sandy gently held Yanis's hand and said softly, "Yanis, I understand what you mean, and I don't mind
hearing it."
