Chapter 2945
"Haha. We can't possibly be appalled by you!" Avery noticed that Shelly was less wary and asked, "I heard that you are working at a cafe. Which cafe do you work for? My youngest daughter has a sweet tooth, so I want to get something for her."
After a brief moment of consideration, Shelly nodded. "Aunty Avery, the cafe recently opened, so I'm not sure if the desserts fit your taste."
"Is it yours?" Avery was slightly surprised.
"No. My friend invested in it, and I manage it," Shelly explained sheepishly.
"But you have shares in it, right?" Avery asked with a smile.
Shelly nodded.
"Can you bake?" Avery continued.
"I can't, so we hired a pastry chef," Shelly said.
Avery nodded. "Do you know about GD patisserie? Their cakes taste good."
Shelly nodded frantically. "Of course. GD Patisserie is one of the most famous brands in the industry. I love their cakes as well, but they are a little out of my budget."
"Yeah. I know their owner, so why don't I introduce you to her? If you want to make better desserts, you will need to learn from more experienced individuals." Avery truly wanted to help Shelly.
Shelly blushed. "I don't think that's appropriate. That sort of technique and recipe can't be shared with the public. For famous patisseries, their recipes and techniques are the foundation of their firms..."
"I won't ask them to teach you
everything they know. They can just let you in on a few tricks that will
help you Avery explained with an et
smile Their owner offered to teach me in the past. Why don't you come along the next time so you can learn a thing or two?"
"Are you sure?" Shelly asked.
"Hahaha! It's not a problem. I will talk to her ahead of time. She is a close friend of mine, so she wouldn't mind doing me a small favor."
Avery's smile was so approachable that Shelly struggled to refuse her help.
The two proceeded to have a lovely chat.
"Shelly, save my phone number so we can stay touch." Avery took out her phone to exchange numbers with Shelly. "Are you free this weekend? If you are, you can come by to see the baby! There will be people around at all times. Let me send you the address!"
Shelly's cheeks flushed. "I know your address."
Avery laughed. "I'll give you an access card, then! That way, you can enter the area on your own." She pulled out a card from her purse and handed it to Shelly.
Shelly hesitated for a moment, before accepting it.
"Are you really not struggling in any way? You need to tell us if you are having difficulties," Avery asked.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm really doing fine, Aunty Avery. The cafe is starting to make profits and life is getting better."
Avery was relieved and asked, "Why don't you show me your cafe, then?"
"Sure."
